Mojang updated their login system a few months ago. Formerly you could use an account unique to Minecraft, though after the update they now require you to link that account with a Mojang one. Just them getting more of a hold of user accounts really (ie having one list rather than one for each game they have servers for makes things easier).
Anyhow, the servers aren't peaking right now with the number of users that are on, so don't be put off by a low player count. You can however check who's online here. For the moment the FtB server's got the most traffic, however this has ebbed due to an oncoming, though not immediate reset to the server. =P

I'd like to let the owner of the building at X-1598 Z-655 know that a creeper spawned and exploded in your basement. I would fix it but I just got started and I don't have any materials yet. Sorry about the damage.

Can't acces the map from here on my phone.
Any idea who's place it was? South/north east or west?
Its probably not my place though, since that's located at the southernmost place that you can see on the map.

It's here:
http://www.darkinnit.com/dakkamap/#/-1613/64/642/max/0/0
Just realized the URL updates the location. Automatically Appended Next Post: Does anyone know a good place near here where I can find coal?
http://www.darkinnit.com/dakkamap/#/-2040/64/711/-1/0/0
I just built a wood house there. If someone could bring me a few pieces of coal, that would be great. Just put it in the chest in the house. I only need a few pieces so I can start making charcoal and then make torches to begin mining.

You can find coal anywhere on the map. It spawns a couple of blocks down from the surface at the most, and is probably the most common ore. You can however make charcoal (coal in all but name) by putting wood logs in a furnace (which can be fueled by wood logs too) and use that for torches.
That building looks new to me. Turning on signs shows the bed there to be owned by Saintkicky.
Anyhow, if that's where you choose to build your house I would advise that you move it. The guidelines for building are that you should be out of sight of someone else's structure and at least 200 blocks from them (in case there's just a mountain in between).

Having logged onto the server for the first time in a while I can't seem to find any ores/ingots in my house nor my diamond armour. I do tend to lose things a lot, but its not the case that I died whilst wearing the armour the last time I was on I don't think. =/
Then again, its been a while and I may have forgotten.'
*Edit
Scratch that. Found a chest full of weapons, armour and all that other goodness in an obscure corner of my underground fortress.

So you can use logs as fuel in the furnace, that's good to know.

Logs, wood, sticks, saplings.
Planks aren't very good fuel- not efficient. Logs 'burn' for 1 item. Sticks are 4 for 1 (or something like that). Planks do some and a bit.

Then you can turn wood into charcoal.

Thats exactly what you do.....
You have clearly never played super hostile. Wooden tools can also be burned for 1.5 items.
1 charcoal = 8 items burned
8 charcoal + 64 wood = 64 charcoal (Increases charcoal and also is more cost effective.)

That's me. Those are my 'survival towers'. They were for before my spawn was set and before I had a proper Nether route connection, so I could get back towards Spawn if necessary. All cobble and cobble stairs, with a bit of food and materials for making basic weapons, armour, torches, inside. Designed before corner stairs.
Why?

Honestly, what's more awesome is the sheer amount of Cobble and Stone I've been using in the construction of the Mesa.

I was just wondering, and I also think they're really cool. I'm not using any of your stuff, but right now I'm using one of them for the night while I move to a new destination for my house. It's northwest of your castle.

there are definitely horses in the plains by the sandstone pyramid that is west of spawn. If need be I have some that I could part with, you could even breed your own using the stock I have.

Why the is there a hole that goes to bedrock right outside my door? I fell down it and lost all my diamond armour/weapons. Typically it despawned by the time I went back for it (a minute later).

I've had a look and I can't see any holes, but then you may have already covered it up and you also have so many doors, so...
Let me know where to check and I'll investigate.

Its on the hillside immediately outside the door on the opposite side of the house to the Japanese/Korean/generic oriental thing. I just happened to randomly fall down it when running to let Ma55terfett in. As it took long enough for me to find it that my stuff despawned it is a tad hard to find. However I really don't recall digging it, though I may have. Whoever did must have killed themselves as soon as they dug it though by digging a sister shaft (giggity ...sorry) right next to it and jumping off a perch.
It does seem decidedly odd, so I do suspect that I may have had something to do with it...
Doctadeth wrote:http://www.darkinnit.com/dakkamap/#/690/64/-1356/-1/0/0
Thats WAY too close sorry
Ah, I didn't see that when I first looked at your house. Its surprisingly how many people don't bother to read the server guidelines, or just don't take them in.
I think the rule with these things is; Alert the mods (read Darkinnit) to its presence. Try and work out who owns it, failing/succeeding in that take it down with a minimal use of fire/explosives/fricken death rays.
