I think you and I need to find a therapist or 12 step group!

I just preordered some of those sweet beastmen and Penal legion troops!
Now we wait for May/June.....

The only thing keeping me safe is that my bank account literally only has 20 bucks in it.

I have actually gotten onto her site and had to stop myself from placing orders.

I think I might have a problem...

What happened to the original Highland guard heads? Also, is there any estimate when we might see Highland guard in resin? I've been holding off purchasing as I much prefer resin to metal, so just curious if that is coming in the near future.

I don't think she makes anything that's not cool, RiTides!!!
I'm not the biggest fan if metal either, but I look at it like a small concession on my part.

I agree. I miss the original has mask heads. The new ones kind of look the same, which is the total opposite of what Victoria Miniatures are. I love the amount of character in each one. I have been getting lots of compliments on the older gas mask heads lately, and I really wish there was a way to order them.

Hi, interested in the gas mask head discussion, as I am currently reviewing these for resin production.
I'm assuming what people like better about the old ones is that some have hair, goggles etc.
I am intending to add those variants to the new ones. The new ones also have the tubes sitting out fro the heads. This makes them harder to cast, but I thought it was better.
Do you want the resin highlanders to has hats like the piper? or all be bareheaded?
Please share your thoughts and requests before the highlanders get sent Stateside for new resin casts.
Thanks.

The extra details (hair, etc) do help give them a little more character. Not as big a fan of the hat... Works on the piper, but the troopers are 'badder' without them.

I actually prefer the tighter air hoses as well... easier for posing.

I really enjoy the gas masks with the hair and extra details. I'm not sure if its easy to tell through an image, because I certainly didn't notice until I received the bits, but the head with the goggles on the forehead is really expressive. I put him with one of the grenade launcher arms, and he looks awesomely crazy with his eyebrow raised. As if he's saying "yous gonna get it." I think these would be great in resin and I would love to get my hands on some. I ordered them at the same time as the newer gas mask heads just to see which ones I liked better, and all of the new gas mask heads are sitting in my bits box and all of the old heads are on models. I apologize if this sounds overly critical, I am just trying to emphasize how much I like the old heads.

Although I don't have much to suggest on the highlander front, I've been using my infantry as Chaos Renegades. I love the Highlanders but just not sure they'd fit with me.

Wow, thanks for getting back on this so quickly! The new heads are cool, but I like the variety of the old heads. I will likely be using these for skirmish gaming, particularly Necromunda, so variety is really important for me. However, I think just about everyone would like the heads to have a little variation so they don't end up looking to similar even in larger armies.

Perhaps the full squad pack in resin could stay as the metal version is currently but just add the old heads as a separate conversion pack, or even offer two sets with each having the different head type as an option. I would also add that I do prefer the bare heads and not fond of the hats, so perhaps best left just to the piper.

Thanks again for addressing my questions, and I appreciate you taking the time to ask for our feedback. Count me in for a set and some extras as soon as these go resin!

Hi, Due to popular demand, the trench raider arms from the Beastman Squad are now available as a separate set. These are great for human cultists, gangers and assault troops. Check them out here: http://victoriaminiatures.highwire.com/product/trench-raider-arms

The variation between the individuals granted by the hair, goggles etc. really helps give the models character, so I'd be very much in favour of adding those.

The new style of heads, with the tubes sticking out, are awesome.

The piper's hat is fun, but I'd like a variation with a gasmask (presumably with some sort of adaptor!) as he seems to stick out from the unit without one. Alternatively, a couple of heads without gasmasks, or another with a tam o'shanter would help him fit in.

Any thoughts on hooded heads, Vic? It struck me that heads with similar piped respirators, goggles, bionics and hoods would be a cool addition to the range. They'd tap into the current Steampunk trend and be great for cultists and Adeptus Mechanicus conversions.

Hell, make a robed skitarii regiment and you'll have open access to my savings account!

Nice, Vic. Pith Helmeted variation soon as well?

On the piper hat question, what about adding a couple of/a few additional heads to the sprue with Balmorals? Alternately, create a second Highlander regiment without gas masks who all wear Balmorals, and modify a gas-mask head to a new piper head for the existing regiment - you could do something with the breathing tubes!

I could see buying both types. Having a retro-WW2 Highlander platoon with balmorals (no gas masks) - (maybe a new backpack design?) fighting alongside their brethren who are kitted out with the gas masks and chem-gear.

I think the original highland guard heads set has a lot of interest due to its versatility, like mentioned they have a lot of character and make great gangers which is even more important now

I think the gas masked head with hat could be a separate head set option, could you do a one of sculpt to show ?
Also an alternative back pack set would be a great idea, this would work well for the other units as well.

I can't believe you just released the Tannenburg palace guard set after my order has arrived guess it will be added to my to buy list.

I just want to say the Trench Raiders are AMAZING really impressed Vic takes it to another level the torsos are a nice touch and could be used elsewhere hint hint but the detail and overall look of these are spot on, they keep the traditional feel but with a more realistic look and the options of the kit is great.

I just wanted to chime in to say that your Sci-Fi infantry kits are excellent. Uniform, but with a ton of character and enough hobbyist agency to allow modelers to make their units their own.

I was wondering with the trenchers any chance of getting a super sized version ? You know to use as an ogre stand in.

Also hooded type troops would be a fantastic add to the range maybe with a WW2 British style uniform maybe.
