Uhm, I don't think that FW make female DKK? If I'm wrong, show me and I'll happily be happy!

The difference between male and female trenchers/Death Corp/greatcoat would be pretty negligible I think. It's already pretty slight in body armor- with a voluminous coat I'm not quite sure what a person could even do to feminize them, other than the old exposed head method.

Edit: I just did some searching for greatcoat pics, Im going to correct myself. I think a thinner waist would do the trick. There's some examples out there, WW2 auxiliaries and such. I thought I had zero need for female greatcoats but now I might be able to squeeze them into a project.

Generally speaking, they'd have bigger hips relative to body size, and//or be more stocky overall due to body armour going over said hips and breasts.

I guess that i've seen 3rd party manufacturer that produces female Kriegsche. and it is the same that makes Space Marines Rhino upgrades.

If Vic releases great coat legs compatible with her female range, I will have to break and start a army already!

Can you PM me the company if you're not willing to post publicly? The companies I'm aware of that make Rhino upgrades don't do female Death Korps.

Do Krieg Regiments even have female Guardsmen? What with all their eugenics programs and massive recruitment drive, it wouldn't surprise me if only males were selected during reproduction for Guardsmen stock, and females only used as Guardsmen-producing machines, seeing as Krieg basically uses people as machinery.

Personally I would prefer it if Vic worked on trenchcoat wearing minis next... (totally not biased view of a Steel Legion player...).

The background of the Death Korps heavily implies that the batches of soldiers are created through more heretical means dating back to the Dark Age of Technology, along the lines of cloning or artificial vitae-wombs, which is about the only way Krieg could gak out so many bodies at any given time.

Sure, if you like them to all run around like the hills are alive and striking mad poses at the Remembrancers.

Not really though, they look nothing like the troops of Krieg. Unless you count "zey haf zee german helmets und gasmasken" as close enough.

Yeah I've read about this "Vitae Womb" thing, which I imagine as a sort of extreme IVF, but it wouldn't surprise me if they used all available methods of human reproduction, what with Krieg basically being a Guardsmen farm.

Rather flimsy if you ask me.

They look nothing alike. In the one corner we have low-tech Germans in Spaaaaaaaace! who look like they belong in the trenches and in the other we have ballerina soldiers who throw their selves into extreme poses while carrying futuristic high-tech gear.

Well, vitae-womb sounds nicer than what some of the more hard-line fluff nazis have been preaching, which is the mass rape of the women because otherwise they won't hit their set quota in a decade or so. Yuck. It may be grim dark and all that, but there are some moral event horizon's that people are a little too eager to cross to get into that dark and edgy territory to separate the boys from the men.

Anyway, back on topic, buy more kits from this company, it enriches your life!

Actually, in one corner we have Low Tech French in Spaaaace!!! and in the other we have Germanic ballerinas who look like they're Victoria Secret models in fetish gear.

The guns:

FW's Volkite Chargers, sadly not as nicely detailed or formed as the ones found in the Veletaris squad, the spare of which fitted nicely with Vic's vanilla arms:

But, beggars can't be choosers, it was £11.50 for just the guns along a squad of multi-pose Arcadians with lovely Statuesque heads, or £40.00 for a lovely, but ultimately mono-pose squad. I'm not that fond of running duplicates in my army when it comes to infantry.

Still, hobby nirvana in my eyes, bringing together the bits and kits of three different companies.

It was not my best true...however im of the firm opinion that on a planet full of gas mask wearing deathtroops...some of them might look a bit different. Maybe those girls were form the ...french...part of the panet. eh ..eh ...

or not

Anyway your conversions like ace though the heads seem a tad large. Were the heads vic supplied weird against gw's troops?

They're only weird if you assume everything should be the size of the Cadian head w/helm (they're massively boofheaded)

Uniformity is knda the point of the Death Korps, it's probably the main reason why I didn't go for 3rd party models

So I'm doing a quick survey (and can follow with pictures later) for V.

If there's a tracked vehicle that fits onto a 60mm base, how many of you are interested in it as an alternative to a Heavy Weapons Team, or a Sentinel?

It would have part options to mount all of the heavy weapons, including the mortar. It may also have diorama possibilities with something you guys will see around the 6th or 7th of July...

Make it so it mounts 4 laser cannons or 4 heavy bolters. Then make a quad mortor option for it and I'll be all over that. (If just the existing heavy mortor that's alright too.)

Definitely give it a separate 'base' (i.e. the tracked hull) with some generic mounting hole/plate to potentially fit a variety of turrets and artillery weapons (and radar dishes, recovery cranes, fuel tanks, etc etc).

And give a few detail options so that squadrons of them don't all look the same.

I'd probably use it as a Rapier, as mentioned above myself. If the mount itself is shine enough then it shouldn't be too hard to convert or track down the parts needed (quad multi-laser and quad lascannon) to turn it into a proper Rapier though.

But myessss, interested I am!

Or the generic mounting plate could be used to mount, say, humanoid torsos for making weapon cyborgs...

Ooh, also, what kind of crew will go alongside these? Or will it just be gun tractors in general?

Well what I've got kicking around has a fully enclosed "drivers" area. As for what crew could go on it, well, V has a good mix of parts and might add others specifically for it.

I dunno, maybe some cold weather great coats for the first set?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Oh, also, currently on one "rear end type" (it's a swappable piece) the current "guns" will fit, on the "flatbed" type the heavy mortar will fit (or so will ammo crates - hint hint) or most things you'd want to put on.

It's not beyond the realm of possibility for me to throw up a third 'bed' style that would be a purpose mount for things like Quad-this-and-thats.

Or one with a small dedicated AA gun or... well really, it's endless as to what can go on it so long as it can fit on a 60mm base and not take up the entire thing.

This /is/ me we're talking about here...

I am going to put in a vote of interest for a quad-barrelled version too. I wouldn't have much use for one in addition to the heavy weapon models already available, but that would all shift with quad weaponry...
