I'd suggest working more on the top right building, finishing that would add to its feel of being completed.

Whoa. Suddenly more stuff. Cool.

I think maybe you should look at doing something with the walls- either more mini-towers, a couple guard towers, or figure out some sort of crennelation system you can use.

Aside from that, just keep expanding the walls more and more, I think. Spread, East Dakka, Claim the Land!

That's a good idea.

People oftentimes neglect the basics-- walls and roads and bridges-- for the flashy castles and gak.

Col_Radec/shroud010 been on lately? The map's now showing player spawns (it was bugged out last time I checked), and that'll be the feller whom I say my idiom, "get off me land (ooh arr)", or well at least ask the neighbours before you start building. Eugh... I really should buy a new computer so I can play on the server again. I miss saying "Hola" and "Meh" repeatedly. =)

I will do all those things. The barracks is the current thing I am planning out. I am trying to figure out how to build it. It is suppose to be a very complicated building.

Combining alot of the current buildings styles I have used. I plan on adding snow to my builds because Quartz is so expensive to make.

I was planning on expanding the wall and making a city/village.

I plan on building many things including a museum, and continuing the vault.

I managed to pop in on the server there. Damn, I haven't done that since 1.7.4, whenever that was. I cool seeing how much things have changed, and what people have built since then. Suburbia hasn't been blown up again, which is always nice. I made it through Janje's maze, which despite seeing it being built, still took me forever. I hadn't noticed that the exit hadn't been ported over from the old server unfortunately, so I had to dig out right by the reward cookie chest. Still, good to see that hasn't been griefed either (was his house ported over too? I can't remember if I requested that as well).

Oh, and Darkinnit, what's the redstone contraption in your Suburbia home? Its like six repeaters and a load of dust that seems to just move a single piston. You're a fiendish one sir for creating such a quandary.

Alrighty I am working alot of projects currently.

Current project: The Azarian Citadel Rebuild and Expansion
Spoiler:

And this gem I found underground.

Other Project: The Vault

???????

Project: Reterrain

Project: Wither and Ender

Alrighty I can donate some stuff to the cause to kill the ender dragon
I have around 8 stacks of arrows and I am currently working on getting 3 full suits of diamond armor.

If people want me to supply them with the diamond armor I need 40 emeralds for a full suit of Diamond Armor :/ Its really not cheap to get the materials required to get the diamond gear together. As I will also enchant the armor. But I am waiting for 1.8 so I can enchant it more effectively and not have to work at it for a very long time.

I also have a bunch of potions to donate.

Including
12 Splash potions of healing 2
12 Splash potions of speed
3 Regeneration Potions
6 Potions of Healing 2
6 Potions of Speed 2

And myself. With a power 5 infinity 1 unbreaking 2 bow. Hopefully that will do enough damage.

Started building a pyramid a few weeks ago because every desert needs a pyramid.

Finally completed the outer cobblestone frame and have nearly completed the nether brick top layer.

You were linking to a webpage containing an image, not the image itself. I didn't see the option to right click and chose "open image in new tab" (in which case you just copy and paste in the url of the image's tab), so I downloaded the image and uploaded to an image hosting site then pasted in the url. I could've also pressed F12 then navigated to the image before opening that in a new tab, but doing it that way would've made the link eventually return an error (and in most cases be obtuse as hell).

Uh, anyway, its a giant fething bird! ...Or is it a Valkyrie? Ok its derfinately not a bird with a command module in its head. Or is it? Heh, good work on that one there mate. We've already a thunderhawk, storm-bird-flying landraider-thing, so it would seem that the Dakka Minecraft Server's fleet may be seeing a new member (don't worry, there's always plenty of pilots. Vanilla minecraft doesn't offer parachutes, but luckily even in a crash all those blocky edges make sure the actual aircraft's perfectly intact).

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

So for some reason when I built a portal at my base it connected to Coolyo's portal in the nether and won't go back to my base in the overworld. I find this confusing because I'm a good distance away from Coolyos base.

Nether portal mechanics are a bit odd at the best of times. Your best bet will still be to find the coords of your overworld portal and make a matching portal at the x/8 coords in the Nether (that is, divide the X and Z coords by 8 to get the equivalent Nether coords).

Some people actually will use the wonky portal connection system to make extremely rapid transportation networks- they only work one-way, of course.

Yeah the barracks is sorta complete. It looks interesting. Might add some towers to it. Because right now it look like a church more than a barracks.

Any suggestions anyone to improve it? Should I use diorite or granite when it comes out to make it pop and more dynamic!

I might need to make it more interesting it looks too plain. Add some jettisoning towers to it.

Also, if anyone wants and has the resources, if they would like to help me repopulate villagers here:

That'd be so, so helpful to me.

i like your material choices but i think it suffers from the same problem my city has, its just too flat. I watch Sjin's Let's Build for ideas on how to make interesting things and i have really picked up on his use of 2 block thick walls so you can dig into the outer layer to add depth which REALLY helps to improve the visuals beyond using different materials.

http://www.darkinnit.com/newdakkamap/#/-2527/64/-1468/max/0/0

you can see my old walls vs the portion i re-did. I still used the same style blocks but digging in one block into the outer wall really turned my booring wall into something thats pretty cool.

Also, you should think about horizontals. Something as simple as pushing any crenelations you have out by one block (and it stops spiders!) can make a wall look a lot better.

For example- just a simple row of cobblestone wall about halfway or 3/4 of the way up on your barracks, or even a single row of Netherbrick replacing your stone brick, would add a lot of interest to that section. Heck, even a single strip of basic smoothstone.

It's been months since I've been on, and a few too many beers, but I forgot how to post a link to the map. Anyone claiming X-2471, Z-3? I need a new home, and there is an unmarked manor to the southeast that is around.

Tikkamasala here: I am okay with you building at -2471,-3. I have seen the start and partial deconstruction of a small farm with tilled soil in that valley but cannot remember who started and then apparently relocated from there.
