Finished the Mass Effect 3 DLC and it was sorta poignant at the end. It was nice to have a final farewell to all the characters and I think BioWare did a good job with it.

Yes, it's like the ending fans demanded.

I think it was a fitting farewell to the Mass Effect series, and some of the jokes and the conversations with the characters were hilarious (EDI & Specialist Traynor springs to mind )

I really need to get back onto the ME wagon, though it requires playing through ME1 and 2 twice more. Im a sucker for character continuality

Saying that I just completed Batman Arkham City, really good game. Ending was unexpected but satisfying(in a way).Just hope that the Batman: Origins in development doesn't screw up. Just about to go play Harlys Revenge.

Along side that I'v been playing the ever so enjoyable Guild Wars 2, finally got my first character to level 80 Time to get the second one to 80

When the rich rage war it's the poor who die

Armies I have: Chaos Space Marines, Tau, Necrons, High Elves

Armies I want:Lizardmen, Warriors Of Chaos, Dark Eldar

Armies I may get: Dark Angels, Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts

Re-installed Just Cause 2 for some silly mayhem, I realized I never actually played much of it.

Also played through most of Quantum Conundrum over the weekend. Glad I tried it, it's a fun take on the Portal formula.

I personally Love Skyward. I understand some of the flak it catches, looking at you Fi, but overall I loved it to death, even Fi. Except when she told me what I already knew... for the 1 millionth time...

Been re-playing Oblivion. It's still a really good game, actually. And the quest to Break the Siege of Kvatch, plus closing the Oblivion Gate, is in my opinion more fun than any Civil War quest in Skyrim.

I played Oblivion on the 360 but I just couldn't warm to it. By the time I'd done all the side quests I'd forgotten what the actual plot was and my part in it

I was the same when I played it first a few years ago! I totally ignored the main story and just played the Shivering Isles questline. Now, I'm actually going to finish the main quest. It's more interesting to me now, and to be honest I think that it's a bit of a better story than the return of the Dragons. I still really want to play Morrowind (but with graphic packs).

It seems to be a recurring theme in Western RPGs and sandbox games, have side quests that barely relate to the main storyline

And I completely love it that way. Red Dead Redemption has some of the best side quests of any game I've played.

Some games benefit from it (saints Row 2), but for some RPG games it can break the immersion. Its hard to reconcile being given the urgent task of saving the world from imminent destruction with fetch quests and pick pocketing

Oh, I completely agree. As much as I love Skyrim, I've put around 230 hours into it, and I haven't even started the civil war quest line .

I just wish that some games (FO3) would allow you to continue playing after beating the main story quest line, in order to not break that immersion... I mean, it's entirely possible to beat skyrim without doing any side quests, but really what fun is that?

That's kinda why I feel Morrowind was the better game, and in a way, Skyrim as well. They have big "Save the World!" questlines, but they're not Time Critical quests. It's boiling political turmoil, ancient beings reawoken and starting to cause trouble, plagues slowly spreading across the world...

You might want to try out Morroblivion- it's a community effort to essentially flesh out the entirety of Morrowind (game and province) within the Oblivion engine, so you can essentially play Morrowind with Oblivion (or better, really) level graphics and combat systems. Though you then lose out on a lot of the neater aspects of enchantment and equipment... If you want the 'true' Morrowind experience, though, there's definitely plenty of graphics and animation replacer packs out there- I'd suggest "Better Bodies" as one, and look at some of the HD graphics mods as well.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

If you have Broken Steel installed you can keep playing FO3 after you finish the main storyline. Of course, that's something that should be on the game by default.

Thanks for that!

I've just started Morrowind again. I must say, the opening cutscene is pure class. It's extremely well done. And the graphics aren't quite as shocking as I remembered.

Yes, Broken Steel is pretty much mandatory for FO3 owners.

Coinicidently I'm reinstalling Fallout 3 right now. Which is probably not the best idea seeing as I have exams coming up, and I only see myself adding to the 1000+ hours that I put into that game a few years ago. I could just install New Vegas and use the Requiem for the Capital Wasteland mod to play F3, but I'd rather go back and play the game like it was when I first played it. =)

...Hmn, I'm doubting that this laptop can run that game very well with texture packs install though. My gaming rig melted a few monthes ago. =(
