I still don't know what kind of time I have today... I have an appointment tonight at 8 p.m. I could play Warmachine for sure, if you want. I know you wanted to play Warhammer 40K, but I think it will take too long... my army takes 30 minutes just to pack and unpack! If you want to play Warmachine, let me know and we can meet at Legends at 4 p.m. and play a few matches. I killed Built-In with a caster-kill (twice) last week... it was fun!

Ahh yeah after leaving my message i packed up some stuff and headed to my cottage for the weekend, which sadly has no internet/phone reception of any kind.

Hey all, I'm going to be moving to toronto from september till december for work, and there seems to be a healthy wargaming scene there judging by this thread! I've played 40k for a year and a half and warmachine for about a month, and am keen to play both in toronto. What wargaming places do you guys recommend? I'll probably be staying near to the financial district for work but am keen to travel about to get games if necessary.

If your in the financial district you are in a slight dead zone and gotta go North, east or west to reach some games.

Closest will be the Games Workshop on Younge... standard stuff but a bit WWAC type of crew sometimes.

Next closet is meeplemart on carlaw (to your east) open Tues/Thurs/Sun, from my experiences has a solid crowd that goes out, generally friendly and the store has stellar prices.

Outside of that Legends (up to the north west somewhere) has some fans, and Heavy Support games to the west (while they support more MTG and warmachines) is good as well.

These are your best choices for 40k.

Since google maps has ttc directions, I took the liberty of mapping a route from King/Bay to both Games Workshop and Meeplemart.

Both take about 30minutes to get to.

While I played at GW regularly for years, I much prefer gaming at Meeplemart. We have a good group that's down every Sunday. I've posted about some of the events we've had there over the past few months on my site if you're interested. There's lots of pictures of the types of tables Meeplemart has available.

Thanks alot guys, sounds like theres a good amount of places to game. I'll head down to Meeplemart on Sunday the 9th to say hi and maybe play a few games.

Does the GW have a dedicated gaming night where its open till later on? I'd like to get in at least one night of gaming during the week after work, but I'd be happy playing Warmachine too if theres a playerbase for that at Meeplemart

No problem man. I didn't actually run this one which meant I got to play! Next one will be run by me again.

We're looking at Sept 23 or Oct 7th for a full 1500pt 6th edition tournament.

I WILL HAVE VENGEANCE! and a display board.

If you are willing to travel to Legends, or at least to the nearest subway station (I can always pick you up), I would love to get some Warmachine games in. I only began Warmachine about 1 month ago, but I love it.

I only game at Legends. I love the large, open gaming area and the 5 dedicated tabletops that are solely for miniature gaming. The gaming area is separate from the retail area, which limits traffic. There is a strong group of players who are regularly found at Legends. It will be further for you, but if you make the journey, I can assure you that you will be happy. I am looking forward to having some new blood...

Hey everyone, I just signed up on this forum (long time lurker) but I was in Legends today (again another first) and was asking about finding games and they suggested to come here.

I have some time off work this week, and would love to get a game or more of 40k in. I play nids/DE/deathwing. Drop me a pm if you are interested in getting a game in at legends any time this week/weekend. Would love to meet some of the players in the community.

I play Khador at Warmachine, have a small bunch of Skorne, and have about 3-4000 points of chaos daemons for 40k. Might also bring black templars depending on luggage allowance

I play on Sundays at Legends and Heroes on Sundays
I will be there playing Gorkimus this Sunday.

I think Dark Eldar Elite might come as well

Yeah i'm usually good for games sunday from 10-6 and thrusday from 4-10 at legends, though posting on the forum first is the only way to be sure someone will be there. A lot of these stores are kind of off the beaten trail a bit so it's generally better to confirm with someone online before you head over for a game.

I'll be at Meeplemart this Sunday, in case anyone wants a game.

It will be a 40k doubles on Saturday November 3rd. 4 games, 1000pts per player, $70 for the team if paid by October 20th, $80 for the team after.

Sunday November 4th will be a Fantasy Singles, 2200pts per player, 4 games, $35 by October 20th, $40 after.

Hello, I am a 29 year old newb. I had always been fasicated with the game. A few years ago I had acquired a small necron army (approx 1k in points) but moved away to where no one who played. Ive since returned to Toronto and dug out of storage the lost army and wouldnt mind getting some games in. I live closest to meeplemart. Ive never played a game aside from a few demos awhile back at the old Eaton Centre store with some store owned Orcs. Is it ok to show up and get a few games in?

If you demoes 40K back in 2nd/3rd edition at Eaton center it may have been me running the demo!

Meeplemart has a solid Sunday crowd from what I've been told, keep meaning to make it out there but it's hard to wrestle free time away from the gf in the summer.

We also play at Legends Warehouse and Heavy Support, there's other places too, someone else chime in on this.
