Hey joe, do you have a gallery on your site where customers can show off their finished anvil minis? That would be kinda sweet to see

New Torsos example image attached below.

Two on the left are updated versions of the Spartan and Medieval torsos - remaining two to follow next week.

The two on the right are "tech" torso blanks with minimal detailing, just the armour plates. I may make more ornate versions of these at some point.

The main differences are the addition of a proper "belt" which was missing from the previous ones, and some collar armour to better protect the back of the head.

They are also based on a 3D printed master, so the symetry and dimensions are perfect and sculpts are a lot smoother.

I will be re-releasing the Steam Lords later tonight with the new torsos and also Medieval melee arms available as an option for the first time.


@El_Capitan - Im planning a shoulder mounted missile launcher as one of a number of Steam Lord Heavy weapons.

The existing auto-cannon. Its not suitable for use like that, and I actually just withdrew from sale, the mould is worn out and I plan to update it as a 3D printed version.

Not sure when I will get round to it though, as I have many projects on the list!

@EchoJ7 - Yes the scaled down rifles will fit popular 28mm heroic scale plastic infantry kits, if thats what you mean.

@Lobukia and Commander Cain - Id like to set up somthing like that, and I plan to, but copyright restrictions means I cant really post photos of anything unless the ENTIRE miniature is Anvil Industry, which limits me somewhat.

I find your lack of nipples disturbing... No, honestly, I love these guys, especially 2 & 4.

Number 4, very nice especially if you wanted to do a certain type of Armour....Very nice, and the best bit is the clean lines and armour panels so you add your own GS detailing or symbols.

All round excellence.

@Sicksix - They are on the cards. Im happy with the current legs but I still want to redo them in 3D, to make a few design changes and some re-scaling, it wont be untill next year now though, as there is A LOT of stuff that people seem to want sooner!

The Custom Steam Lord Sets are available again now with all the new options.

Two new torsos next week also.

Wow ive been away from warhammer far too long.

Quick shots of a test sculpt - a full squad is now prepped and sitting in my sculpting queue.

Looking good! Your sculpts are really the only thing that has ever gotten me to TBI k about doing an IG army.

Shield your eyes from my shoddy paint jobs and pictures!

I'm sure folks will spot my influences here – Roman Legionnaires. The helmets (in universe) were inspired by Rhino like mega fauna the Dwarves use as beasts of burden. The shield icon represents a great fire Djinn trapped underneath a pyramid the Dwarves worship. Big shields are used to fight Phalanx style – slow but unbreakable.

All my fantasy stuff is going to be middle eastern based (not only Dwarves), hopefully I get to continue expanding this range with Anvil.

I like 'em lots! Paintjob is actually pretty darn good, reminds me of uruk-hai armour from LotR.

I just recently got some conversion parts from anvil, and wanted to report my thoughts on them;

just amazing quality.

very very happy with the sculpts, and they are some of the best casts I think I have ever seen.

Bravo sir, bravo.

Now...can I get spartan/roman shoulder pads with leather straps?
Or how about some left-shield-arms termy size?
(for those of us who have shields but no arms for them to fit on terminator sized models). Or are your current shield arms for termies or "normal' armored guys?

@Davethepak, thanks very much! I really appreciate your taking the time to leave feedback! The shoulder pads with leather straps is a good idea - but its now at the bottom of a very long list of stuff I want to work on! The current shield arms are for "normal" guys.
I've got some larger exo-armoured minis on the drawing board - at least a few places higher up than the pads/straps, which might come in handy!

Ooh, nice stuff there Anvil! The latest torsos look great and I can't wait to get my paws on those now guns.

I can't think of any other weapons that would be good atm, maybe some form of a double barreled widow-maker would be interesting though?

Some kind of.."Combination Weapon" of Widowmaker and Ion/Fusion gun would be nice

I've also been looking around for a kit to make a harness for mounting servomechanisms

Wow, the cloaked skull heads are crazy cool. I ordered a set of torsos, legs, etc (everything but arms and guns) a few weeks ago. Kinda glad I havent assembled them yet, as I might need to change plans a bit and get some of those cloaked skulls.


I see that the heads are sold in a variety pack, any chance of ordering multiples of just one kind? I would need 10 of the cloaked skull head.

@Charax - thats a possibilitie but only if I can figure out a good looking way of doing it.

@jehan reznor - possibly links would be ok, but its not a risk worth taking. Customer are very welcome indeed to post their own photographys in this thread or on my facebook page!

@alfhedil - Ive wanted to do a shoulder mounted assault rifle type weapon for a while, and a wrist mounted version is also a possiblity.

@mad4minis - I would have to create a separate sprue - and would probably make a few different ones - hooded skull with bionic eye for example, to add some variety.

I will think about it over the weekend and let you know how I get on.

Nothing too much to get exited about, I suppose, but from small acorns and all that.

Here is a couple of pictures of the "Granite Wasteland" bases I got from Joel a little while ago.





Although Joel states you don't need to undercoat these bases, I do anyway. I don't know why, but they do seem more black afterwards. Then these have just been painted brown, washed and drybrushed, the rockes picked out in greys, and some static grass added. Perfect for TT quality as I am going to be giving them to a mate once I have finished the models to go on them.

Firstly - as requested by Mad4minis and a few others elsewhere, Ive done a sprue of just hooded skulls, available now-



Next up we have somthing I rashly promised on the facebook group - as I had posted a photo of a pumpkin Id carved up for halloween - Im proud to announce what I think is a world first - 28mm scale resin pumpkin heads-



And lastly robed Steam Lord Legs -





Im pretty proud of these - sculpts started by Icesword and completed by me - and yes, matching robed torsos will be out as fast as I can sculpt them!!

I also have a number of new weapons out later this week hopefully.

Great stuff as always! Not a fan of the skull heads in general but that is just due to the shape of them. The pumpkin heads have decided my next Halloween project for me.

Really needed some robed legs, these are just what I needed!

I love it all! The robed skull heads need to find a way into my Silver Skulls.
