Sweet Jesus!
Actually, the models don't really do it for me, but I'm happy that they exist.
Edit- Actually I really like the guy who's True Gritting the bolter. Yes, True Grit can be a verb. It's true. Look it up.

I have not been impresssed with any of the Necormunda mini's since they started rereleaseing them. They definately have the B team or Gary Morely sculpting them.

So maybe there's a chance that Necrom' will come back? Its strange that they would release new models just 'for the fun of it'

I'm with Dice Monkey: The new Specialist Games sculpts have been... pants. The old ones, with their admittedly dated weaponry, still look better. And the weapon problem? It ain't nuthing to do a weapon swap on most figs. My guess is Specialist is where they train the sculptors of tomorrow... and if so, looks like bad times are ahead.

The new redemps are stiff as statues and unimanginative. Nothing 'new' there.
And HMBC, Necro is dead, just learn to accept it.

Never! Yes the scuplts may be static but I still like the look of them. Besides Necro isn't dead in my area- our group is just starting it up again, got about 4+ players so far

I was thinking the same thing about Mordheim last night. GW should re-release those games - or at least put them up in some sort of PDF/ebook format.

I think they're great. The Ratskins and Scavvies are bad. The Orlocks are terrible. The Goliaths are ugly but fit really well with the old ugly Goliaths, and the less said about the Matriarch and Patriarch, the better. These Reds though.... they just work. They look like they should, and there are actual Juve Models!!! BYE

They are a bit stiff and the juves are the worst of the lot, still gonna pick em up though. I did not like the redos of the ratskins at all, and the orlock ( my old fav) did absolutely nothing for me. Now the new goliath figs are real good actually at least compaired to the old ones for sure. The new ghouls are interesting. The arbites are not bad either for what they are.
They were doing a pretty good job of up dating the line before they got reabsorbed by GW proper. I was told that they were still going to be doing updated figs for most all specialist games, just not in the volume we were semi-used to. Now they would be released quartely and just a few here and there. At least this proves they are still doing something about it.

Some f these look very 'flat' and old-fashioned... You know, the older GW style where most of the minis look like they should be lying on their backs?

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Do not use the CLEAR dice!
Dear Whiny Space Marine Players, you get 3+ armor saves on all your troops (save scouts), Assault cannons, a huge assortment of vehicles and weapons, arguably one of the best if not THE best tank in the game, funny helmets, and a partrige in a pear tree.
suck it up, space marines. You're the emperor's chosen superhuman warriors. stop whining like a guardsmen and take it like a superman! |

I like 'em better than the old figs, but I was never a huge Red. fan anyway. They definitely look more like a motley band of religious wack-jobs.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.
I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil |

What I still don't understand is why Specialist Games aren't more popular.
They have almost universally superior rules, quickly updated FAQs and tremendous support and communication from the developers.
Why don't we gamers play them more?

Minimal support in the WD, the stores, or on the website leave most new players just looking at me strangly when I mention Necromunda. Mordheim is new enough that there are planty that play it, and Blood Bowl seem to have a bunch of new leagues start around this time a of year in the US (US Football season starts next month).

I've seen the Reaper Exarch with both weapon options and both look like things you can buy in sex shops. A weapon should not look like this, not even a Emperor's Children weapon. -Symbio Joe |

The Commisar-Redemptionist Leader is probably the best one of the bunch. The rest of it is uneven, with good parts and bad parts.
