Probably. IIRC, any time they release something totally new outside of a book, they will either put the rules on the website (like Miranda Ashcroft, the pre order model for the artbook) or Devil Team will build them into the official army builder (like the additional Odalisque and Muyib profiles from Paradiso).

Don't be surprised though if the Anaconda has a code for a PDF download.
That is, of course, a joke. I would not be surprised to see the Anaconda rules within the next month.

My, my Kan, you've been bitter lately.
Seriously though, there's no precedent for paid for unit profiles (ie none of them), but there is precedent for paid for story based missions (ie all of them).

Thank you both Loki and Kan for your replies, I wasn't quite sure how CB had handled this in the past and I usually just get my "news" here anyway. I would actually prefer a printed card inside the boxes like Kan but I'm "old school" like that. a pdf would be my second choice but again CB didn't ask for my personal opinion so I guess I'll take what I can get as I already bought the Anaconda and I really like two of the Dire Foes sculpts so far. I still think it's better than some other companies current offerings so I won't complain too much.

Mr. Angel usually does a wonderful job, however I think he rushed with Angus. I like the sculpt and the miniature probably looks better in person. If I'd feel more comfortable with green stuff, I'd put some facial hair on it.

If you want the Anaconda rules as hardcopy, I wouldn't worry too much. The only models so far that have not wound up in a book have been limited release models - Max Scorpio (ITS pack reward model) and Go Go Marlene (Paradiso pre order model). Though technically they are, Go Go Marline is a Warcor and Max Scorpio can just be used as an Authorised Bounty Hunter. Miranda Ashcroft (artbook preorder) hasn't yet, but hasn't had the chance, but I wouldn't count on it. She has PDF rules and will probably stay that way due, again, to being limited release. The Anaconda is a general release model, it was just limited at Gencon because it was released for limited early sale there, so I can't see any reason to hold it back from the next book.

I love all these Dire Foes so far, except the Train Rescue. I'm not a fan of any of the factions in it, and the poses are kind of blah. But the sheer quality of the faces almost makes it worth picking up for the heads alone. CB is knocking it out of the park here with the expressiveness in these things!

More likely it is the PDF code--which seemingly is a one time only code. The price difference is likely to cover the costs necessary to maintain a "code redemption" service.

Bostria's been talking about the contents of the boxes. I'll try to translate as accurate as I can:
Bostria@Spanish Infinity forum wrote:
You still don't know neither the extension of the downlodable .PDF, nor how many pages it has, nor what it includes. It's a downloadable .PDF because printing it on paper to get a small book wich cover all the languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian as a minimum...) is 5 times the amount of pages. Expensive and not really practical. Forget about stocking separately by languages, we already did that with the starters and it was a problem.
In the following weeks we'll be uploading more info on the content amount in a Dire Foes box.
Don't think it's a 3 box miniatures because it's something more.
Oh, and yes, it includes quality prints similar to the Artbook.
I don't know if he's implying that there will be more printed material besides the prints (and not being the rules), or if the .PDF is just a large document.
Koni also says that the Anaconda profile will be available soon.

From the sound of it, it's more of an issue that it's too large in book form when you consider it's got the same material reprinted 5x in order to cover all the languages.

I don't think so - at least not in the USA via The Warstore's Pre-Order page.
If they were, Kanluwen would have let us know already...

Then maybe they should have shown what was in it rather than just put the items up with no further comment?
All honesty if they're trying something new the very least that could be done is actually showcasing what is different. They've cultivated so many "partners" in the form of MiniWarGaming, Beasts of War, and Infinity O-12 that any one of those could have been used as an avenue to show the product.
Knight wrote:Marvellous, thanks for the information. Are Dire Foes available to purchase? This the release I don't want to trust my gaming store.
They're not available for purchase yet. It should be the middle or end of November before we see the releases available to distributors or from Corvus Belli direct.
As of right now, The Warstore has still not received the September releases so things might be slowing down for reasons as yet unknown.

Eh.
It's not bad but it's very limited in scope. The big draw for it was that there is art of some as yet unreleased items and the posters(which you have the Tohaa one winging its way towards you now).
The art that was in the book is kind of lackluster and disappointing. I don't regret purchasing it but I do think they could have done a much better job with it.

