I was going to post "CB makes those ugly bases so people have to buy MAS bases"
But then, I realised that casting those metal base extensions is actually pretty expensive...
So I guess that they are simply stupid instead of greedy+smart corporative witches.
I still don't know wich one is worse.

But the MAS bases don't have built-in extensions either. If anything, the base extensions' lack of texture convinces people to NOT buy MAS bases.

I actually think they are ingenious! I'm not wild about putting them together or making them go with my resin bases, but I love that CB is willing to make a compromise between artistic vision and playability.
If the sculptor has a pose in mind and it doesn't take a scenic 10x10cm base to realize it, I say go for it.
If you don't like that, just convert it!
There are so many miniatures in the range, that are actually not fair/ideal from a gaming pov. I mean seriously ML Noctifer? Alien bait on a stick!
So if you can't take it easy I recommend glueing all your miniatures onto plain bases in a crouching or prone position. After all the sand adds around a millimeter of hight and standing up straight is a huge disadvantage compared to those squating Dasyus and Zeros.

I guess the option is there for converting, or subbing in a different model. Especially if you are really into playing the game, I mean I read a comment once about someone who was considering cutting one of the TAG's limbs up into segments, then removing a few mm from each limb to reduce its LOS footprint!
But I think for people who value the artistic/sculpting side of things above strictly value in a game I guess most people would hope they keep doing what they are doing - let the sculptor get stuck into it, go with whatever vision they have for a miniature, and worry about the other stuff afterwards!

Wow, that guy must be fun to play against... omg what a dill weed!
Edit: Dill weed? So that's what "dighat" turns into...

If only Beasts of War would hurry the heck up and do their preview, so we can get better quality photos from Angel.
UPDATE:
Angel believes that Beasts of War will do their "On the Table" preview tomorrow, so he'll have his step by step and photos ready as soon as that is up.

I think if the Raicho is out, I'll replace Alpharius and long and pine for the Tikbalang.
Seriously though, I'm a fan of our local myth and folklore. Seeing it in use of a game I like is absolutely amazing for me.
(This is also the reason why I think every Filipino Infinity player w/ CA has/have/will have an Aswang and a Maligno, and every PanO player will get a Tikbalang. It's a requirement.)

The most important think the interview has is that the design process is, what the faction needs or would benefit to have > Stats and Play test > Background > Concept Art > Model been made.
And this is how you make intriguing lists with internal and external balance.
