I've been quite busy over the last few days as I've finally set myself a time restraint on having my army done. Basically, I want it done by August 24th, as I leave on August 25th to go back to school. Here is what I've done so far. Tactical Marines Veteran Sergeant Assault Marines I've also found a background that doesn't completly ruin the white and make it too bright and reflect the flash. I'll post a complete list of what I have to do, my time division as well as the rest of the stuff I have, both painted and not. Khrangar

Good start. I like how your whites are turning out. Bit time consuming, I bet, but nice start altogether.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |

Well, I've been working on the sergeant a bit more and I've come across a bit of a problem. I have painted the helmet red, but the eyes are to be red as well. Should I go about painting the eyes as normal (they end up lighter, and more orangy) or paint them a different colour. Help with this and other C&C are welcome. Khrangar

For eyes, with a red helm, use green on the lenses.
It'll look sharp with the blue and white too. Dark Angels, followed up by snot, with a dab of goblin, then a dot of white in each corner.
Peace, Reodd

They look kinda wierd, you might want to try putting heads on them........ I agree with green for the eyes. I do that on my silver, blue, and red Kodiaks and it looks real nice. I start with one shade lighter so they end up majority Scorpion Green, but pretty close. Luckly you can try it and it's easy to change (I went through about 5 color choices for eyes before settling on green).

I've seen the Reaper Exarch with both weapon options and both look like things you can buy in sex shops. A weapon should not look like this, not even a Emperor's Children weapon. -Symbio Joe |

The eyes shall be green, probably a lighter green to contrast with the helmet and make it look as if they are glowing. They have heads, but the SoG have developed cloaking technology. Unfortunately it only affects their helmets so it appears as though they are an army of headless marines. That is why all those who have unhelmeted heads actually have heads.

I've done a bit more on the army, and I've finally finished all the Tactical Marines that I had to paint (20). I still need to finish up a few things on the models themselves; heads, one arm set, missile launcher set, guns, etc. but other than that they are finished. Because of this, I thought I'd post some pics of what the army looks like so far, without the addition of a Venerable Dreadnought and Chapter Master. Here we go: Full Army Shot 6 Man Tactical Squad 1 Assault Terminator Squad 6 Man Tactical Squad 2 Assault Squad: Sergeant has one arm as he's being refit with Lightning Claws 8 Man Tactical Squad Chaplain mk1 and Captain: Chaplain to be refit with Mk4 Armour That is the army thus far. I realize that some of the highlighting is kinda harsh and I intend to go back on them once the army is completely finished to make it look smoother and more appealing. Khrangar
