2) It is a 'paper mat', whatever that means. I'll use it for a bit, but it almost counts as a 'throw in', and I'm not too worried about it. Now, if I were paying for a higher quality mat, then yes, I'd 'like' for it to have diagonal roads...

Don't be ridiculous. The best way is to include one illegal half sized squad of figures that no one ever uses in the full game because they suck so bad for each side along with the rules and nothing else. THAT is how you create a starter! Not.

Anything Nomad can be "general Nomad", but Mobile Brigada are Corregidor units. They're Linkable in the Corregidor sectorial.

Whew! That's a high percentage of foot-on-rock!

I like the Spektr and I love the Mobile Brigada. Revising the look to make it a mini-Gecko was a really smart move and now they have moved up my list from "I wouldn't touch that **** if they paid me" to something that I would be happy to have as the core of a Corregidor list.

Edit: Liking the new Alguaciles too, AND the new Fusiliers! So far this box is looking pretty awesome!

Well I need those Alguaciles for the Sectorial too I mean 4 of the 6 models belong to Corregidor and the other two are split between the other ships.

Is it my imagination, or is gap between the female and male troops widening? I guess it was there with the Bolts, too (not to mention the whole 'smaller gun' thing) but the male Fusiliers in particular look particularly bad ass while the female version looks like a woman cosplaying as a Fusilier. I suppose it isn't helped by the fact that neither of the female line infantry are in a combat pose.

I can't wait to pre order this. My Nomad forces are soon to be swelling and looks like I'm starting a Pan O army.

Finally, a replacement for the 'sitting in snow' tiny Nisse sniper.

Likewise, PanO troops actually aiming with sights, as opposed to hip firing those awkward minigun rifles they had before.

It looks like both HI have bulked up substantially though. Look at those chestplates and shoulderguards.

This is the moment is where I part ways with Infinity. I'm simply not liking the new art direction they went with PanO, I was worried it'll come to this after seeing the interview.

What new art direction? The Orc looks like the old one, only slightly bulked up. The new Fusiliers look like the old fusiliers, only better.

The Nisse looks like the old Nisse, only better.

New Generic knight, whatever. Not a fan, but I never liked the Knights.

The Akal looks the same, except for the new backpack. Which I'm OK with. The Crusaders look great with them for example.

Especially that Nisse! Good lawd! If this is what we can expect from the Svarlheim troops in the future I'm super on board. And that Spektr and the new G unit guy... whew...

The new Alguaciles look like spiritual updates of the old ones in the current starter pack.

Love the models. Also in regards to some of the points made here is my take- the "rocks" are metal and in the two of the cases it appears to be the carcass of some sort of nomad/pano unit. To me thats pretty bada** that the unit is literally walking over the remains of a unit it just destroyed. Pretty powerful imagery. Also yes the Pan-O female looks a bit silly but honestly for the Nomad female if you lined up the 3 of the line troops I would assume shes in charge as she seems to be pointing to where the two guys are shooting, so I see it more as a commanding pose then a fighting pose but hey you need multiple poses for the line-troops. I also actually like the Nomad shoulders but that's just my preference. Either way, I just want to pre-order it now!
