Put it would have to extend out to each side for the full lenght of an arm (+ armor and mechanics) which would interfere with the use of the TAG arms, the suit would have to be hollow all the way through the back so that the pilot would have use of his arms in that direction as well. It would have to be a big round cannonball with some legs and arms attached to it.

Is it so terrible to make a single piloted TAG without the dumb stomach arms?

They are far from dumb, but have a very functional design. There's no other way a human pilot could fit inside a machine of such size; and let's remember that In the end "Gears" aren't vehicles but personal armors.

Actually I have always found dumb the animes of mechas, things such as Gundam, Robotech/Macross, Full Metal Panic, Evangelion, Code Geass, ... Despite I like them I can't bear up with the idea that the pilots have to control something as complicated as the natural movement of arms in a giant robot with something as simple as a pair of joystick controls. That's why when I got to know Masamune Shirow's works I fell in love with the concept of gears/landmates. Big mechas never appealed me, but I really dig the idea of bulky exoarmored suits not bigger than twice the human height.

Infinity designers have always stated that despite Infinity drinks from many sci fi works, visual design is heavily inspired by Shirow's works. And you know what? If you take a look at his works you'll see cheesecake girls and gears with slave arms are at the order of the day. That's why I find funny your usual entitled whines, it's like if someone started to play 40k and whined because there're space marines and skulls everywhere!

Can I just put that warning in here now then?

Yes?

Excellent!

It's not red, that means it's not legally binding!

But it is just one of those preference things, so I know we are not going to be able to argue each other into liking/not liking something.

After that TAG preview it looks like Infinity might be back on the menu for me, though I guess I can't use said model until the relevant book has been released somewhere down the line allowing for an all-Merc army.

That Anaconda might be the first TAG I get for my QK. Seriously, that concept art is fantastic.

I was hoping for an Iguana for my QK as well, but if the Anaconda ends up looking good (CB rarely disappoints), I may just get it and use it as an Iguana for now or forever. Additionally, setting the Anaconda as a Silver Stars Merc only seems a bit too niche for the time being. Maybe the Anaconda will be available for other factions.

Right, thanks. No need to start begging folks to sell one on if it looks good, then

I will be at gencon.... I wonder if I can buy multiples.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Grr.. didn't realise Qapu Khalqi had a tool-tip! I was having to load up Infinity Army every time I wanted to write it, or writing Kapu Qalpi, Qualqi Kapu etc. I cannot remember how to spell that word..

Was it really that much later?

It was a November release. So expect to get your hands on Anaconda a little before Christmas, unless you pick it at Gencon first.

Well there is still 4-6 months to release the Iguana before the Anaconda gets added to a month's release.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

True, and as noted above, the Anaconda looks like it could pass for an Iguana anyway!

It's smaller than I expected, judging by the scale of the paint bottles.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

Most of the physically piloted TAGs(Sphinx, Szalamandra, Anaconda, Ramhorn) are rather small.

I can think of a few ways to control a TAG. What about mind interface direct link to brain/nervous system with the pilots body strapped in to a snug little armored chamber? That’s as feasible as any of these “realistic” theories. but judging by modern tech they’d be drone operated anyway so…

I have a question for all of you.
We all know that Corvus took a big huge bite out of Masamune Shirow and his various work… I’m definnatly not upset because I don’t see Mr. Shirow bringing his worlds to my table top… so I’m cool with it…

But-

If another miniature game came out with Masamune Shirow style mecha in the same vein as Infinity TAGs which is a clone of landmate designs how would that be received?

Would people say “Oh cool!” or say “Stop Ripping off Infinity!”

I’m very very interested in what this group thinks of that idea…

We'll say plastic, multi-part Mecha that also Borrow from Masamune Shirow and Infinity… anyone up for that?
