Great work as usual, sir. Love that necron color scheme! That new SM flier look a bit goofy to me though.

Very nice work, Byron. Mierzwa's color scheme caught my attention, too. I think it might transfer nicely to some Eldar, maybe Ulthwe. I'm looking forward to seing your progress and your recipes.

Dying's the easy way out. You won't catch me dying. They'll have to kill me before I die!

It's a bit of a marmite model, seeing it in person it's really grown on me! Cheers, stealing schemes is an artform in of itself...

Definitely! I think you could even substituate the blue: it's basically black+white+a bright colour when you get down to it, let me know on here how it goes and I'll have a good old nosy at it

Cheers bud, at the bottom of this lot is a 'night shot' of them, just for you

All pictures are thumbnails to my gallery, plenty more shots there!

Hi guys, I've painted up the new O+G kits and wanted to share my love for them, the models are lovely to paint, I've written a little review/post about them on my blog here:
http://www.elementgames.co.uk/painting-blog/

Here's a picture of the big chap, I'll get some more quality shots soon.

Both are up on eBay now: Here's a link

Here's a couple more shots, and also a link to a video (first time I've tried it, I'm still working things out, but please let me know your thoughts on it, good or bad).

There's a video of the little chap as well, but I think he was just too tiny for my camera to handle, both in photo and video form; which is a shame, because the model's amazing.

Those video's are quite helpful I guess if you're trying to sell them. I like the little guy too although the video of him could be shot from a little closer by I think

Yeah, I had real issues with him, he's so tiny! I'm going to work on it for future videos, so hopefully it's something I can improve.

Well it's been a while but I've written a new blog post on batch assembly which may not sound like the most exciting thing in the world, but is a necessary evil (I hate it!). Definitely essential when you get boxes this big turn up to be painted!

Also there's another couple of videos of an annihilation barge and a C'tan on youtube, the models look o.k. at least! My editing is still very non existent...

Lots more necron updates to come, this army is going to be very metallic (no change from normal necrons there), and also very gold (not seen this too much before, anyone got any links for inspiration?).

To be fair actually they weren't too bad bubble-wise.

I did however have to reposition 6 out of 7 of their right feet so they'd actually look natural on the bases, heat warped throughout the lot :S FC really isn't suited to skinnier models I don't think,

Give me their new plastics any day, the orc+gobbo up above are proof that what can be done is spectacular!

Tell me about it! They're part of the reason I've not posted for the past couple of weeks! I've been very busy with other stuff and getting this lot assembled, which has taken a while!

I wrote a blog post about batch assembly: http://www.elementgames.co.uk/painting-blog/

And today I've just written an article on speed painting necron infantry using sprays and washes: http://elementgames.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=231

I'll get some decent Necron pictures up before the week is out!

Cheers Robbie Here's some more for you:

More shots here on my blog

And even more in my ever growing Necron gallery (will it ever stop? Probably not: I do love the little terminators )

I'm quite enjoying doing the in a different scheme, painting gold and making the army look coherent and distinct is quite a challenge!

They're my tried and tested ones for metallic armies Cheers Robbie.

Another quicky made some progress and got another couple of shots up in my gallery, the picture's a link to more shots as usual:

Working on 3 Doomsday Arks currently, coming out quite nicely, more pictures as soon as they're done.

The blue contrasts really nicely I think.. Your commissioner should be pleased

Cheers Robbie, we've had a bit of the chat about the gold and I think he's on board with my interpretation of his wants, gold is a hard schee to get right IMO and I think we've come up with something nice between us, here's a shot of an ark:

Well it's been a while since I've had any fantasy updates, although with this being daemons it's for bases of all shapes (and sizes!).

I'll be doing some reviews/tutorials for them soon, however before I write anything properly I may as well say that all of these kits are absolutely brilliant from a painting and modelling perspective, none of them goes under 9/10 for me.

Those daemons and the ark look great! Though maybe i'd make the scarabs on the ark stand out a bit more

Cheers Robbie, scarabs?

I'll have a tutorial up for the screamers as well shortly

For now here's the nurgling tutorial http://www.elementgames.co.uk/forums/1-day-daemons-painting-nurglings-t232.html

And a quick review of both the nurgling and the screamer kits on my blog

The scarabs repairing the warriors on the ghost ark. Maybe they could stand out a little more. Nice tutorial! Relatively simple paintscheme but great results

Some Plaguebearers, when I can squeeze an hour or two I'll get tutorials written up for both these and the screamers:

Picture is a link to my Daemon gallery with more views:

And also another Necron Shot, the army is getting pretty huge now! Plenty more Necron pictures if you click the link:

Cheers Robbie, I've been so busy with the store that I've not had time to send in my stuff to them in case they'd like to feature it in the past few months, so it was really nice to see my work up there.

I'm not quite sure; my 40k knowledge couldn't fill a tea-cup, the requirements were 'ground turrets' and a friend of mine who's a bit of a plastic-wizard converted them, I think they've come out pretty nicely, the shields on the sides break up the flat areas, and they were really nice to weather a bit (the closer to the ground the parts of this army are the more they are weathered).

I've been a bit lazy with posting up Work in Progress shots recently, so here's some half-done khorne stuff (on the left will be a unit filler for bloodletters), I always like seeing what processes people use when they paint.

Quite curious what the commissioner wants to use those for then. I should really learn to make bases like those, they really look great
