Hey all.

I recently purchased 3 Dark Eldar Venoms and I am planning to throw in 4 Trueborn all equipped with Blasters in each of the Venoms. The problem I am running into is that I can't find Dark Eldar Blasters to make the Trueborn models out of. I am currently taking Wyche legs, Kabalite warrior bodies/arms/blasters, and helmeted heads from the Dark Eldar Reavers that look they don't have a face. However, I can't find Blasters anywhere. I looked on eBay and there is some guy on there selling a SINGLE blaster for $10 USD, which is a total rip off.

Anyone know of some other place to get them? Or if someone on here is willing to make a deal?

I'm afraid if you want to get multiple Blasters it's going to be expensive, especially to equip 12 guys. You can check out The Warstore, but the price is the same as eBay. They are the #1 most sought after weapon in the DE codex, or at least on the Warrior sprues.

---Replace with tiny random engine part off of the Ravager kit (there's 8 in there)

I am thinking I am going to take all of my Shredders and just throw them on and say they are blasters. I suppose they really just need to look like generic special weapons. They are all outfitted the same so I don't think it will be a problem if I ever decided to go to a tournament. Probably still need to find 4 more "special" weapons, though. I might do what Mr. Self-Destruct suggested. Although, I am unsure of what engine parts you speak of...

He means the retrofire jets part. Also, you can use the barrels off of Disintegrators (you get 1 with every Raider, 3 with every Ravager), you can use the barrels off of Reaver jetbike blaster bits (1 per box), you can use the barrels off of blast pistols (1 per wych or warrior box), you will get a blaster per scourge box, and so on. I made 16; only have 6 boxes of warriors and bought zero extra bits.

To salvage some you could use the one that comes with the reavers and mdofiy it onto a rifle/cannon/lance. You could use the scourge one since you'll likely not use blasters on scourges. Blast pistol conversions. Putty and oyumaru. $10 a blaster?

Just chop the barrel off the Shredder and add the barrel from the Blast Pistol from the same box. Voila, 2 Blasters from every box. That's what I did.

Nice, Grimtuff. What I was considering was just to use the Shredders and Blast pistol/CC weapon combinations and just say they are all Blasters. Would that fly at a WYSIWYG tournament? If not, I'll start chopping Blast pistol ends off and attaching them to the end of the Shredders.

I know this is an old thread, but I recently started Dark Eldar and needed 12 total Blasters for my 3 Venom transported Trueborn squads. Did a lot of searching all over the internet and was quite unsatisfied with what I was finding. Most people were only able to get 2 blasters out of the Kalabite Warrior Box, the rest suggested fishing around on ebay for the expensive little bits.

Anyways I was able to get 3 blasters from each of my Kabalite Warrior kit, and want to share it.



The top one is a snipped up Dark Lance, with the Blaster pistol barrel glued to the front of it, the Middle is the actual Blaster bit, and the Bottom is a shredder that has only been snipped up a bit.

They all look slightly different, but I sorta like the variation, and once I have 12 of these I think they will all uniformly pass as recognizable Blasters. Also I'll have this imagex4 for my 12 blasters, with only 4 boxes of KabKabalite Warriors. Anyways I think this is the best way to get your bits.

4 boxes is all I need for my Army list aswell. Three 5xTrueborn with 4 blasters in each squad, two 10xWarriors each squad with a Splinter Cannon. So basically I need a total of 21 splinter rifles, 12 blasters, and 2 splinter cannons, and using this conversion idea I get all of this with just the 4 boxes of Kabalite Warriors, which I would have needed to buy anyways just for the bodies.

You can cut the barrel off of a dark lance to get a fat bodied 'blunderblaster.'

Yeah I saw that conversion idea aswell, you could in fact probably get a total of 4 blasters from a single box utilizing that idea. Cause then you could glue the blaster pistol barrel bit to another snipped up weapon instead. One regular Blaster, one Blunderblaster, one snipped up shredder, one splinter rifle snipped up with the Blaster Pistol Barrel glued to it, 4 and done.

I myself needed to buy 4 boxes just for the bodies though anyways, and I do like the slender looking barrel a little more. But yeah with that "blunderblaster" idea you could get 4 blasters from a single Warriors box, not bad at all.
