I think it was more about Peyton having serious pull. And wanting to get one last sentimental snap from a man whose butt he put his hand up hundreds of thousands of time. I thought it was awesome personally.
Could be a way to give meaning to the Probowl..... Honor the guys that are retiring.....

Report says ray Lewis used a banned substance to come back from a triceps tear in about a 1/4 of the time it normally takes. Lol really? I think the question should be how many banned substances cause I doubt it's just 1. I'm so tired of questions of steroid use in the NFL. It's pretty clear it's there so who cares. There were what 28-4 game suspensions this year in the nfl for PED....

Ed Reid (Reed?) said that Ray might not be retiring... I honestly hope he does...

I have heard some want sanctions on ND for the Teo thing.

I've also heard about 2 apparent rapes committed by ND players, but one of the supposed witnesses committed suicide and the other won't talk to the police now, but Teo should be done for fraud, not sure about ND's involvement

Teo was duped, simple fact. He's not exactly the brightest student.... But every time they televised ND games that story was talked about. Not a single network vetted the story, they just repeated it.

Do you realize the pressure he is under as a College football player.
If his team were 6-6, or 8-4 it would not have been an issue, but at 22yrs of age, and being seen as the leader of a 12-0 reg season team is a ton of pressure.
The stress probably got to him, and he was duped. He is young and has most of his life ahead of him.
Now NFL, Vegas has SF at -3.5 so they are favored, and the Over/Under is 47. I am thinking ravens (At +3.5) and the under.
What do you guys think?

As a Browns fan, I never care about the odds... I see the niners winning it.

Stress? Americans younger than that put their lives on the line everyday overseas in combat zones for months at a time. That's stress.
Than again he does primarily play a game and had a free ride through school. Maybe he was stressed enough to pillow talk with a man on the phone for 2 years... Or he's a village idiot.

There's still the stress of having to perform your best week in week out as the figurehead of what effectively is a franchise and being judged by pretty much every college football fan.
It's not combat stress but it's still stressful

I believe him when he says he was initially duped. But after he found out about it (as the reports seem to indicate), he continued to lie, which is a dumb move.
Do I care? Not at all, actually. Dumb jock got caught lying, news at 11. The world will keep spinning.
Unless Ray Lewis kills him, though...

You clearly have not played College football and tried to study, while practicing and trying to lead a defense.
It is okay, that life is not for all of us.

Art Modell died in September.
Do people in Ohio seriously call him a team stealer? Its not like he left like a thief in the night, ala Baltimore Colts. From what I understand, Ohio wouldn't build a new stadium, since he was losing money hand over fist, so he went elsewhere.

Best of luck byte and piston. May the best fantasy picker win!!! I'm already partying for the commercial bowl. As I won't be watching the actual game out of bitterness, frustration, and frankly just plain old pettiness.
Look forward to doing a fantasy league and pick em with you guys next year. Can't wait for the combine and draft. It'll be good to have something football related again.
And ALLDAY2K THE MVP!!! DID MANNING DO MANNING FACE WHEN HE LOST? I HOPE SO!!!
Byte wrote: Sapp picked to HoF over Strahan? Thoughts?
I'm more upset that it was Sapp over Haley... Strahan and Sapp didn't really have the careers to warrant a first year and in ballot. Sure Strahan has much better numbers that Sapp (including the single season record), but I think that overall he shoulda gotten in AFTER Charles Haley... Given that after winning a SB with the 9ers and getting seriously injured, they said he was done. He only worked his ass off and won another one with the Cowgirls.
