Freakin' awesome!  The plague riders, the chariot, the creature with bells dripping off his wings ....

I love the way your work takes the basic pieces and twists everything up in the shape of nightmares.  Clive Barker nasty.  Primal.

Dear Whiny Space Marine Players,
you get 3+ armor saves on all your troops (save scouts), Assault cannons, a huge assortment of vehicles and weapons, arguably one of the best if not THE best tank in the game, funny helmets, and a partrige in a pear tree.

suck it up, space marines. You're the emperor's chosen superhuman warriors. stop whining like a guardsmen and take it like a superman!

WOW! Mike your stuff is always amazing, it reminds us medicore artists what an army is SUPPOSED to look like.

We joke about GW minis with 40,000 skulls on them but you show how that style works.

thanks for sharing.

Another fine army from the Butcher. Nice work all over the place, especially with all the (brutal-looking) replacement blades and the big maggoty beasts. Also, this - "I painted this army in ten days in order to have it ready for the Chicago GT." - is even more amazing! Damnation!

Question time: you gave some idea of how this latest army's bases came together, but I'm curious how you make the more sculpted bases that I've been admiring for some years now. Like on this plague raptor or this iron warrior. Do you really use green putty for all of an army's bases, and do you paint them with the model attached?

Thanks for the help, and keep up the great work.

Well, it was 10 long days....

The bases you mention were all done with Apoxie Sculpt (better and less $ than GS for this kind of thing) I usually paint with the model attached, but am playing around with doing them seperatly to speed things up, etc.

I am planning a basing and movement tray turorial in the next few weeks, but honestly, WD has had some good stuff about this in the last few issues.

I'm looking at this thinking, "That's not such a big deal to be posting. I've seen these before."

Then, I got to the Threadomancy comment.

Jesus, people. How about checking the date on the last response before commenting on a thread?
