=/ I'm hunting about that area trying to see if its being used in any of the houses, but its such a weird thing to do that I doubt it would've been put to a sane use.

...I'm standing there in the nether right now with such a dumbstruck look on my avatar's little pixelated face. =)

I've tried out redpower, thaumcraft, mystcraft, industrialcraft, etc etc etc... out of all the various crafts, I'd say industrialcraft combined with buildcraft is the best thus far...

If you're talking about the pagoda-ish thing, that's mine (with the Netherbrick, Netherwrack, fences and iron bars). But yeah, just seems like such an odd thing to do.

What I tend to do is just mine out the insides of the big pillars, and the little dead-end offshoot branches inside the mountains. Plenty of material in a 20x5x5 column.

Also, though Buildcraft and IndustrialCraft are the most 'compatible' and can be used to make incredible things, you need the Magic mods to be able to do anything with the loads and loads of cobble and dirt you'll get using Quarrys and such.

Though what's interesting is that Equivalent Exchange no longer allows for INFINITE EMC through the use of Macerators, since all the metal Ores are non-transmutable. You can still use Vis to make them, though.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Since the primary building material for me is stonebrick and wood planks, that's not really a problem for me.

I found equivalent exchange to be un-fun.

Wtf. Anvildude I only just noticed what you're talking about. That's recent, as in the past month or so. I've been by it loads of times since its changed, but only now that you've mentioned it have I noticed someone's taken all the Netherbrick.

Send me some netherside coords of the location and I'll see what I can do. Also the map's been updated.

Tower looks nice on the map.

That pit to the right I'm not so sure of, always found random pits in deserts to look ugly. I can also see what looks like an extra two dungeons besides the two I had already found in that area. I guess now that's left is to extend it out to the other half before some random shack pops up in between them in render distance...

Hmm... You know what could be cool? Covering over that entire body of water with just 1 or 2 blocks gap, where the Titans sit. Use it as a giant flat building area, and then we'd have the abiliyt to do something interesting beneath.

Speaking of which, I've already been making a very large mob grinder/holder beneath the titan. All you can see of it from the surface are the corners:

Basically Grundz wanted one because Minecraft has a hostile mob limit, so we thought having all the mobs trapped underneath it would lower the number of mobs spawning on top of the Titan.

Currently the grinder can be set in one of two states, a "holding" mode, where mobs are held close to the surface, and then it can also go into XP farm mode where the mobs are dropped for a one or two punch kill. Unfortunately due to the current 1.3.2 fall damage buginess some mobs die on impact and some need two or three punches. I even set up a little "alarm" to sound when mobs are ready for punching.

Also although it's operating and useable, the mob spawner is currently only about 10% complete and I hope to widen it out to the full width of the Titan eventually (as well as deepen it).

^^ Tah for the map Darkinnit, though youknow I like building, so its already out of date (though it is nice to see the changes made over a few days compounded into one map update). ....Anyhow.

- 278, + 197, elevation 78. That whole corridor from the stairs up until the portal at the ender of the corridor (though it may have been more, I just haven't noticed the change until now).

Thanks, I'll look into it later today.

As for the map, it's often out of date as soon as it's uploaded because I generate the map from the most recent backup, which due to my schedule, is often 5 hours behind (but I can't wait for the next backup). What I might do is shift the backup schedule to match my map schedule, so that the map seems more up to date when I update it :-)

Oh Darkinnit, somebody's turned off Janje2's nether portal (nether side). I and Not_u noticed it yesterday, but thought he did it, but apparently not.

This is the most egregious griefing area.

I build a cobble bridge there so I could cross without having to jump around like an idiot trying to get out of the pit that was made. But what worthless piece of trash does something like that? That was obviously someone's construction (mine), and if you don't realize that from looking at it you're an idiot...

Near there, yeah. There's a big gap in one section (easily traversible, but open to Ghasts) and a ton of the Netherbrick has been either taken (in my own area) or swapped for Stone or Stone Brick.

And I haven't really been on significantly in months, so yeah.

I've been swapping the netherbrick for cobble/stone in the nether tunnels around that area when i've been in a hurry to get netherbrick, I didn't think it would be a problem aslong as I swapped it for another material so no trouble from ghasts.

Sorry, I can leave 5-6 stacks of Netherbrick in a chest in Grey Mesa for you or I'll swap all the stone/stone brick back to netherbrick, whatever's easier for you.

I defintelly havn't been destroying any bridges, the only places where I took from have been replaced with stone.

I just assumed that i'd be ok aslong as I swapped it out for another material, didn't realise the nether is divided up into property like the overworld, just thought it was public property or something.

Aplogises for any inconvience and i'll replace all that I took by the end of tonight or give it to Anvildude if that's what he'd prefer.

The rest of the damage defintelly isn't me though.

Schellan96's had some set off tnt/charged creeper at his house (plus a few creeper holes) + remove his bed, steal diamonds and mess his portal up. Also, between him and DbSamurai a tunnel's been blown up.

....Long day. =P

Edit, oh his brewing stand's gone too.

The nether is a community thing. There are some definite "property" areas, but for the most part we do it together. Which is why usually, unless it's building an expansion to reach your own portal, we ask before making changes.

Like when we moved most of the tunnels from glass to iron bars, we all pretty much agreed that it was better because we were tired of it being destroyed by ghasts. If you want netherbrick, I can direct you to a section of several nether forts that are unused, you can mine away at your leisure.
