Thats why I was quite happy when I saw My area has always been visible. As I begin to build the hall of heroes and start expanding the city limits.

ideas for all of us. We could build this quite easily.

Make a proper north exit where the 'cobblestone door' is.
Put some signs up for where your portal is if you have one that is. I couldn't find it, I took a boat from Anvildudes.
Move your farms and animal paddocks outside, you're place feels so cramped.
Release all your prisoners and let them roam free. I joke. There are only 2 kinds of village. Caged or dead. (now someone will tell me they have a free village)
Put in more ramps/ladders to gain some altitude so I can see where I'm standing. Wide open places don't need this but all your trees and walls so close together obstruct vision.
Make a big portrait off map (or on map, whichever) then put it on a map item to use as a banner for your cult. Actually if you have a design, maybe I'll do it for you.
Make a destroyed chapel to one of the other players gods near your own temple.

Got enough materials? I can knock down a mountain for you. I find progress is extremely fast when you have all the material you need, almost creative mode speed. As I saw when assisting Grey Templar or building East Tunnel. If you allow me to use the 3 pools of lava in the desert I can make stone bricks or glass as well.

Yeah. I need to do that :

Thanks for the tips the trees and farms and the wool farm I need to move outside. The pigs in my house I plan on moving and building another farm. And get rid of the one previously. I originally made it cramped because of the little amount of space I had to work with before.

Well if it's just sand/sandstone/glass I'll do it for free. If it's cobblestone/brick then I'll dig at diamond level, mine any valuables with a fortune 3 pick, let you take as much as you want out of your lands spoils and leave me the rest or nothing, whichever. Just point me to a mountain to clear for sand or a spot for me to dig straight down for stone.

Really I just like helping people mine common blocks to get big projects done.

Hmm, I wonder if Grey Templar ran out of sand...

I'll point you a mountain

I'd like sandstone, sand, and cobblestone. If you insist on not just taking all the valuebles, some iron and/or diamonds would be appreciated, along with emeralds (I have live villagers, after all).

Take 2/3rd of all diamonds, 1/2 of all emeralds, 1/3 of all iron half of all the gold should you do so, and keep everything else (redstone and lapis, phah )!

That mountain, and the one to the right of it, would be my choice too. If possible, please make sure any surviving NPC's don't attempt to escape or get killed

A bed can be found here, along with a tree farm as you might see Food can be taken from Fort Kiip's farms, a bit to the south. Your hard shall not be forgotten, and the temple shall include a shrine to the glorious Saint Lotet. Huzzah, huzzah!

If you want, Lotet, go ahead and mine for cobble and dirt inside the Grey Mesa's basement. You should be able to figure out where, I imagine. Just don't bust the pillars.

Then you'd both be getting resources for others, and helping clear area for me!

I'm just on the FtB a lot right now. Once I get my temple set up there, I'll probably be back to the vanilla server again.

Yeah we should make an exchange at the dakka hub, and have like expensive buildings to show off our building capabilities as a server.

How about here? http://www.darkinnit.com/newdakkamap/#/-141/64/209/-1/0/0
It'd probably be big enough, is right near spawn so no hazards to reach it and isn't going to get in the way of anything else. Once my fort towers are finished I'd like to take a break from building the rest of it, so would be happy to join in a project for an exchange building at spawn, but don't want to steal the project from anyone else if they have grand plans. At the very least I can help contribute resources towards it

More like a community project. To make spawn look pretty.

Also I am currently making my hall of heroes have a hawk aviary or something.

I am running low on resources. But I do have a ton of dark oak saplings and wood.

I can provide a little.

What I mean is I haven't gone on an expedition for a while and currently working on a project.

Having just finished Bioshock Infinite and the Burial at Sea DLC, I kinda want to build Rapture and Columbia.

I'm also fantasising about building wargaming boards for Rapture and Columbia to play In Her Majesty's Name.

I think we should build a PVP combat Arena there, not a hub for 'showrooms'. (A few weeks ago we were mooting the idea of a community arena).

Sounds like what you have in mind is something similar to Suburbia. A compact neighbourhood of complex and well decorated buildings?

Also, I'd like to bring this up again. I abandoned my original settlement, Jericho. There are a large number of vegetable animal and tree farms, a partially built village, a huge store room, nether portal link to the Nether Hub (with a rail link from Jericho to the portal, and a rail link inside the Nether from Jericho to the Cadian Gate), stables, sleeping quarters, a large partially built decorative pyramid, huge underground branch mines, a huge network of well lit but mined out caves caverns and chasms...

Seeing as I'm not using it anymore, I'm more than happy for anyone to settle in Jericho and make it their own, or it could be used as a Community settlement for anyone to use...New players etc.

Edit: Theres a large dense forest over the river to the West of spawn. That might be a better place for the arena - especially if its done in a crude wooden style, it would blend right in to the forest and have a nice theme.

I was thinking along the lines of a trading hub. Like the mindcrack server has.

I mean sururbia is just meant for houses of individuals not as a server do we build something together.

Exchange for what? I'd rather do it for free. I end up benefiting every time. Even if it's just swiping the dirt I dug up for Anvildude ages ago, which I use to fill in caves beneath my area. No one asks for help from anyone anyway. Well, except for the below example.

Only problem is that it requires a lot of transportation. Plus last time I was in your basement I was attacked by a Zombie, it aint safe. Then again, a Creeper blew up thenoobbomb's tent outside the temple when I was using a chest so it aint safe there either.

But yeah I did consider using your place as a quarry.

Speaking of which I was also attacked by a Creeper at Storm Lord's castle (did not explode). He should recheck the light values of the place. Was it built back when light was listed at head height? Because now light level is listed at foot height and it says he has gaps along the interior walls.

I checked it out a while ago, what a mess. Looks like the Villagers escaped and someone tried to pin them all down by boxing them all in with dirt. They can't move. I was also jumped by a spider inside. It's saddening how much it has fallen into disrepair.
 thenoobbomb wrote:

Well I didn't fully tear down the mountain. I got a large chest of Sand, 2 large chests of Sandstone and 2 large chests of Cobblestone, plus the mined loot, which I've already taken my share from. I don't know if it's enough so if you need more (or you really want me to finish off that mountain) just tell me.

I should probably mention that I was worried about the village getting in trouble so I built an Iron Golem for them. The village chest has materials for a second Golem if you want it. I hope there's no potential downside to this.

Unrelated, I feel lucky having a village where the Villagers DON'T all decide to cram into one building. How come every village I visit (except the desolate ones), all the villagers only use one house?

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I'll look into why that happened as I haven't had any issues with creepers inside the base recently. Was it a specific wall that had the problems?

The Creeper was on the ground floor coming out of the walls of of the main building interior. I believe that the torches are stretched just enough to give 1 Block at light level 7 against the wall. Though I didn't check every spot.
