Is this legit? If Bala Perdida (the guy who started the WGN movement) gets one, I'll love CB forever. More, I mean. The mini itself isn't really important, but we have a lot of fun with this

Qapu Khalqi is having a good time lately, it seems. I really like this model; the pose is what I love from Infinity models, the way that the guys are doing things other than pointing-gun or crouching-pointing-gun. Also, his rocket launcher is cool. And that matters to me.

I'm actually disappointed that Qapu Khalqi seems the sectorial to go when playing Haqqislam. They seem to have all the cool toys, bar Fiday.

Quite frankly, I'll lose respect for them if they do it.

There's no Chasseur Sniper, no Chasseur with Rifle model in a blister pack format, and dozens more profiles in Ariadna alone that need to be done.
They're already behind when it comes to release schedules beyond Spain proper, distribution is already a bit wacky, and they're letting a sculptor work on a joke project?

Why would that be disappointing, actually?

I mean, yeah, I rather like Qapu Khalqi, but, the assassin sectorial is plenty nice enough too, as is 'generic' Haqqislam!

That's actually a good question. Qapu Khalqi is neat, I think.

I can get Alkasyn's frustration though. Qapu Khalqi is pretty fleshed out for what they have especially considering that they can also add in Kaplan Tactical Services, Druze Shock Teams, and now Scarface and Cordelia.

But why is it a joke? I agree with you on the matter of needed minis, but the Wulver is also missing profiles. The only thing asked is at least one of the models to be a female. It's not a big deal.

Anyway, guys you have to check this. I've posted videos of this guy before, he builds custom scenery. His latest project is a modular spaceship interior for Infinity. It's unbeliable. Too bad, it's only in Spanish, but just look at the pieces... wow

The Wulver are missing one profile. A "Heavy Shotgun, Grenades" profile.

Corvus Belli is pretty good about representation of genders when it is able to be done. Now, having those different gendered models portrayed similarly is a different story entirely...

The Heavy Shotgun Wulver likely would have been a female anyways. It's an unnecessary movement, clamoring for something which they did not really have to clamor for.

Admittedly, calling it "silly" is probably a bit much but it's one of those things which get under my skin especially after my own experiences on the Infinity forum where several people with the whole "Wulver Giiiiiiiiiiiiirls" sigs made a point of consistently acting like tools in a thread where I had posted regarding my own opinions about the whole "Cheesecake" issue.

Much like you clamoring for Chasseur models that will be eventually released. The only difference here is that you want one thing and other people want something else.

There is a HUGE difference.

You know why?
The basic Chasseur model exists.

He is used for 3 of the 5 Chasseur profiles. Yet you cannot buy him outside of the Ariadna starter box, which as I've said before is absolutely useless to someone wanting to do a Merovingian force.

The "Wulver girls" clamor is for one specific profile to be made one specific gender. All I bloody want is a model released in a format which is actually bloody sensible rather than forcing me to buy an entire starter box for one model or having to resort to buying one off someone else.

Oh, and just for fun?
It was apparently more important for a "Chasseur female" which can be used for exactly one Chasseur profile to be released than one which could be used for 3.

Edit note:
I can say with 100% certainty that the lack of a "standard" Chasseur model is actively keeping me from starting Merovingia. The only thing, at this point, which would get me doing so would be a Briscards box set with Marksman Rifles as standard.

But buying boxes and getting redundant models isn't a problem at all. You can just buy it off Shae.

Which does what?

That's completely irrelevant. I should be able to go to my local shop and buy that model as a blister, not order from someone in the UK.

Aren't CB kinda phasing out the blisters and going for multi-model boxes instead?

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

I'd say they only do it with units with high AVA and most usually, linkable.

Yes, but as Erasoketa said:

Models with high AVA and Link are the most likely to be given the boxed set treatment. It's also worth noting that the number of different profiles(not counting things like "Rifle, Grenades" and then "Rifle, Grenades [Forward Observer]") the unit has is a factor.

Bou, who is a pretty reliable source and is known to be very chummy with the folks at CB just posted this:

Swear to God, if they let a sculptor do two different female Wulver models rather than just boxing two T2 Rifles and two Heavy Shotgun Wulvers--I am going to be quite annoyed.

I was just repeating what was said to me earlier when I was griping about them moving to boxes (to be fair, it wasn't raised by you). I was tyrying to do it sarcastically, the reason for the smiley.

However, I agree with you completely, which is why I dislike the move to more boxes. There's models in starters I want (the Naffatun, for example) that I'll never get since I have everything I want from those or its mostly stuff I don't want. The fact that they're moving to boxes means it's even less likely to get those outside of the starters now.

short of, they seem to go for a box with many options and a blister to augment these options.

a nice way to minimize the SKUs.

If that's true, then I guess they will sculpt one male and one female bodies, like the other boxes of 4 minis. I think a wulver box is an odd choice, they already have 2 models and their highest AVA is 4. But if the models are good, I'll welcome them, Wulvers are a great unit.

I think they said that all the models from the starters would be available individually. I might be wrong though, I don't remember it very well.

Exactly!

Nothing about a Wulver box makes sense. They have 3 profiles and AVA 4.

A Caledonian Volunteer Corps box? That makes sense.
A Highlander Grey Rifles? Makes sense.
Hell, a SAS box makes sense compared to a Wulver box.

Nope. They've indicated they have no intention to move the "exclusive" models from the starter boxes until they actually get resculpted or the boxes get redone.

More information from Bou:
Apparently, they're going to discontinue a two year old Wulver model, the Mk. 12 ("jumpy") and have a new one made.

So. STUPID.

The ones on the left are this month's, and the ones on the right are able to be released within the next few months.

To be fair, the jumping Wulver is pretty stupid itself, I won't miss him.

Bou is from Madrid, and there was a tournament there yesterday, where at least one of the CB guys assisted. I bet the info comes from there.

If the model "being stupid" necessitates a redo, then I've got a long freaking list I'll be writing up.

To be fair, they also went the opposite route with the catgirl Daktari eventually being remade into a sensible Daktari in spite of the tendency for players to almost never use more than one.

Additionally, nothing about that whiteboard marking states that it's a Wulver boxed set. It could just be a furry-fanservice model that is one of the missing profiles.
Additionally, both Briscards and Wulvers are Ariadna models. It's unlikely they're from the same boxed set (Caledonian Wulvers vs. Merovingian Briscards), so they're likely different months. Back-to-back, Ariadna may not get two boxed sets, so between Briscards and Wulvers, the Briscards would be more likely to get a box.

Hey hey! The Daktari has an alternative model already!

Which is only in a boxed set.

The fact that they can justify discontinuing a two year old model but not one from the original line-up boggles my brain.

There's one missing Wulver profile.

And Bou, who was present and took the photo, said that it was flatout stated it is a boxed set.

Is it a boxed set of all Wulvers then?
Maybe there's some boxed set of Wulvers, Briscards, and something else irrelevant (Kazaks and a Raicho or something)?

Bear in mind that list was not just for one month, but multiple months.

It was available individually for a limited time. I know it's not enough for the people who became interested in Nomads after the time lapse, but it's something.

The reason must be related to sales. The old Daktari is a top seller according to CB. Maybe the jumping Wulver was a fail also sales-wise.

The Daktari was a top seller.

Now that we actually have a "sale tracker" on their webstore, I have yet to see the old Daktari be on there.
