Beltayn let the words wash over him, that was until the farseer mentioned Syrath...He stood up, his anger and wrath returned in place of grief.

"Syrath...that scum has been the bane of too many...he has been killed no doubt countless times...but each time he comes back...how? How can we kill something that does not die? There has to be some way to end his existence. For this alone I would fight, I would do what is necessary to erase his memory from the cosmos, I owe Ludias that much."

"We could as a last resort, make a deal with the Daemon to stop his attacks on us or destroy his warp essence an almost impossible task to complete."

Lucian Frost fang looked over the snows to the gathering of the different races and sighed in his throat. Finally, it was time. he looked at the crater several hundred metres off to the right... He had seen the explosion and seen his quarry dissapear, no matter, after that battle the forces here would want revenge on the daemon. He walks forwards steadily angling for the tau
"Shas'o Tau Kais!!! I bring greetings from Fenris and the Sons of Russ"

Several Tau Fire-Warriors and Dark Eldar turn to face the Space Wolf, a Eldar Ranger sits alone on a Cliff-Side while a Tau Commander stands with Farseer talking until they see the approaching Space Wolf.

"Then the sorcerer must be slain. I shall rip him in twain as a sacrifice to the Architect of Fate!" Arrius roared, "I shall also require an adequate diversion, so that I can get close enough to destroy the abomination!"

"That is our specialty Daemon Prince, we will cause Chaos with the turret systems and force the Chaos guards to move towards that area. Then you can make your precise strike"

So I'd like to join. Here's my character sheet and everything. Just curious, where is the battle that's going on currently talking place? Once I have a clear idea of what's going on, I'll join in by saying the warp dumped them out there.

Age: 71 (or 273, if you count the strange time passed in warp travel)
Wargear: Power Armor, Power Sword, Plasma Pistol
Race: Astartes
Powers and abilities: Standard Astartes Abilities, such as spitting weak acid, going days without sleeping and superhuman endurance
Servants: The Remnants of the Imperial Hounds Chapter

Background: While most Space Marine Chapters were created to defend humanity from the countless Xenos, Daemons and Heretics that terrorized the galaxy, the Imperial Hounds were created for something different. Much like the Night Lords prior to the Horus Heresy; they were a Chapter tasked with keeping humanity in line at all costs. Basilius was one of the founding members of the Chapter, though at the time he was a mere Battle Brother that had been transferred from the Ultramarines. As time went on, the Imperial Hounds flourished and Basilius climbed up the ranks. After heroically executing forty seven citizens suspected of heresy in a ten minute raid, he was promoted to the Commander of the 10th Company. When he ordered the orbital bombardment of Cirtus V, he promoted to 6th Company Commander for "displaying the ability to accurately judge and assess situations."

He served for many years honorably until the entirety of the Imperial Hounds were tasked with putting down a Genestealer Cult on Zirith III. The battle was mainly a series of skirmishes within sewers, abandoned buildings and gang infested hives. As the Imperial Hounds gained the upper hands, Hive Fleet Leviathan arrived. Attracted by the psychic beacon of the cult and extremely hungry, the Chapter was massacred and ultimately escaped the battle with only seven remaining Astartes, with Basilius among them. As the highest ranked survivor, he was immediately promoted to Chapter Master and his first act of duty was to attempt to contact Terra. The Shadow in the Warp from the Tyranids blocked the message and Basilius made the decision to deliver it personally. As his ship with the remainder of the Imperial Hounds set off for Warp Travel it was attacked by a Tyranid ship and was sent spiraling off course upon entering the warp.

During the long, insane voyage the astropath died, as did two of the surviving Imperial Hounds. Now, 202 years following the Massacre at Zirith III, the Imperial Hounds have been finally shot out of the Warp, though they are quite far from Terra. Basilius emerged battered and half insane, but still a powerful Astartes.

Appearance: Like all of the Imperial Hounds' Basilius' armor is pitch black save for the silver electronics and glowing red eyes. This is for intimidation purposes of course. Underneath his armor the Astartes is extremely ugly and malformed, with bald swollen skin, dozens of jutting artificial enhancements and sunken back brown eyes.

