Noobish question; is there a rule in the main book that says skimmers can fly over enemy models?

Mainly interested in regards to surrounding webway portals and having skimmers buzz over and onto the board.

Isnt there something special if you try to fly over a Carnifex? Like he bats you out of the sky or something.

Only if you try and tank shock him.

Best Defiler moment ever, his battlecannon knocked out a hammerhead and then he moved to get between a Devilfish and the objective, the Devilfish tried to fly around him but he reached out, grabbed a hold of it and smashed it into the ground.

I'm sure this isn't related but it was pretty sweet.
