Since we are on the subject of tank shocking...

What happens if a unit is forced off a board edge that is not their deployment board edge via tank shock? This will most likely have to happen via 2 or even 3 tanks doing tank shock, but is very possible.

Also, in this situation, if 1 model of a unit was forced off board, would the entire unit be lost same as a unit that is falling back?

I took a look through the BGB and couldn't find anything that covers this or would even give any precedent to it beside the falling back rules which although could be used, aren't really an A=B comparison.

Drano doesn't exactly scream "toy" to me.

Why do we constantly go through the same issues over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over?

I just don't understand.

Anyway, if you are talking about a unit failing it's Tank Shock Morale test (which I don't think you are), then of course if one model reaches the board edge the unit is removed from the table.

If you are talking about a unit that has passed it's Morale Check and must move model out of the way of the vehicle by the shortest distance, then this utimately comes down to how you play the edge of the board and the rules for removing units from play.

If you think that the rules for removing units from the table is in reference only to falling back units, then the edge of the board would be more akin to a wall or impassible terrain. A model under a vehicle would simply never move of the board. They would be moved to the shortest route to an acceptable position on the table.

If you think that anytime a unit touches the board edge it gets removed from play (a concept which I find a little hard to actually implement in a real-word game), then you probably think of the table edge as more porous. In which case you'd probably play that if one model was forced to touch the board edge by moving out from underneath a vehicle, then the whole unit would be removed.

The rules are simply a bit unclear when it comes to the edge of the board, so arguing about this will always be ultimately fruitless. The reality of the situation is that very few people are ever going to play by the "touch the board edge and always get removed" rule because it simply doesn't make sense (you move your models on the table edge from Reserves and they instantly get removed because they're touching the board edge? It doesn't work).

So save yourself some time and energy and just accept that they only way you're realistically going to Tank Shock units off the board edge is to get them to fail the Morale Check.