Warband-
Librarian Heron-Though Heron is a talented psyker, the warp has hurt him badly. Heron frequently suffers from strange visions, crippling head aches and hears whispering voices. He is careful to keep these hidden, as revealing such could warrant execution. Armed with Force Weapon, Bolter and Bolt Pistol.

Assault Marine Swithe-This Assault Marine is proud owner of the only remaining Jump-Pack of the Imperial Hounds. He is mostly intact from Warp Transit. Armed with Chainsword and Bolt Pistol.

Tactical Marine Mathew-Mathew is constantly muttering incomprehensible things and hasn't taken off his armor since the Massacre. Armed with Bolter.

Tactical Marine Severianus-After the Massacre Severianus was badly injured and now has four bionic limbs, in addition to artificial lungs. Severianus is quiet and obedient. Armed with Meltagun

Scout Theseus-The last survivor of the 10th Company, Theseus is somewhat of an outcast among the Chapter due to his lack of "Full Astartes Status." Little is known about the Scout. Armed with Chainsword and Bolt Pistol.

"Sir we are emerging, heavy damage to all systems and multiple targets close by. Our targeting systems are down but several of our outer scanning systems have survived, at least 30 unknown ships are in orbit in the planets atmosphere while several Tau and Eldar ships are in orbit around a single massive Xenos craft. Other Chaos ships nearby and entering the planet bellows atmosphere, we are ready for your orders Captain."

[OOC: Yay, another player! This should make things more interesting.]

"Excellent..." the beast sneered.

Arrius ordered his new found ally to lead him to the sorcerers location.

The Herald and Prince arrive at the side of the shield were a horned Sorcerer wearing little but robes and basic metal armour chanted madly while Chaos Marines of the Iron Warriors keep constant Guard;

"Their they protect him, we shall draw their fire Daemon Prince."

Within seconds the Daemon appears not far from the marines and points and laughs at them;

"Can you catch me or will your Giant lead and Iron shoes slow you down?"

The Daemon runs of with the Marines in tow....

Concurrently, just as the Herald vanished, the servant of Tzeentch transported Arrius close to where the Sorcerer stood. He knew their would be no point in sneaking up behind a fellow being with foresight, so he brashly charged directly at the horned creature. The Sorcerer shifted it's attentions from protecting the Employer's ship to fending off the crazed the daemon which was assaulting him. It projected a destructive bolt of pure warp energy directly at the towering Daemon Prince. hoping to maim it. To the chaotic creature's horror, Arrius merely brushed the psychic attack aside with the sweep of one of his talons.

"Really... you actually expected that to harm me... " the Daemonic monstrosity bellowed at it's victim.

Arrius raised a taloned palm and focused his mind upon the Sorcerer. The abomination's body began unnaturally convulsing and the psyker writhed in intense agony. It screamed and yelled profane proclamations to the Ruinous Powers as it's shape slowly changed. Pained yelps were exclaimed as it morphed into an unholy abomination, as it transgressed into pitiful Chaos Spawn. The Daemon Prince smirked, pleased with the knowledge that his arcane Gift of Chaos had worked so perfectly.

Arrius searched the barren landscape for a piece of chain. To his delight he found a rusted piece amongst the many items which the Iron Warriors had left behind. The Daemon Prince marched towards the slavering creature which was formerly the sorcerer and tied the chain around it's neck. A makeshift "lead" was crafted from the rest of the rusted chain.

[OOC: Of course I'll be there, I still need to finish painting and modelling Syrath. ]

A heavily damaged Battle Barge displaying no chaos insignia is suddenly spewed forth from the Warp and into the Eye of Terror, appearing on all radars. The ship is shooting ahead at top speed and is clearly uncontrollable. The few remaining thrusters attempt to slow its descent to no avail and the vessel plows into the atmosphere. Massive panels, broken turrets and chunks of metal snap off, littering the ground. Finally it hits the ground, obliterating the front half of the ship in a massive explosion. From within the wreckage a figure emerges.

"Now you shall feel my unholy wrath, all ships open fire on their craft! Force them into a tight nouce from which their is no escape, one foe of mine fell today another will as well!"

Syrath screams foul propaganda over the Vox channels as he defends from the skies, he crashes into the ground next to Arrius and nods to his servant;

"My accension is almost complete but four more foes remain that truly oppose me, let us dine on their flesh!"

