Lol, sorry man. My 3D printer moved and things got stalled while he set up shop again.

The Jovian Hammers should be out by August 1st and a new roll call will be very close behind.

What are these Jovian Hammers of which you speak?

Love this render!

Agree with LDD, this is what the new Ogryns SHOULD have looked like...

Nah, my first thought was Gears of War. That's totally Marcus Fenix. You're making meat men! Will there be armored variants?

If there is enough demand for close combat options, I'll do them.

I hope they at least get chainsaw bayonets on their guns. These look like they're going to be awfully tempting.

These are Mad Robot's answer to space ogres.

Although something along the lines you describe may be in the works...

Are the jovian hammers going to be catachan sized or ogryn sized?

The Nerd sits patiently, waiting, watching, biding his time in the shadows leeching the excitement and joy from MadRobots releases until he grow strong enough to return. The models sing to him even though he turned his back on guard what seemed an age ago but his strength is growing and the ideas are slowly forming faster and faster in his head.

Muted greens are becoming the spots in front of his eyes and dirt, leaves and mud appear to be the way to bring life to the spark inside him fanned by the fires of that dark future of war....

That looks really cool, but the forearm muscle doesn't really twist like that unless the hand is goosenecked like a bodybuilder does when posing. In that specific pose the forearm muscles would still be pretty straight. Most people probably wouldn't notice or care but for the sake of being thorough I feel the need to point it out.
I also would love to see some sort of CC options.. particularly some form of small and large shields. I wouldn't care if I had to buy them separately, in fact, making the hands separate so we can magnetize if we want could be really cool.

Sorry for the unsolicited critique again.. I'm happy you're doing what you do.

Mike, these aren't humans. These are human descendants that have evolved on a planet that was long undiscovered. It is a planet of high gravity that caused these beings to mutate over a number of generations, resulting in a musculature that only retains a superficial similarity to a standard human. They have also grown much larger, taller; resulting in an average height of around 9 feet.

So, yes, they aren't going to look exactly like a human would.

I like how this equates to a stocky build with increased muscle mass rather than GeeDubs pot bellied.beer gutted attempts. Reminds me of the original Ogryns that Bob Olley sculpted.
Just need some oversized grav chutes so they can be Elysian drop compatible....

I agree with M Law. I demand anatomical perfection from my 28mm plastic space mutants. I demand no less than scientifically rigorous studies on the effects of spening tens of thousands of years on high gravity planets. It's expensive and unreasonable, but it's what M Law and I expect.

It's an ugly planet. A bug planet.

Steve, I understand what you're saying.. as an artist that's driving me nuts though. I'll probably just end up greenstuffing over it I guess. What about the idea of making the hands changeable though?

I think handwaving anatomical issues away as "they are space Ogres...so they look like burly humans with specifically incorrect forearm anatomy" is a bit lazy. It's obviously a lack of knowledge on the part of the sculptor and not a design choice.

They look solid though otherwise. Not for me, I like a little more brutish goofiness if I was to go with Ogryns.

Will be ordering some greatcoat arms and more guns soon though.
