hi folks

im intending to convert my commander culln model in to an inquisitor to go with my IG but at the moment im struggling to find 2 things:

1) a suitable weapons fit

and most importantly

2) Asuitable head

at the minute everything i try seems too small! ive tried the grizzled head from the FW cadian veterans, the bare head with gas mask and the bare head (both from the FW sets). does anyone else have any suggestions or ideas as to what might work for an inquisitor?

thanks

millest

I've used a metal scout head for my inquisitor, mostly becuase it is a close likness to myself...

The thing about the Cadian vets that Forgeworld released is that they're done more real-scale than the Terminators have been. So using those bits will look pretty weird. Your best bet for an Inquisitor is using one of the standard Marine bare-heads.

Why not just add some hair with green stuff to the existing culln head, or give him a bionic eye? Another option would be to file off the mohawk and just make him bald, or you could add on a little green stuff goatee beard. Little things like this can make the world of difference to a head.

That's a tricky proposition Millest... Here are my suggestions: Reaper figures, 40k and fantasy elves (there heads tend to be smaller, or at least thinner)- especially the bare head from the guardian sprue, and metal space marine scouts. I also suggest green stuff molds for the heads of Brian Nelson's imperial missionary, priests, cardinal and jacobus models.

Oh yeah...if you're using the actual body of Commander Culln...you may just want to use the helmeted head that comes with him. It's better proportioned than most of the other Terminator heads from what I've been able to tell. But that's my own opinon.

I don't think inquisitors are allowed to wear helmets.  At least, I've never seen one with a helmet on.  It stands to reason that they appear to be a whole lot more inquisitive without one.

Hasslefree miniatures has 2 different sprues of human heads (sans hair).  I just ordered one, so I don't know the scale of the heads compared to marines or guardsmen.

Might be something to look into (they're relatively inexpensive too).

1. Weapons, I would go with Cull'n's Storm bolter and the right arm from the termie chaplain (modify the crozius as needed...)

2. Good old fashioned screaming sarge head from the 3rd ed. space marine tactical box set. (Always a favourite)
