I was wondering with the trenchers any chance of getting a super sized version ? You know to use as an ogre stand in.

Also hooded type troops would be a fantastic add to the range maybe with a WW2 British style uniform maybe.

I am currently reworking the Border World Rangers for resin, so a hooded version could be well on the cards.

Ok, you got me, are you talking about an ogryn sized beastman? ie sci-fi minotaur type? if so you might have sparked an idea I really like

Oh yeah!

I'll be down for that. In fact, I'd be down for an ogre-sized beastman as well as sci-fi ogres. Might just be a head swap between the two types, potentially?

Especially if the Minotauren (you can use that if you like!) have similar heads to the Broo, rather than going for cow-heads. It'd make them even more unique.

Some kind of automatic shotguns would complete them nicely. Something like an AA-12 perhaps?

The only good-looking Ripper Gun GW ever produced, was the one that Bob Olley used back in the 1991 era. The later ones looked more like grenade launchers, and rather ridiculous. The original/Olley one actually looked like it could be a real weapon.

That was the intention I was thinking more an ogre sized Beastman kind of makes sense that there should be a larger sized version, yes kind of like a Minotaur but keeping the Beastman look you have created.

Glad to here that some sac heads are in the works means I might be able to produce some SP henchman

It would be great if they had a "Victorian" style to them. Pith helmets maybe? Oh yeah, I can see getting a squad or 3 of those.

I'd rather see them with the established sci-fi-military "trencher" style of the Broo.

I might be wrong but I have a hunch that the Ogryns and Ratlings will be gone from the next Guard Codex, they seem more fanciful and characterful than the current direction the guard seem to be taking. And I believe neither have appeared in finecast.

For what it's worth, it wouldn't worry me - I'd still buy yours (long before an IG codex comes out, as well). I could see Ratlings disappearing before Ogryns, but it also depends a little on whether they stay true to the "we won't remove any more troop types or armies" mantra they had a few years ago.

The Relic game by FFG only just came out, and still features both an Ogryn and a Ratling. Besides, Ogryns will allow them to sell an expensive 3-figure kit of monstrous infantry for IG.

Ogryn have been around forever, I doubt GW would drop them; I think the reason they, and many other things haven't been updated can be attributed to their new release cycle more than anything else, there's no time for a model wave when there's a new army update every month.

Ratlings were also updated not that long ago, one of the last metal sculpts GW did. They may decide they don't fit the theme anymore (Like Pariahs getting canned from Necrons) at which point I will be thuroughly dissapointed.

The problem from your perspective Vic, if GW dropped ratlings, the rules would dissapear as well, in theory. So you could undoubtedly work your magic on a halfling sniper, and it would undoubtedly be awesome, but with no demand from Guard players, since the model no longer technically exists, would it do well? Same applies to Ogryn.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

Of course, but there's been no sign of either being dropped beyond a "hunch" that Vic has. The next IG codex has got to be some time away as well.

Ironically, a halfling sniper would be easier to keep in an IG army than an Ogre, since there will undoubtedly be human snipers in forthcoming IG forces anyway...

Well I've had Rihanna's Rude Boy stuck in my head for a week, so we'll just call it even.

I do understand the concern however I buy your models for the simple fact that they are AMAZING, plus I don't play so could not give a dam what GW drop as I am trying my best to drop GW.

Plus don't you have plans to to create your own game format eventually ? I was sure you mentioned a possibility of this happening, hell I would probably give that ago my self

Same here, though ogres in pith helmets is certainly a cool concept I just feel that sci-fi trencher ogres/minotaurs(hopefully minotaurs) is a more unique concept and would fit into the current range of assault troops better.

Thanks, I am pretty chuffed with how that squad turned out.
Next in line for the same resin treatment are Border World Rangers http://victoriaminiatures.highwire.com/product/scout-complete-10-man-squad . Improvements will include, cloaks and torsos as one piece, pockets added to trousers to make them more like combat pants and a heavy flamer specialist.
Let me know what else you would like to see; ie; more head choices? more beards? piper option? combat knives instead of bayonets? etc.
Many thanks for your feedback, V.

For such a characterful regiment, more heads can always be useful and very good for individualising your figures, so that they match the picture you might have in your mind's eye of the individual characters in your force. I know you already have 10 heads in the set, but I guess it would be about making it easier to pick out the characters you might want to have while also maintaining enough others for the faceless grunts in your regiment. Berets and hooded heads would be great for the latter especially, with a mix of facial hair.

Please also allow some separate torsos and cloaks (half of the squad?) - with metal they might be a pain to glue, but with resin there's not the weight/fragility issue, and extra modularity is always an appreciated option when making a force with individual characters.

Perhaps a pair or two of modular arms, so that we can swap in custom "special" weapons from other manufacturers (like Anvil) during the current time where you don't have all that many options available for alternative weapons. A pair of kneeling legs can also work well - it can be a scout, a sniper, a heavy weapons crew.

I'd also like to see female body types and some bigger guys, but I understand that they might be more of a niche product that can fit in later to the existing regiment release(s).

I got my Penal squad the other day (I thought I had posted it here ?) Anyway it is a truly great set indeed

The casting quality is first class little flash to none, the options in the set are quite amazing so repartition will be limited or unnoticeable.

I have to say I thought this was just going to be a reissue of original parts in resin, how wrong was I most of the pieces have been altered or redesigned and crammed with detail .

I would have posted a pic but my camera battery is dead as a Dodo, but I am truly impressed with the quality and detail of this kit.

I have to agree a beret and hooded set for this range would be very appreciated and most useful, I also like the idea of kneeling leg pose with a sniper rifle that would be a great pose to add to this set, although I would love to see a set of legs in a sniper sitting and prone as pose well.

As mentioned above concerning the female and heavy body types could you not release a character set for each regiment maybe ? By this I mean a set of 4 to 5 miniatures which contain parts to build 2/3 females and to larger or smaller characters, I know this would be a lot of work but would at some diversity to the regiments without having to build complete sets for each regiment.

Although I would still love to see a complete female only regiment in the future.

MY turn!
My penal squad and trench raiders made it today! I'll echo what everyone else has said about how
freakin amazing they are, and also add the seperate blister packaging for the whole squad was a fantastic idea!
They don't get a broken up rattling around. My package also had a lot of metal in it and the package didn't have
a single dent. Not to mention how well your items arrive packaged anyway.
Thanks vic!