Some background of the 3 dire foes, I quite like the background info and I feel what the site writes are snippets, the missions looks really intriguing now.
Angus did it again! Prisoner of the Yu Jing StateEmpire, two women will fight to rescue him, the Indigo Fusilier Bipandra spurred on by something more than loyalty, and the Treitak Anyat by the secrets Angus doesn’t know he carries in his Cube. Find out what the fate of poor Angus will be with the “Train Rescue” mission and play this new scenario with its true protagonists!
FUSILIER INDIGO BIPANDRA
Gauri Bipandra (or Bipandra Gauri, in the South Indian traditional style) is a fairly competent field doctor and a survival specialist. She has been forced into that role ever since fate dumped Fusilier Angus in her lap. She originally learned first aid and combat medicine by patching Angus up and keeping him alive long enough to reach a field hospital. She then built up her survival skills by keeping herself alive via the ordeals Angus puts her through on a regular basis.
TREITAK ANYAT
Anyat is notorious throughout the Treitak Unit for her unscrupulous methods, her love for games of chance and her persistent presence in some of the most disreputable gambling dens. With a vast array of tricks up her sleeve, Anyat lets nothing stand in her way when on a mission, particularly if said mission would earn her favors and privileges.
FUSILIER ANGUS
Many regard Angus as a pest, the bane and blight of PanOceania. This man exists in the intersection between clumsiness, obliviousness and plain old bad luck. Angus is a mascot for the PanOceanian line infantry. His misadventures add a comic relief to the situation of every anonymous Fusilier who identifies with him: always sent into the thick of things, always getting the short end of the stick and coming off bruised, but alive.
Absolutely unbelievable! ALEPH and Nomads collaborating together? What could force Vortex Lupe Balboa and Sgt. Chandra Thrasymedes to cooperate in a mission where they are supposed to confront each other? What secrets do these two elite operators hide? Discover it with the “Fleeting Alliance” mission and play this new scenario with its true protagonists!
CHANDRA SERGEANT THRASYMEDES
Notes by Thamyris the Aoidos for the SSS Information Service: “Thrasymedes is our point man. He is always ahead of us, scouring the terrain and guarding us from unwelcome surprises. His courage is unquestionable, but sometimes I wonder whether the reason why he pushes onward and leaves us behind is that he just cannot stomach us…”
ALGUACIL VORTEX LUPE BALBOA
“Sorry, are you trying to say something? I can’t hear you over the sound of me kicking your ass.”
Vortex Guadalupe “Lupe” Balboa.
How has Lupe Balboa passed from a tactical penal regiment to a unit as elite as the Vortex? That’s easy to answer, just by surviving all the gak that’s flown over her head. That’s a quality the Nomad Intelligence service appreciates enough to allow Lupe to keep Pancho, her illegal drakomon.
MARINE ENGINEERING OFFICER
The Marine Engineering Officers are those who keep the spaceships running, no matter if we are talking about an independent freighter or a pleasure cruise ship through the stars. They are your surety of reaching your destination safe and sound.
Clandestine actions into the deepest darkness! Intel Isobel MacGregor, an expert Caledonian data-thief, and Guǐ Fēng Yuriko Oda, elite saboteur and Kempeitai killer, fight each other in the deepest darkness, and a poor Comm-Tech is caught in the middle of their struggle! To know what the final result of the “Dark Mist” mission will be, play this new scenario with its true protagonists!
INTEL VOLUNTEER ISOBEL McGREGOR
Trying to get away from her family and the silly one-upmanship of Clan politics, Isobel joined the Intel unit and was detached to the technical adaptation programs put in place by Bureau Aegis to aid joint operations on Paradiso. With that training she became an information thief, an expert in cyberdefense and how to bypass it. She soon put her newfound expertise to use well beyond the confines of the war against the Combined Army. Ariadna wanted some bargaining power in the cutthroat arena of international politics, which meant it needed to take other people’s secrets by force. That was not a problem for an Intel as motivated as Isobel, for whom every enemy, human or alien, is fair game. Nothing less is expected of a McGregor.
KEISOTSU GUǏ FĒNG YURIKO ODA
Double life? Double the risk! Only one thing is more dangerous than being a Guǐ Fēng working for the Yǎnjīng (“The Eyes”, Yu Jing’s Military Intelligence department), and that is being a double agent infiltrated into that special operations unit. Especially when you are an agent of the Kempeitai, the covert military organization that advocates Nipponese secession.
COMM-TECH
The Human Sphere would fall to pieces save for the unending work of Comm-Techs. Software applications are great. Research in quantronics is very important. But none of that is any good when the repeater in your block malfunctions and you can’t connect to the data sphere.
