There have been lots of times in the past when people have come to an accommodation when it comes to buildings close to each other, especially in the early days of the server. My place is right next to The Manor, and very close to Corpses' place too, but no-one minds much -- our borders are fairly clearly delineated, and I think we all started building at more-or-less the same time, so it seems to work fine. I think that negotiation is probably the best bet, at least to start with. Most people quite like the idea of *good* neighbours. Who else would you invite round for cake?

I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible.
Right, to begin with, most of the "problems" from last night seem to have all been worked out. Inquisitor Ehrenstein has permission from both Anvildude and Mondo to be where he is. He also has said on many occasion that he is not building the wall that some of you are complaining about (some of you seem to be ignoring this). However, Inquisitor Ehrenstein, as I have said before, don't just start walling off a large area, build your place first. Wall off a much smaller area first if needed against mobs, but walling off a huge area will not prevent mob spawns.
To the others who felt the need to weigh in, there's far too much of this going on. You made your points, there was no need to keep posting the same thing over and over. Yes he built on other's land, but Anvil and Mondo were active on both the forums and the server, if they had any problem with it, they would have brought it up, either with Inquistor Ehrenstein or me. They do not need your white-knighting. It might have helped if they had posted on the thread saying it was ok, but I don't think everyone has to start making lists of who is ok with who. Some of you were even making your own rules up, or severely misquoting the rules we have.
As Ian Sturrock has pointed out, there's nothing wrong with people building close to each other, a lot of other builds on the server are all much closer to each other than the areas in dispute here.

Janje, you tried this excuse once before, remember how well that turned out? Well now it's the same again, Janje, you're banned, again. You have caused numerous complaints on many occasions and last night you were deliberately belligerent and actively built directly on top of Inquisitor Ehrenstein's place.
I have a question for anyone that cares to answer.
In the past I used a building pattern for a large building I made on another server (a wizard's tower). Do other things exist for different structures?

That's what I used for my wizard's tower... I was kind of hoping there would be something for like castles and what not Ugh I don't want to mine all of this stuff, I quit Minecraft for a year after doing that dang tower

Well
You could do a staggered pattern
_____

\ _____ /
Or you could use this as an example
From whom are unforgiven we bring the mercy of war.
Or just play it by the seat of your pants. Start building, see what comes of it..
That's how I do things. I like columns, and large columned halls. So I do variations on columned halls- different sizes, layouts, lighting systems, floors, patterns... I also like towers. So I found circle patterns, and started making towers.

WOAH!!!!
I wasn't even online!
I went offline at 3:00 last night. Came back online at about 10 this morning and his house had been hit by a creeper. I gathered his crap and stuck it in a chest.... How can you say it was me when I wasn't even online?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Well I wasn't online for the Creeper incident. I came online and saw gak had hit the fan from Mondo's Window so I went to investigate and fix my "house".
I admit to the building of the house as a joke, and that can easily be removed. But I didn't blow up his house... I've been banned once, why the hell would I blow someones house up again AND get the person who kindly vouched for me banned as well???

Eh, Coolyo's already had his vouching rights revoked, banning him wouldn't change anything.
I repeat, you have caused numerous complaints on many occasions and last night you were deliberately belligerent and actively built directly on top of Inquisitor Ehrenstein's place.

Mining is boring as hell, if I go in with a plan of attack, I can figure out what I need to do and how to do it I would totally play it by the seat of my pants if I was more creative I was the kid with the legos that bought the kits because they looked cool, and anything I tried to build on my own was terrible.

His house was formerly squatting, as of about ten minutes before you built there. Had you built it then it would have been merely you aggravating the issue, and you yourself squatting (which I think was your point). However, in that Mondo80 permitting his house (which I may point out was no longer in use and due to be taken down before Mondo got involved) you became the sole squatter and thus you were the one in the wrong. Rash actions lead to such consequences. =/
Just to clarify, in case Bloodhorror's statement is void due to him being banned. I'm taking control of his house, maze and all of its contents. Darkinnit's banning over this may have been justified, but I'll leave the rest of my opinions over this dormant unless there's a need for them to resurface (*knock on wood). As a whole, its a game, quit acting like tools and get on with each other.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Darkinnit it would seem that the spawn sheep farm has become somewhat depopulated. Any chance of spawning some more cheep in the empty pens, as the alternative's a little time consuming?

Yarp, when banned, said banned person no longer has a say on what happens on the server. Any owned land becomes unclaimed and whoever gets there first in-game gets to claim it.

Sure, I'll spawn some very cheep, only 3 emeralds.
