First time poster here, looking for suggestions on how to get my as-yet unpainted Bretonnian knight to nicely match the mount I did up for him.


There's a little conversion work, as you can see, trying to grab the feel of a Questing Knight who's spent a bit too much time fluttering around Araby.  I'm forgoing heraldry on this one for a spartan brown-leather feel, but I'm not sure which rags to paint which colour.  Any suggestions would be helpful!

I would replace the shield on his back with a Bretonnian shield that's so scratched and paint peeled that you can just barely see the heraldry, and then incorporate just a bit of those heraldry colors a few other places on the model such as the horse's bit and reins or maybe a few patches of leftover cloth sewn onto the leather as he hasn't lost his way, just his gear.

I'd go with either a bright red or blue scarf with golden embroidery on it.Clothes,keep them to your idea or paint them like the tarp of the horse
