maby have the points extend steeper, like 2-1 0r 3-1 and have the roof converge in the middle, kind of like a split upside down ice-cream cone

Widen out the base a little, bring it up to a fine point and extend until you hit the limit.

I was thinking of starting a clan/group/gang but I cannot think of a name (post if you have one) or an icon. (no shields or diamond swords as they are too common) But I thought of having a wither skeleton head as a background with glistering melon at the bottom. And maybe a YouTube channel! (adventure map let's plays?)

I don't think many of us are particularly interested... The surprising lack of people who are capable of setting up a basic server is rather shocking, complete with the high reliance on Hamachi... I've managed to host 2 to 3 people from Britain to Aus and NZ without it being too laggy. After that it takes a nose dive.

Esentially, if you want to do reliable group uploads, you essentially all need to be connected via LAN from the same network, ala Yogscast.

I was debating doing that for the tekkit one. I don't like the costs, nor do I like asking people for money. Because I know that I'd eventually go mad with power.

Personally, I'd happily put a bit in for a server fund for a tekkit server.

At a very quick glance, with a site picked at random, we could get a 15 man server with a gb of memory for $20, or in real money £14 a month. Stick in about £3 each, even a bit less, and we've got an up and running tekkit server.

Why not just hire a Daddycheese server? You can rig it up for Tekkit after a bit of fiddling, and it's pittence per month.

Yeah, real money is euro's.

The dakka MC server is hosted on the dakka servers.

Actually, the Pound Sterling is the oldest currency in the world, still in use.

but yeah, I get the feeling that the dakka server is pretty damn huge

Dakka as a site's on many servers, and the MC one is on the smallest.

Heh heh...nah, no doomsday device. A lot of work, though. Not anywhere nearly complete. Made a lot of progress on Sunday, though.
