Try breaking it and placing it down again, maybe one block over, or in a slightly different position. Also make sure there is enough floor around the bed and enough open space for you to respawn there. (Some common PVP tactics are to cover up a player's bed so they can't respawn there - if your bed has too much clutter around it, there may be no room for you to spawn).

Finally, make sure to sleep in it at least once. Your respawn point is not changed until you sleep in it.

Diamond is kind of rare, I've found maybe 5 pieces or so in a cave at my old house, but I'm sure that is just crawling with freaking mobs now .

Also, _Tim? and I were experiencing something rather odd over in Kiip. Endermen were spawning in our houses... They'd eventually despawn, but it was rather unnerving the first time it happened.

Also the wooden roof on my side tower partially burned away due to my attempts at making a fireplace . Oh well, I now have a fireplace in my first floor, away from all the wood .

Two questions:
1) If I made a Nether Portal, would it be too close to the one in _Tim?'s house and the main on the outskirts of Kiip to be effective?
2) After the Tower of Alf is complete, I intend to "raise" it off the ground (by mining all the ground out around it ). Is there an easy way to do this without having to hunt down loads of gunpowder/mine it all out? As it stands I'm going to be mining it out. I've already reached a few spots in my mine system below it that reach the outside, I just wanted to know if there was an easier way

Let me guess - it was raining outside? They may teleport inside your house, then. Endermen don't really like getting wet.

1) Yep. All the portals in our area are all linked up to teleport to the portal you arrived through.
2) Mining or TNT are practically the only ways. Or you let Normy98 or his brother live there for a while. The creepers will coem round and change your surrounding area into one big crater

1) Thought so, I might build the makings of a portal and hang a sign that says, "In Case of Emergency, Use Flint n' Steel"
2) I'll probably mine it, since I don't have an easy way of getting gunpowder, but before that I have nether brick to make!

I thought I heard some things when I moved in, I'll most likely go "cheap" on my mining and just take a few melons, and stone pick axes. With my "hopefully" working indoor tree farm, wood shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Is there a way to pick up the spawners?

Sadly, nope.
Just leave them be there, though. There's still mossy cobble for you to mine, too!

Also, I will probably be slowly changing the material I used to construct the tower over time. I replaced the 'faceplate' of my front door with Nether Brick. I'd totally go obsidian if I had any way to mine it

Upload the picture to a site like Tiny Pic then stick the image's url in a post within some image tags. =P
