Joel, after looking at your sniper supression team some more, the snipers arn't really in a sniper kind of pose. I'd expect them to be prone or in a braced crouching position.

The thing is that ultimately, they're toy soldiers, and simply representative of individuals in action. These figures will work quite well as they can look over walls, rooftops, etc etc.

Imagine trying to fire a 50.CAL from the hip.. Impossible right?

Now put on a suit of powered Exo-Armour which weights as much as a small car.

Spread your legs out and proceed to fire your 50. CAL with one hand, with no loss of accuracy.

In real life - I just build this kit up as an option with my vanguard rifle arms, so they were not designed specifically to be "snipers" more like a heavy rifle/machine gun team which has accurate sniper cannons.

At some point I will make some black ops snipers in the proper position, with cloaks/netting etc etc.

Cheers,

Joel

This isn't regarding these specific models, but I have to say I've had nothing but good dealings with the Anvil team. Great content, super-easy when the rare issue arises. Up there with Secret Weapon.

A request when you make your Black Ops command team I'd like to ask for is 1 (or 2 ) left arms that would hold onto the forgrips

@Deadairis - Thanks very much for your feedback! Im glad we've met your high expectations

@Emperor Bacon - You'll be pleased to know there will be no major new product for the next month or so while we sort out a few business admin tasks! So you can get everything painted.

@Newabortion and Commander cain - Noted - foregrip hands will be included in one or both of the veteran and command teams.

@Malika - as Icesword says,- current not sure, I just need to fit in the mould making for some of it, but we have a stupid amount of work to do at the moment so I cant give a date just yet.

-------------------

We are back from an absolutely amazing SALUTE 2013 - we had a blast, met some awesome people, saw some awesome wargames and we even still have some items in stock!

Im pleased to announce that both our Show releases are now available on the website -

First up the Black Ops ALPHA STRIKE. Five Battle hardened Veterans armed with the devestating Multi-Part Lance Carbine weapon.

There is also an option to equip the squad with Black Ops Rifles/Carbines, or with 5x Ion Rifle or Fusion Cannon to provide other support squad types.

The bodies and some of the heads are all new sculpts, In particular the Sergeant has a decorative helmet option and raised armoured collar. and one trooper is well wrapped in ammo belts!

Next up we have the first major Regiments release - The A.R.C Cybernetic Infantry Units.

You can get a Fireteam, Sniper Team, 10 man squad with energy Weapon or 30 man Platoon with three Energy Weapons.

Every regular trooper comes with a choice of two heads - Fleshy/Respirator or Metal Skull, and a choice of any of the regiments guns - Laser and Solid shot rifles, shotgun or the Firestorm Carbine.

I will be adding Command and Heavy support elements next.

Example Squad with Combat shotguns and Flamer Thrower Drone.

A better photo of the Energy Weapon Drones - Flame Thrower, Fusion Cannon and Ion Rifle.

And again the scale comparison photo -

These new A.R.C figures are available in the store here - http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=108_112

I hope you guys like these new figures.

With the exception of a few Work in Progress products (Regiments bare and fatigue arms, black ops arms and legs) I will be taking a break from sculpting new product for the next month or so, to focus on a lot of business development, organisation and admin. Its all really boring stuff, but its important for the future growth of the company.
I plan to be back to "business as usual" with the release schedule from the end of May.

Cheers,

Joel

Though the news of no new stuff for ages is grinding in my ears and my tears are watering since I've yet not seen any robed regiments sized minis, I must say these look really good - once again you have made some truely amazing miniatures.
If buying the regular troopers ie no special weapon, which part do they come in - says multipart in the description, but what does that mean? 2heads/arms/torso/legs/weapon ? or are the arms precast on the torsos?

Apologies for the planned lack of new product, but it does mean that when I do start sculpting again, I will be able to produce far more product than currently as we will have the infrastructure in place to support a larger product range!

Im glad you like the ARC-

Multi part means heads/ Arms/stock and torso as one peice - gun glues in to hands, legs.

Having the arms pre-cast is SO much easier for both casting and assembly, so Ill be doing that for most of the Regiments range.

Robed/hooded/partially human versions are next, along with the ARC heavy weapons platforms.

Joel

Cheers Joel - looking forward to you next minis already.

I'm a bit slow it seems, hard day at work! Does the above mean the arms come separately or cast on the body already?

Made in gb
Longtime Dakkanaut

Its not actually all that clear is it..

The arms and torso are cast as one single peice, so you cut the pistol grip and stock off the regiments weapon and it drops neatly into place.

The arms are available separately and the torsos will be also at some point.

NEW STUFF-

The separate Vanguard (Black Ops) Style Legs are now available to purchase separately - Static and Running Sets plus a Kneeling pair.

Available here-

http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=77_96

The Vanguard Rifle Arms are also available with a photo coming soon. (They are the same style as the Black Ops but minus the shoulder pad).

Do these armored troopers stand taller than a certain other companies power armored troopers?

I.e., are they 'true scale' like in their height?

Apologies if this has been asked and answered (and scale pictures already shown?) already - I'm just a bit late to the game here, so any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks very much guys, Glad you like the product! Though credit for the MOTN range goes to Icesword whom I know keeps and eye on this thread! More of his stuff coming out soon!

Hulksmash - Yep 8 days ish is how long its meant to take and the majority of orders take 7-10 days, but it can be anywhere from 5 days to a month on occasion, a bit tempermental.
We should sort out a US distributor!

-----------------------------

Generally - Sorry for being very quite since Salute! We are currently in a process of reorganising the business and getting a lot of essential admin out of the way.

From the end of this month I expect to be back to working on new products full time and have lots of new stuff planned!

At the moment I'm thinking about bringing the Anvil Rules set/Game system forward, starting work on it over summer, with the aim of having the Beta rules and half a dozen units for the first two factions ready by the end of the year.. Possibly with a kickstarter to fund further development.

Bare and fatigues rifle arms for the regiments guns - for those of you waiting on these, they are 100% NEXT.

Joel

You can fund the whole thing if you like-
Ill create a £1,000,000 pledge, for which I will travel to your house anywhere in the world, sit down with you for a few days working out your own ideal wargame, background, rules set, factions and miniatures, then I will come home, work tirelessly for several years to make a single fully assembled and painted copy of the game which I will hand deliver, and then retire from wargaming forever.

Alternatively if 5000 people pledge a couple of hundred quid each, Ill make an awesome sci-fi wargame for everyone!
