I very much disagree.

You see the Corregidor Boxed Set as the big 'shiny' for you in a while, but other months have not held back their big set.

The Haqqislam Support Set with new sculpts was the big set last month and it was one of the first reveals (after Singh, a special character).
Penthesilea was pretty much universally-loved by many people and it was the first reveal of its month.
Kerrigan Ko Dali was the 'big shiny' reveal of March, and it was revealed after the Crusader Brethren.
The Raicho got its own super-reveal and was the first reveal of its month.

They're doing a good-as-usual job at spacing out their reveals.

Just be happy it's not the rumored Wulver Girls.

No and that helps people always having something in a months time instead of waiting months without anything.

There are many reason why previews are showcased as they are! you really compare the manpower of GW with CBs? or their release plans?

First of all CB makes sure each faction has something at least every other month, "themed month" releases were not well received when Infinity debuted and the community was in favor of a much more mixed releases schedule, which is understandable, who likes to wait 6 months for his faction to see something new? on that respect, CB is still a small company, and while they prepare way in advance for their releases, things can happen and last minute swaps do happen, CB prefers to not hipe the community for a particular model and then fail to deliver.

Now I do not know why you do not like CB supporting blogs, podcasts and forums that want to support them, but I am sure the community as a whole does appreciate it.

There's a difference between "each faction" having something new and "each sectorial" having something new.

Look at the Morat players.

And here you tap why faction months are bad and should be avoided.

Sectorials are an intriguing case because they are a faction release and they need bursts of models to be released for them to be playable, yes morat sectorial players now see less frequent releases, but the bulk of their force is playable.

Sectorials are not "an intriguing case". They're a very simple way for there to be "faction months".
You release an item for each Sectorial and/or the "vanilla" list.
Considering that each faction is guaranteed to get a Sectorial at some point; it's foolish to pretend that Sectorials are somehow going to ruin a shift towards "faction months". The only thing which would ruin them is Corvus Belli's seeming attitude of favoritism towards certain Sectorials and the lack of creativity that went into others.

They could try to release one model for each sectorial in each month, even the ones that haven't come yet. For example they could release a US, Russian, Scottish and French model in April, then a Neoterra, Antogiammo (thingy) and Military Orders in May.

That'd be a pretty good release schedule I reckon, you'd get a release every 8 months (not including mercs), which isn't too bad. One of those could be a box too. I dunno.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

From my point of view all sectorial troops are available in the "vanila" list and so are faction releases.

You have to understand that there is no huge GW sculptors studio behind CB to make huge amount of releases for a single faction possible and that spacing them is a better way to make them happen.

If you really want everything in your plate and nothing more after that single huge release, in faction months, ala GW style, I am afraid as you have understood this is not the way it will happen.

I do not understand your comment about favoritism for some sectorials and lack of creativity in others, you mean sectorials who have fewer units, fewer background? or you mean sectorials who have been finished baring a few entries and have infrequent releases?

Except as we both know there are some units which are essentially "signature" to the Sectorials, not the "vanilla" list such as the Mobile Brigada.

I'm quite aware of what Corvus Belli does and does not have, or at least what they claim to have or not have.

They had enough of a break(apparently) in their release schedule to let sculptors make TWO "limited edition" sculpts within the span of a year(Go-Go Marlene and Max Skorpio), but not enough to finally get a Chasseur model with rifle available outside of the Ariadna starter box?

It's quite puzzling as to how one can justify that but not sculptors working on a single faction.

If you really want everything in your plate and nothing more after that single huge release, in faction months, ala GW style, I am afraid as you have understood this is not the way it will happen.

I think you don't grasp exactly how a planned "faction month" would work.

They don't release everything all at once. They release a unit for each Sectorial, for each faction, in a specific month.
With there existing 8(9 if you count Mercenaries as their own faction, rather than the poorly planned mess that they are right at this moment) factions and 12 months--there's enough room for some workable time throughout the course of a year.
Especially given the fact that, from Corvus Belli's own admission, certain sculptors are responsible for certain ranges and certain Sectorials.

Assuming that the manufacturing base at Corvus Belli is up for it, and their sculptors can actually stick to deadlines--I don't see how there would really be any problem on anyone except Angel.

I will have to admit that your mentioning of GW and faction month led me to believe you were referring to the GW style of one complete(ish) faction one month.

Mobile brigada is not here because all coegidor stuff will begin to show up now, same story as with every other sectorial.

When you say complete unit, you mean release all models with all variants for a unit? in a month? for each faction? or just a model/ box for each faction per month? in any case, no, beyond Angel, the rest of CB would have a problem keeping up.

Yes, CB indeed has dedicated sculptors for factions and for certain things, but these are not dedicated exclusively to a faction, they sculpt for other factions too.

Is that Santiago knight using a combi rifle? I didn't think they could take them.

I'm pretty sure they can take boarding shotguns, spitfires and combi-rifles... I think!

Combi rifle is a new weapon loadout introduced with Paradiso book, thankfully because BS and SF are too few weapons for a link team.

Nope, just checked - spitfire, spitfire (Lt) and shotgun. New profile maybe?

Edit: Nevermind, wasn't in the army builder. I should really get the book...

Interesting, I relinked the pictures at my local forum - can the pilots actually get out of their TAGs? Or is this just for fun?

O-12 Podcast mentioned a concept art book being released this summer, maybe the miniatures will be part of the limited edition deal ?

Ms. O-yoroi pilot, you will pilot a Maghariba Guard now. Wish the mini will do the artwork justice so I can add her to my collection.

Yes, pilots can get out whenever they want, and also when the TAG is destroyed. When the TAG is being used, all the attacks and actions are solved with the TAG stats. Only when the pilot is out his stats are used. Also, pilots don't add an order to the order pool. This models probably won't be released, but there is already one pilot model on sale. The Szalamandra Pilot for the Nomads:

I bougth one for my Lizard.

A bit more of info:

- Artbook confirmed for this year, without release date yet. About 50% existing stuff - 50% new stuff.

- One summer month is going to have themed releases: miniatures for collectors. This miniatures are designed not to be played, but to be painted as dioramas. This includes: Scarface getting out of the destroyed TAG; the O-Yoroi Pilot will be total cheesecake, in the opened cockpit of the TAG, putting up stockings (I don't know if this is a joke or serious, I guess it's serious); an Auxilia enslaved by Morats, and the "elder of the mountain" (literal translation, I have no clue what is this about). There will be more "collector" minis in other months.

- Corregidor is going to have a lot of minis renewed.

- Mercenary TAG for GenCon (Anaconda?)

- A possible mercenary sectorial.

- Bostria has spoken about some ideas that might as well get real or not: Post-Human sectorial for ALEPH, O-12 with Enomotarch...

New Alguacil concept:

Tikbalang concept:

Anaconda logo:

Merc sectorial (I think the Kaplan belong here):

Oh, thanks, I haven't read completely all the fluff in the books.

Also, the info comes of course from the Spanish Official forum.

I skipped over most of that part of the fluff, I just recognized the reference from history.
Thanks for translating the info from the Spanish forum.
