Super glue is the only glue. That or JB Weld or some 2-part epoxy glue, but that stuff is a real pain in the arse to work with. Make sure you thoroughly wash & scrub the resin with a mild abrasive soap in lukewarm water first. FW uses some crazy mold release that will interfere with gluing (and definitely paint). Have fun, I hear those kits are a real torture lesson.

Bob Smith Industries makes good CA glues in a wide variety of types. You can usually find this in your local hobby shops. The glue will usually be carrying the shop's own name on a pre-printed, self-adhesive label stuck over the silver "BSI" logo on the front of the bottle (BSI markets these glues to hobby shops as "custom labeled adhesives").

I use the maxi-cure listed at http://www.bsiadhesives.com/Pages/hobby/ca.html and have had good luck using it with FW resin in the past. If you can't find any in your immediate area, this shop in Burbank carries it:

It depends on the part somewhat, but I typically use superglue or a quick drying 5 minute 2 part epoxy.  For a large mount on a flat area, like the cockpit of a Valkyrie to the hull superstructure, I'd use the epoxy and a bit of the superglue to hold it in place.  For the wings to the body, I'd use superglue.

Now, that being said, you typically will get a nasty looking gap at any joint.  I use Apoxie Sculpt to hide those gaps.  GW has been touting this stuff for some of it's modelling and sculpting for the last few years.  It really works pretty slick.  I like it because you can actually smooth it out with a large wet brush (about a tank brush sized).  You can really feather out the paste in this fashion.  Once it dries, you can go back and get a second layer if necessary.  I haven't done any pods yet, but I'd think it will work well there too.
