Subject: What is this Ork Clan named?

Which Ork clan is it that is more "human" than the others? If I remember my fluff they are the first Ork clan to have contact with humans, and have the most contact with human. Because of this they have learned "human" tactics and use them. I am planning on themeing my orks so that they are human-like. Few spikes and cleaner, better-kept vehicles.

Bloodaxes. They tend toward actual uniforms, instead of whatever odds-and-sods of clothing/armor that Orks usually use.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

Thanks for the help. I have most of their vehicles look lik they came out of "orky" manufacturing facilities. They have standardisation, but in an orky way. My favorite is my currently my battlefortress conversion. It looks like a stretched, oversized Leman Russ.

These the same orks that work as mercenaries for some Imperials?

Yes they are. During 1st Edition/Rogue Trader era, Blood-axe Clan orks could actually ally with Imperial Guard-both in terms of the fluff & by the rules of the game. This changed during 2nd Edition, the Blood-axes were limited to using imperial/space marine equipment. 3rd Edition saw this option given to ork Lootas instead & this is where it stands today. If you ever have the chance, pick up a copy of 'WAAARGH the ORKS' by Nigel Stillman & Bryan Ansell and published in 1990. It is the best tome ever produced by GW in regards to 40K ork fluff.
