Your incredibly talented then
also what codex do you use

I use Codex Space Marines. Crimson Templars are a crusading, fleet-based chapter, but are relatively codex compliant; although there are some divergencies Ultramarines would certainly frown upon.

I thought you would of used black templars and im never sure about what to call a black templar successor chapter

Crimson Templars were born when I wanted an Imperial Fists successor chapter that shared some visual elements with Black Templars, while being mostly a normal codex chapter (or at least followed some sort of discernible organisational pattern unlike the BT) . And as the most well known Imperial Fists successors were Black Templars and Crimson Fists, Crimson Templars made sense. I wonder if someone has made Black Fists? (When I first started to plan these guys it was before 5th ed marine codex, which actually contains one reference to a chapter called Crimson Templars.)

And there really cannot be BT successor chapters as they were not one of the original legions. I've never in the GW fluff seen a reference to successor of a successor. Even if the BT would give the new chapter gene-seed and training cadre*, the resulting chapter would be known as Imperial Fists successor, as that's the original source of the gene-seed.

(* This is not case for my Crimson Templars anyway, they're direct Imperial Fists successor.)

Most of these are not new, but I finally managed to take passable pictures of them.

Vindicator:

Devastators with Missile Launchers:

Same Devastators hiding behind a wall:

Drop Pod:

I need many more of these, but they're really annoying to paint.

And then some Imperial Guard:

Some WIP pics this time.

So apparently I'm supposed to put a cheap Inquisitor in my Devastator squad to buff it. I usually don't go for such power-combos, but this time it is a cheese flavour that I happen to like; Inquisitors are cool.

The inquisitor seems to blend in with his acolytes. Perhaps after you're done painting it he may stand out a lot more

Everything in this thread is incredible! The yellow details really bring the SM scheme to life, and the little Blache details on the Guardsmen (like the candles on the helmet, or the fur) takes the Cadians leagues beyond their boring origins. The true-scaling on the Marines is flawless, and you Inquisition allies are shaping up to be beautiful as well.

I can't say enough good things! Keep posting, please!

Oh my god! This thread is better than ever.

The marine squad is exquisite.

The primaris psyker has so much character. The paint job is brilliant.

Since inquisitors are right up my street I loved catching sight of him. Yours looks nails! The archaic weapon is a nice addition.

Whoo, the Knight is finally finished! It is an amazing kit , but quite time consuming; I got it on the release day and I finished it yesterday.

The weapons and the faceplate are magnetised.

I actually thought about the heraldry quite a bit, and chose to deviate from GW's standard pattern. The house crest is displayed on the left shoulder, on the banner and on the top of the carapace, whilst the shield is reserved for the personal heraldry. It just felt more correct to me this way; the medieval knights had their heraldry on their shields.

That knight is fantastic, I love the added scrollwork on the shoulderplates, and the I believe british lion? holding the chainsword is insanely sick. All your heraldry looks so cohesive and perfect. Kudos good sir.

Wow I don't know how I had missed this thread until now! Beautiful stuff. Love the marines, and the guardsmen are so great and so perfectly 40k. And I love the way the teal uniforms, crimson power armor, and yellow accents work together — the knight should be right at home.

Bare arms are from the Chaos Marauder Horsemen kit and the puffy sleeves from the Empire General kit (except the one with the shotgun who just has greenstuffed regular Scout arms.)
