Many of the aliens have human names because what is known about them is from human PoV as well as being unpronounceable. Some don't even use sound as a way to communicate.

I think he means the writing on the gun CDK... Otherwise though, i agree with both you and PS, its all from the human perspective in terms of naming, and Japanese style symbols are used because they look alien to a Westerner.

The arms are a totally different thing though, i have no idea why a CA TAG would have the same baby arms as a human TAG....

Edited for clarity

Why does it have to be an amputee? Maybe he is laying down and his legs are in the ass of the TAG.

It doesn't look like it would be too difficult to leave the pilot's arms off and do some minor conversion work to cover up that area - if the arms really bother anyone.

The section where the hip joints should be? Don't think so.

I like the idea of the pilot being cocooned like this, it's just the execution that's lacking. O-Yoroi all over again. Easy to fix though.

There is no Japanese on the gun. Two of the characters vaguely resemble hiragana 'u', there is a character that looks fairly close to a 'ro', and there is a character that looks somewhat like an incomplete 'ta', but all of them would get red marks from any J101 teacher for being written incorrectly. It's not Japanese on the gun, I suspect you're just registering it as Japanese because it looks vaguely alien to you.

*shrug* i mentioned the gun as it was the only writing i could remember seeing on the model, im not really bothered either way as to what language is used to represent made up alien writing....

Further confirmation for January, and something we know that Kanluwen has been clamoring for almost as long as Alpharius's Raicho:

Not really.

A vocal minority on the Spanish forums do, and like the majority of the "Bring back Squats!" people--you'll never meet one in person who'll own up to it.

Actually not so small a bit international, quite vocal for sure and with heavy supporters between then, Angel for example been one and Bostria iirc been another.

I'm really tired of furries showing up in every danged sci-fi universe. They even put them in 40k with the last update!

I know they were there before I got into infinity but I was hoping their influence on Ariadna stayed rather small, but the "specials" get what they want I guess. Here's hoping the rules for them stink so they don't start showing en masse in my local meta.

It can be "a bit international" and still have its roots on the Spanish forum, PS.

Look in "Human Sphere". They already exist, Wulver Grenadiers.

Well you know the rules for them they are wulvers nothing more nothing less, beyond both sexes been present now.

Of course, I just say they got support form the international forum too, so its not just a small minority in the Spanish forum, its a minority in both forums!

Ariadna isn't all about furries though. The Wulvers are Caledonian where dogfaces are common.
Merovingians, on the other hand, shoot dogs and have an entire group (Loup-Garous - "Werewolves") dedicated to hunting and killing them. The Kazaks enslave the antipodes.

The sexually deviant Nomads are the ones that genetically mess with themselves in order to make themselves furries, and even then that's just Bakunin.

One of my favorite things about the factions is that unlike many other universes, there is great variety in the ideology and methodology within the factions themselves... without outright descending into a civil war.

Ultimately, though, count me as one of the furry-haters.

...to Kanluwen.

I'm guessing that when they look at their Sales figures, they see spikes for female figures.

Maybe this is because a lot of their sales go to painters who aren't gamers? Or for some other reason... male wargamers like female models?

Anyway, I'm sure that it makes sense for CB from a sales perspective too, so, there is that!

What's more, the Wulvers aren't even really "furries" when you boil it down. They are soldiers. I actually LIKED the way they did the two existing Wulver Grenadiers.

If that were the case, then we'd be seeing the female figure by itself.

We are not. It is going to be part of the Wulver BOX SET.

That is an entire boxed set slot for January gone for a "resculpt"(the Wulver Grenadier with Mk. IV) and a new sculpt (female Wulver). Presumably, the Shotgun variant will be in the box as it is the only missing Wulver profile.

Huh. I was under the impression that this was going to be a box full of Werewolf Women of the S.S. and not just alternative models for wulvers. I play Ariadna with no wulvers at all so while I was aware that Human Sphere had them it doesn't make me want to use them or look at them.

Also it makes people really mad for some reason when you chop off wulvers weapons and toss out the models from a sectorial starter. I find it quite entertaining how defensive furries get.

And what better way to 'force' people to buy a BOX SET, and then consider starting another faction?

So, no, I think your reasoning is still off, and CB knows exactly what they're doing by releasing this as a BOX SET!

The people who are clamoring for "Wulver Girls" are already heavily invested in the faction. They were going to buy the models anyways.

It's like if I were to sell you a Jotum with a different weapons loadout.

You'd be buying it anyways.

You're still missing the point, but that's OK.

Like I said, CB knows what they're doing - in fact, IF the models are good enough, I might start an Ariadna Caledonian faction!

Right now, I've only got a Merovingian faction.

They clearly have access to sales data, and are looking for ways to get people to buy more/expand.

I'm thinking they might know more than you do about their business, though I suppose there is an infinitesimal small chance that I'm wrong about that...

I doubt it would simply be because a set of models which you can only have 4 of (at best) is good.

At least, for most people.

Right now, I've only got a Merovingian faction.

You have one of practically everything.

I hate to break it to you, but the larger reason why it is a "box" rather than a blister is the continuation of their "Boxed Sets over Blisters" shift.

IIrc from the discussion we had so far its a box with 4 models all new, I presume two female and two male wulvers two bodies and enough arms to make 4 different models.

Yup, with all we know being that the Wulver's "Mk. 12" profile is going to be involved since they're discontinuing it.

After my disappointment from playing 40k as three non-Imperial, non-SpaceMarine factions, I've become accustomed to miniatures companies wasting their time on exorbitant amounts of what I perceive as fanservice - except this time it's burly, muscular men and one some furries.

I've just learned to accept it. Corvus Belli is at least great at it. Maybe next month they'll release Penthesilea and her Aleph motorcycle; it's a reasonable hope. I've been casually waiting through years of burly brodudemarine releases for a Farseer on a Jetbike.

Whenever Corvus Belli releases something that doesn't interest me, I shrug. More often than not, however, they entire me with a new release that makes me way to start a new faction.

Long story short, some people like furries and they uncoincidentally like buying furry models. Corvus Belli will make one one day.

This is more to the point and probably correct, were Kanluwen is upset about a lack of a certain box set that he really wants...

I would be nowhere near as annoyed were it not for the fact that we are getting a "Riot Grrls" box set this month and Wulvers the following month.

Penthesilea and her Alephocycle are NOT January releases. Phoenix is for ALEPH.
