Thats another thing i just though up off:

Situation-A squad of 6 terminators is deep struck (struck/stricked?) next to a 3 squads of FWs.

I am less than 12 inches from them and am able to rapid fire into one squad.

Shooting-Rapid fire allows to fire twice (so thats 8 shots, one armed with autcanon) but does the fact that the squad is armed with combibolters allow me to rethrow missed rolls?

That is one missfire per terminator.

Standard SM Terminators don't carry any twin-linked or rapid fire weapons.

Which codex are you using?

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Storm bolters are not twin linked.

Chaos terminators carry twin linked bolters. Bikes have twin linked bolters. Yes, you can rapid fire your twin linked bolters and reroll misses.

Storm Bolters are Assault weapons and have been since at least the beginning of 3rd edition.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1
