A bit more time then? That's a good thing. I have a big enough pile to get through. This will give me time to get through a bit more before I get tempted to start making orders.

Sorry, hadn't mentally linked your username with, you know, Miniatures of the North

Anyway - those are lovely! That's going to be another couple of units for me to build...

Also worth mentioning that they scale well with the LotR/Hobbit dwarves - my Fallen Dwarf army has a unit of Grim Hammers that's painted up in similar colours and they fit in perfectly

Not to throw down totally unsurprising news, but put in an order, it showed up promptly, and everything looks almost cruelly crisp. Anvil rocking faces as always.

I am really liking the new Regiments stuff- the Ordnance disposal heads especially look like they could make for some awesome Arbites conversions.

@JoeRugby - thanks for posting, glad you like them.

@Siygess - Carapace arms will be available at launch!

@Deadairis - Yep that sounds like business as usual for us. Thanks for your feedback!

@Haigus- Ive got a resin figure built up with the Ordnance disposal torso/head and I think its actually my favorite so far!

REGIMENTS RELEASE INFO :

We've got the first full figures built up in resin - I'm hoping we will get a chance to get some photos today, but its not looking likely with the usual highly organised pre-SALUTE panic.

This means if you want to be the FIRST to see our new Regiments miniatures in the flesh - stop by our stand at SALUTE tomorrow!

We didn't manage to get the legs ready in time, but we have very limited quantities of some heads, torsos, arms, weapons and shoulder pads available for sale!

The full online release will likely be in 2-3 weeks time once I've had a chance to finish the legs, special weapons, and some more arm poses.

I know the scale isn't the same, but I'd be curious to see how the Regiments upper bodies look mounted on Afterlife legs.

They look pretty good on certain sets actually!

Without shoulder pads especially.

They work well on the Grenadier legs and the CRANE corporation infantry. Just the small "double belt" issue but we don't think it looks that odd.

We will be releasing dedicated Regiments legs scaled perfectly but we will also make suitable Afterlife legs available.

I am hoping for a mini melta sprue. I really like the arm idea so I can put in any weapon. Looking forward to this.

Hey Guys,

We are back from a very busy SALUTE tradeshow, the usual last minute preparations and madness.

Utterly exhausted, and apologies for the lack of updates and a likely delay in processing orders this week while we catch our breath!

We had a great time and thanks to any of you who stopped by at the stand or game table.

@Desubot - I don't have an example, but they are 5.3mm tall and 3mm in diameter, if that helps.

@Javin - The plan with the Regiments specialist weapons, if that's what you refer to, is to have a stock, foregrip and bottom of the weapon as one part with the arms, and the top of the weapon and fuel/power tank be separate, so even with the arms glued to the model, swapping from one weapon to another (Flame thrower, Ion Rifle or Fusion Cannon) will be pretty easy.

New renders are likely to be next week now, as Adam is on holiday so Charlie and I have our work cut out just manufacturing and shipping stuff!

Yeah we will get some photos up as soon as we can.

The difficulty is this week Adam is on holiday and SALUTE always leaves a huge pile of stuff to organise and sort out.
This means Charlie and I will spend most of this week casting and packing customer orders to catch up and get things back to normal.

We are working as fast as possible!

What is the situation with the A.R.C kits? Is there any chance of components from them being released individually? I really like the alternate heads that come with them (not the skull ones, the ones that look like hoods), and would like to get hold of them for an Imperial Navy project I am brainstorming at the moment. They look suitably industrial and non-military basically.

Hi Haighus,

I'm afraid not - the A.R.C stuff is all quite old and very much in need of a revamp.

The plan is to release brand new bionic parts for the upcoming Regiments range, including the option to build fully robotic infantry which will replace the A.R.C models.

Hopefully you will find a head in the regiments range which suits your purposes.

For those of you not following our fb page - some recent previews for the Regiments range -

Wow - I'm just in love! The Regiments aren't something I thought I would need... now I'm not so sure

Just love covered or partially covered heads - so much cooler, and easier to paint, too! The one with the visor above, and this one with the cloth over his face... both awesome

The modular gun looks fantastic! Really looking forward to robotic infantry as well. Will the arc troops be discontinued? I wouldn't mind grabbing a few more if that was the case

Ahh, pity, thanks for the reply though! I was actually eyeballing the EOD head on the previous page as it has a somewhat high-tech-welding-mask look to it.

Modular lasrifle is really cool, and I can see a laser pointer being reaaaally useful for aiming a laser weapon, seeing as, when properly calibrated, the shot would always go to where the laser was pointing.

What is the rough E.T.A for the Regiments stuff now? What with the last estimate being late April/early May and all...

@RiTides - covered heads are easier to sculpt as well! some bare heads in various styles will follow in June I think, Ive got another (better) sculptor I'm hoping is going to lend a hand.

@Commander Cain - Yes, we've no plans to rerelease the A.R.C , the new ones will be substantially better.

*Ahem* Yes.. Captain Wildly Inaccurate Estimates reporting for duty!

The original aim was to launch at Salute.. that inevitably slipped (although we did have some parts) and now, for one reason or another, I've had a series of 3-4 day work weeks, which slows things down.

In theory, I'm making good progress, and should be able to launch in May still, just not quite yet.. but basically, Ill know about a week before we launch - as we are aiming to get production molds ready, so we can start shipping orders right away, rather than a pre-order system.

The bulk of the remaining, rather tedious, work is posing arms and legs lots of times - I want to have 10 different poses of each leg and arm style (other companies who are lazy and only provide 2-3 in a 10 man unit, I'm looking at you).

Any chance a few of those arms might be holding foregrips? You've got foregrips as add-on pieces, but currently there's no real way to hold them without chopping the arms up.

Made in gb
Longtime Dakkanaut

@Barzam - Ill have a think about it - easy to make a set of arms holding a foregrip attachment, but some people might not like it, whats most likely - Ill put a couple of hands holding foregrips on the arms sprues, that way the conversion is reasonably easy, and should suit everyone.

There will be two arm sprues - one with 5x right handed "holding a rifle" in various poses, and one with 1x left handed holding a rifle and a selection of alternative poses such as throwing a grenade, stabbing with a bayonet etc.

Renders anything in particular?

I did just realise I never actually shared these photos of the first complete resin models we assembled for SALUTE, at least not on Dakka.

Note some of these parts are WIP.

Ive worked out that on launch, there will be over 1000 unique combinations of different legs, torso, arms, head, optional shoulder pads and gun.

Eventually we will end up with tens of thousands of unique regiments combinations.

Man, I'd love to see those pieces reconfigured to "bomb disposal" .. which looks totally feasible. Is there any possible way that visor can be cast in clear resin? If not I think I'll try trimming some of the crystal clear press on nails I bought to use as canopies to fit.

Yeah - using the high collar torso and visor with the armoured arms and legs would get the most heavily armoured combination.

I'm afraid we wont be dabbling with clear resin visors anytime soon. It would be cool and is certainly technically possible, but would involve lot of trial and error we don't have time for right now. I'm planning to do a tutorial on various ways to paint the visor to look like reflective gloss/glass.

if you made your own clear visors they could fit on the PASGT with balaclava helmets (goggles, but no gas mask), I've not previewed these yet but they will be part of the first wave.
