The brass armour of the DE is beaut mate. Got a recipe for it?

Incubi armour: basecoat of Shining Gold (not sure what the new name is, but it's the darker of the golds) [I actually had to do a couple of layers to get a nice flat base], then two washes of Gryphs Sepia (only one for the helm), then three or four washes o Badab Black, letting each layer dry before putting the next one on. Can't remember how many layers it was, but you'll see for yourself if you give it a go.
Then a drybrush of Shining Gold and that's pretty much it : )

Ooo nice. I have a pot of Shining Gold as well. Might try this out on my Eldar.

more work done on the Bonesinger today - I've been a painting machine! (accompanied by thunderstorms - so cool)

All of the yellow done - I redid the under-robe too as I wasn't happy with it. Started on the armour highlighting - nice thin washes of Scab Red. Most of it done, just parts of the back, helm and the antler/wing thigies to do. Then I'll go in and do a further highlight of Blood red.
Sash done in Charadon Granite and then with a red wash - not wholly convinced yet, but I'll wait until the highlights start to go on; it's going to be a fairly strong red (I think...).

Bonesinger done! (Although, obviously, now that I've taken the shots, I can see bits that I'd like to go back and redo!)
Not too bad considering my sore back and it was a fairly quick job.
As requested, there's a group shot as well - and lurking in the background is the Wraithseer, which I started again on today - I restarted the blade, giving it a basecoat of Skink Blue (yes, I know it's a drybrush pigment, but it's a beautiful colour, and when you water it down lots, it works fine as a 'normal' paint), then doing the white, and then layering back to the darker shades with Temple Guard Blue, Hawks Turquoise and a bit of Necron Abyss. It works much better and with less pain than starting from Necron Abyss and just going through the light shades to white.
(also, with the 'seer in the background, I realise what a beast of a model he is!)
As ever, thank you very much for the kind words and feedback
enjoy!

Haven't seen this thread for a while. It is, I am pleased to say, still awesome.

Very nice work as always. I like the dark red effect on these Eldar. It works rather well

Nice group shot. The contrast of the light blue to the orange is particular vibrant and tasteful.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I have to agree with previous posts, the dark red effect and the way it contrasts with the icy blues is wonderful.

glad you're liking it : ) I just figured that the wraithbone on their armour had been shaped to look like literal bone, but the raw stuff the 'singer was shaping could be a bit different... and the obvious choice was blue what with colour theory and all. And I really wanted to use Skink Blue, it's officially my new favourite paint lol

Wraithseer done - yey! The last little bits were done this morning, and then I switched bases, so here he is

the pics are a little bit dark, so you can't see Stumpy too clearly...

Amazing. Colors are so vivid and fresh and thin layers give nice smooth look. Wish I could spend so much time on painting, but I frustrate too soon.

Awesome looking armies you have.

White guy CAN jump!

In all seriousness, that wardancer came out really well. Especially the tattoos and the ribbons/sashes on the spear, which really pop off the mini and add some flare.
