The white breaks up the silhouette, much like it does on a Zebra. I'm just used to the BFG scale ships that never land.

I'm looking for a successor to BFG. Ideally, with build your ship rules, so we can use our BFG fleets as well.

Oh I may use them for BFG or other games, but these are tiny versions of a ship in Yamato 2199. Full Thrust rules may be possible?


Anyway, the camouflaged Dreadnought with a wash. It concentrated enough in spots on the white camo that one would think it had been fighting recently

looks really mysterious... hints a bit of submarine feel too...

Glad the details helped it. the red are the torpedo door covers, they can sit in water, but are space craft.

I also painted the 3rd one it is in a red color scheme, a plain one like the blue, the red doors are harder to discern if one has red colorblindness, or trouble discerning shades.

that last one looks way more alien compared to the former ones...hmmm almost eldar...

and... i didn´t see a second hue of red there^^... do i have to worry now?

It is still made by the same race as the others.

I think as they are very close shades, I will redo them in a darker red.

I've managed to sit down long enough to read the last few pages for your blog, and I must say I love what you've done with the Skitarii. It's not helping my weak-willed resistance against buying the Rangers box at all.

These ships are also gorgeous, I've never seen them painted before, only bare when on sale at conventions. Very well done!

I love the Garmilan space ships. Although I really want one of the large Yamato models.

Plenty to see in my blog, it is old enough, LOL!

My Skitarii are now the Trade Worlds Cartel Shipment Guardians, they repel pirates and other would be thieves of the cargo they transport.

Thanks! the trick is how small they are, I am waiting for them to make a new batch of the 1/1000 scale Dreadnought, that will be a HUGE model at 73cm long!

Yeah, I am on a waiting list for the re-batch of Domelas-III 1/1000 scale a true beast of a model ship!

Finally got done with work on Skarnotz, one of the Bruvvas 'Notz., and in the last imnage you can see how big and scary he is! that is one brave trooper standing his ground.

i actually think this is a more realistic kind of model from their range... says a ton if that applies for an orky model...

Oh, the closest I came were the commissariat sisters, I do not collect the Dark Eldar, of which the scantilly clad ladies would fit in with. their website would also have to start showing me they are for general sale, not the kickstarter for them.

ach... don´t let me start on kickstarter... i have no credit card and thus the whole issue is a very frustrating one... seeing all those cool minis getting promoted and not being able to get a slice of the cake....

No worries, I went back to painting the light part of the camo on the remainder of the Valkir today. I still have to finish the 5 storm troopers that play the agents of the "The Alliance" as it is five world alliance, a small power-block, but one in which I will retcon their image to the chapter I posted on them in my fiction piece down in the fiction section.

Well, Garmillas ships are quite the bit smaller than Star Wars Empire ships, but they have loads of them!

Yeah weird concept huh? and these are the living infected, they still have some brain power left to work ships and weapons. I would need the re-animated infected as they are the shambling mindless (mostly) hordes.

LOL! and they fill foam trays, the top of my dresser, and some are in boxes close for paint work to be finished

Eisenkern have grown, 26-Panzerjeagers, 30 Valkir, 9 Heavy Weapons, and about 41 troopers and 8 Nachtjaegers, plus Rommel X and the older Bauhaus minis. Near 100 soldiers just from Kruegeria not counting all other troopers I own.
