Just as a fun note, I thought I'd share that I got my two SpecOps today!
The Chandra's weapon options do not actually match those advertised. There is no Multirifle, instead it is a Spitfire.
The "Intel" Operative for Ariadna. Love it!
I'm actually...kinda disappointed with the Chandra Operative. You cannot reasonably cut off her Combirifle to replace it with anything from the weapon sprue, as it is the "bullpup" styled gun with its clip/stock fused to her arm.

I do not think we will see one per Sectorial, excluding the Combined Army because of the fact that Shasvastii and Morat just do not look visually similar.
The other SpecOps can fit in quite well--visually--with the other parts of the faction.

The Corax made me think about this Ben kenobi figure.
It made think about the Corax Spec Op as some kind of troop that the main army leaves alone for months, with license to think by herself and make her own decissions. Survival, infiltration, sabotage, hide & seek tactics... that kind of troop.

I like the multiple weapon options but I'm a bit disappointed that it looks as if it will be challenging indeed to get them to look "right" on the various Spec Ops!

And while it would have been awesome to have an incredible multi-kit for Spec Ops, I like all of them so I'm satisfied =) (Maybe Morat one less than the others)
I don't think I want to pay 30$ for a single multi-kit model. A la Games-Workshop.
Oh wait, I do =P
Go go CB !

Verdun or 1/35 scale Tamyia gear would look great on these guys as extra kit hanging off of the figures. You could use the options to set up Spec Ops squads and individualize them.
Do they have several different weapons fused to the arms options? I see the extra weaponry, are those supposed to go on the figures backs, or put to the model with options?
I can see Greenstuff being a great thing to use here as well. You can get some files, and the greenstuff and come up with some great optionals for the teams.
How much does a Spec ops team in there have? 5 or 12?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Infinity is a bit fast and loose about the "WYSIWYG" on some models, simply because some models do not have all the options available to them and there was no real easily accessible way to get weapon options for conversions. Add to it that in many cases, such as the SpecOps models I posted--the weapons are fused to the arm in such a way that extensive green stuff work will be required to do conversions.

With SpecOps, you have to realize they will not be a "team" in the way that most units would be. They're going to be an optional character, for all intents and purposes, used during the campaign playsets.
But they are done in such a way that they can easily be used as various unit types within the factions proper.

Easily she has the modifications so she can be a nice stand in for Speculo, I am eagerly waiting for the extra to see her conversion possibilities, but I expect some really good conversions to show up quite soon.
My though too, as I don't think we will get a new Speculo model any time soon as there only 1 loadout. Big plus if the Corax can use XP to get the Speculo abilities.
If you want to proxy a second Speculo, a Twi'lek fig from the Star Wars Minis line would probably do pretty well. Easy to find on eBay, too.
Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Mixed feelings on this. On the one hand, it looks like Corvus Belli have finally gotten sick of telling person after person that there is no demand for weapon sprues. On the other, half-assedly tossing in a non-comprehensive sprue and forcing anyone who wants to update the appearance of their Spec Ops as their campaign progresses to mutilate their figure instead of sculpting additional weapon-arms - or, heck, just including spare unequipped arms - is...not cool.

It was never a question of "There is no demand".
It was a question of SKUs. The Infinity line is already bloated enough with dozens of SKUs that weapon sprues, while fantastic, would also pose an issue in adding to that bloat.

While normally I love a good facepalm/complaint session, we still don't know the "comprehensiveness" of the SpecOps.
It's also important to remember that the model is not necessary for representing the unit on the table. You can use whatever you like, per their own statements.
I've been very critical of the Chandra. I won't deny that. But from what I'm seeing of the other SpecOps, the Chandra is one of the few which really gets the shaft in terms of how customizable it is. But that's something which is on all the ALEPH models, because of the design of rifle they used. The bullpup design with no lengthened stock means that there's a smaller rifle but inevitably part of the sculpt mates up with the actual body itself.
I can already tell you though that I have a plan for the ALEPH parts, and it does not involve customizing the Chandra. She's going to be used as a Deva or Asura, not a SpecOps. The weapons themselves though?
They'll be great for making some custom Posthumans using Myrmidon kits!
Or hell, they can be used for scenery bits with a scratchbuilt Halo-style "Weapon Drop Pod".

I know!
It's weird. And strange.
But the models look so bloody sweet...
Oh yeah, I emailed CB asking when we should be getting a Corregidor starter set, if Wildcats would be included, etc and the reply I got was that Wildcats should be coming "really soon".

Considering they are in Campaign: Paradiso, I'd say "soon".
From what others who have talked with CB at events like GenCon have said, the Wildcats are going to be a new Light Infantry type and part of the Corregidor Starter Box replacing Alguaciles, who purportedly are going to be redone at some point and released in a box format like the Shaolin Monks.
