About the Yu Jing Svalarheima sectorial...
The white masks on Yu Jing troops like Guilang, HacTao and DaoFei are a recognisable hint that they below to the White Flag Army.
Also, the Shaolin monks have the Svalarheima sectorial logo on their box. Look at those... they have white color scheme and snow on their bases.

Daofei are purportedly pulling double duty in Svalarheima and Invincible Army. Since their introduction the Daofei have been "the Infiltration Regiment" of the Invincible Army.

All I care about is where I can take 2 of them. Ms. Daofei is getting a wee bit tired of having only the Guilang objective-grabber or some can't-hit-the-broad-side-of-a-barn ninjas backing her up in the middle of the table... Multiple infiltrating HI would present a fun type of play that's not available elsewhere in the game (that I know of?).

Re: Riot Girls, I was saying that their gear is good for riot suppression but they're probably more likely to be rioters. I get the reference, being from Seattle and all. And the riot gear too actually, having had riot weapons used on me. Ah, the 90s were an interesting time in this town.

They already have those... Riot Girls. Of course, they're just as like to be the ones rioting as the ones quelling a riot... but the gear and abilities are definitely perfect for riot suppression.

No no, I want dudes with face masks (possibly gas masks as well), riot shields and shock batons. There aren't many units that actually have shields, so it could be an interesting mechanic and allow them to get in close and beat the tar out of your opponent's troops.

I think that the closest that you'll get to shields will be the ODD and ODF.

But for boarding action tables, some sort of actual shield mechanic, or even some sort of mantlet might make for an interesting game. Normally, those long corridors...ugh, suppression fire and mines dominate too much

I think they mean an actual physical shield, like a riot shield, not an energy barrier.

The worst and least enjoyable games I had were played on internal terrain. I do not recommend it, unless of course you're a Nomad player.

Unless you are referring to models, see Bubblegum Crisis.

Oh man, now that you mention it, with hi tech power armour and high heels, the Knight Sabers are totally up CB's street. An homage unit would make a great four person merc box for the new sectorial

Hmm assuming they weren't straight up Yu Jing, Sylia would have to be Pan-O (the money!), Priss would be Caledonian, Nene would be Yu Jing and Linna.. hmm probably Haqqislam.

A guy can dream, right?

Someone beat me to it but the knight sabers are a female merc team from the anime bubblegum crisis. A company makes a 25mm set but they really are 25 mm. You always hear about how small infinity minis are, but really they're just skinny, the knight sabers ended up being child sized at best. But... they *do* look kind if like robots, so I'm thinking of drafting them as zondbots for docs and engis.

This is why I was referring to models! I recognized the name and wondered if models existed for them

What, really? My experience is quite the opposite, and I play Yu Jing. As long as you know what you're building your list for, it's tons of fun IME.

I play on Space Hulk tiles pretty frequently and it's great as long as you have multiple routes to objectives, etc. Hacking/destroying doors adds a bunch of interesting changes to your movement calculations.

Oh, and boarding shotguns shine (what they're designed for really shows), as well as HI with short-ranged weapons. Even the Crane was badass on a boarding action table. I'd love to face MO with my JSA or something HI-link-team-ish next time I play indoor action.

I guess Boarding Action is much like the Heavy Grenade Launcher - you need to know that you will be facing it and plan beforehand.

Anyone else *not* hoping for sectorials five days from now?

Just dropped $300 on Tohaa as a second faction, I'd like their shiny syndrome to last at least a few months before I dive wallet first into something from the new book.

That said, a double Dao sectorial would be right up my alley. Or even just sticking that into Imperial Service, which I really want to like but just can't bring myself to...

I absolutely want my Hindu Aleph sectorial ASAP.
When I first decided I'd play Aleph I was so excited about the concept of TO camo and nagas but everyone else was ooohing and ahhing over the latest Steel Phalanx release (I forget which actually.. but it still annoyed me!)

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

And if its the mobile link I'll fix it when I get the chance. They are tiny, there are size comparisons in the Knight sabers section of my dakka gallery.

Neat models. Just out of scale with most things. They're modeled very closely after the first run of the series.

Except you should know your playing a Boarding Action before you build your list. As list build is meant to be after mission is choosing and the factions are declared . I think the fact it going to be a Boarding Action should be agreed on in the mission phase.

I'm all for new sectorials. I can't wait for the Caliphate Haqqislam sectorial with all its super soldiers, and the unruly biker Khanate sectorial idea is growing on me. I'm super keen to see the Tohaa sectorial as well, and I'm in the same boat - I've just recently bought most of that range. More options for your faction is always a good thing.

However, I'd much, much prefer it if the news had something about the hints Antenociti was dropping about using his drop ships in Infinity. Proper dropship rules and a supporting model range (say, a dropship for each faction) would be super boss.

Titled "Troll Time"...could it have any meaning? Or is it just Bostria being Bostria?

So, there is apparently a present in there...

Much more interesting to see imho is what Antenoctis will keep as terrain and the reworked advertisement colums which I regretted to have got in their old iteration. As long as they now keep the solarpanels, I am a happy camper. :-D

The answer to the pic is easy. Next month we get Merc sectional lists, that way all the mrec stuff in the pic .

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.

Could be the answer. Here are five Druze in the pic, and without checking I think you can only take 4 in the QK sectorial.