The Space marines emerge, all proud and glad that the Emperor has given the holy and glourious protection. A Web-Way gate is not to far from the Crash site and begins to buzz with energy and power as the Dark Eldar of the Black Heart Kabal emerge. Raiders and Venoms speed from the black shadow towards a low atmosphere battle....

[OOC: So... em... which one of the four enemies should I send the Daemon Prince to fight, in order to develop Arrius' story?

Also, what do you think of Arrius' new pet. ]

"What is your bidding my master?" Arrius spoke gravely, while kneeling to Syrath.

"The Employers still remain a perpetual thorn in my side. They must be eliminated so that my transformation can be complete." the beast responded.

"Alright men," says Basilius, pushing away a broken door and freeing himself from the wreckage. "Form a defensive perimeter immediately. We'll determine our location first and our coarse of action next. Its been a... difficult journey, but I think we're a step closer to Terra. Remember, the Emperor Protects." As his men scurry about to secure the wreckage, the Chapter Master looks into the horizon and squints. He just barely sees what could be a humanoid figure.

Lucian raises his hands in a show of good faith, Icetooth maglocked to his belt and his Master Crafted bolter resting against his back on a sling.
"I mean you no harm, I have tracked the daemon Syrath all the way from Fenris. I am here to avenge the deaths of the Wolf Lord Marius and the Wolf Guard Mikal. And I will not leave until either my body is broken or Syrath is locked into servitude of the warp. I have the wargear to do so"
He raises his hand higher and opens it showing a small glowing ring built into his armour.
"This ring has been designed specifically to lock Syrath into a miniature warp dimension, where he will be tortured for eternity for his crimes. He wil not bew able to escape for even if the ring is destroyed he will be locked there. The ring is like a one way gate. Even should the gate be broken there is no way back."

"It is good to see another Space Wolf, I feel they always welcome in my prescence," Kais says, fairly cheerful at the sight of another Space Marine. "I knew Marius and Mikal well, they were great warriors, and had fought allongside me many a time. It would be an honour fo gith with another just one more time. How did you know them?"

"It will not work and We cannot kill him, he is immortal or even trap him. Syrath is favored by all four of the Chaos Gods and is still not on a Leash like Warmaster Abbadon, his actions will defy this realm for eternity unless we stop him forever by the worse way possible. A deal with the Daemon, his reach is so foul it will destroy a thousand realms after this one."


Raiders and Ravagers fly over head the Space Marines, Dark Eldar Warriors hang from there mounts and hiss and scream the foe. They do not fire instead they concentrate on the battle ahead.

"I doubt that a deal will work," Kais sighss turning to the Farseer. "He has hated me ever since we first met, and I am one of few who have survived his reign of terror. He will not want to make a deal with me, he will want to take my head off."

"Syrath makes deals with anyone, he's the kind that does not care for his past enemies when he makes contracts however they do cost and such a contract would cost a large amount indeed unless we detonate a warp bomb connected to the Web-Way system of the planet and detonate it, it will consume the planet and stop Syrath for some time."

OOC: Oh yeah, and Reaper, the thread for the aliens RP is up, if you wanna join...

"Fine," Kais says before turning back to the newcomer, Lucian, and the others. "If there are no arguments, we should contact Syrath immediately, but I still don't like this."

The Employers hovered over each end of the holo-table; the light blue projection of the battle flickered and changed every so often as the two fleets battled. They had lost their energy shields and even with the Eldar ships they could not put them to full use without the Eldar blood line, but they had other means. They had gained blood samples and the correct technology to create a ‘clone’ or being to complete the task, and the blood samples of other Eldar servants;

“We have had some progress my great lords, our scientists have created the embryo and are preparing it for advanced growth but it will take some time and Coraks is still holding the line against Syrath’s Warriors for now.”

The Tech-Lord bows before the Employers and leaves the room while they plot and plan, the lead Employer claps its long mechanical hands and laughs coldly;

“What a fine mess you’ve all made, good to know I have to clean this up and now Syrath has summoned his fleets and star craft.”

“Something’s moving fast towards us! The Prince from Earlier!”

The Lead Employer turned;

“Tell Coraks to crush him!”

I wonder if anyone has guessed the Employers plan...

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but are you talking about my warband/Space Marines or other Space Marines? Thanks.
