I really can't afford to pay $110 for this book but I am slightly interested in the Tau Tetra and Tau Piranha TX-42 rules. If anyone with this book can find it in their heart to PM me the rules I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Ok, beyond the fact that this is exactly the sort of thing that is frowned upon and NOT allowed on the board, what makes you think that you deserve the rules just because you're too cheap to buy them? Why should anybody just give them to you when they've spent their hard earned money for them?

Down boy. Don't let the post count fool you... this is my 2nd account. I've been a member of Dakka for 6 years. If you read my post again, you'll see that I'm "SLIGHTLY" interested in the rules for those 2 models. Slightly does not constitute spending $110 to quell my curiosity. Now if someone sends me a brief outline of the rules for these models, I MIGHT be compelled to buy the entire book myself. Thanks for your rant... not.

If I had the book I'd pm you an outline but I don't. Sorry dude. Wanna know about the first or second book? I've got those I still might have the pdf's of the experimental rules if you'd be interested in them.

Now THAT'S the Dakka I know and love
I wish you had the book too, lol. I also wish I knew why that particular book is so much more expensive than the others I just wanted to knew if Tetras would be a fun alternative to Piranhas [shrug] and what upgraded Piranhas were like. Thanks anyways though!

Being a member of Dakka for 6 years has nothing to do with the fact that you are still asking people to send you illegal copies of copywritten material. Period. You don't want to spend the money, ok. So, as a result, you don't get the material. That's how it works. Last time I checked, this is a HOBBY. Which, by it's nature, means that it's a voluntary endeavor that will cost you money to stay involved with. You don't think that the Taros rules are worth spending $110 for, that's fine, but it still doesn't give the right to them. If you want the shiny new toys (or rules, for that matter) then you should pay for the them. Basic equity.

Sigh. He's NOT proclaiming that he has a right to the rules, and he's not asking for a subsitution for spending $110. He clairified in his second post that he's asking those of us who can help him get a feel for the rules to give him an idea before he decides whether or not to buy the book. I agree that we should not be handing out copies of copywritten material on this forum- it's a basic rule here. But there's nothing wrong with helping a fellow gamer understand rules for a book before he buys it. Moreover, I'd like to add that there are pdf's of these rules around the net since FW had them on their site for free- making the pdf's content fine to give out on the boards.

Oh and one more thing- it doesn't matter whether you've been posting since the ezboard days (there are still a couple of us left ) or if you joined yesterday and enjoy posting inane topics about chaos marines and eldar- everyone should be treated the same here regardless of their senority or post count.
