My guess is the actual commissar hand sits in the boxy section, and the actual "hand" is all mechanical in nature, so if it is some how lopped off, he ditches it and still has his real hand

The arms do seem off. but the kit looks great.
And something a little snip snip cant fix.
You're not all that familiar with GW's Cadians are you? They have some really messed up "heroic" proportions, really short chests, long ape arms, massive heads and hands.
Given that the MR stuff fits Cadians so well and the attention to detail he has, I'd say if the proportions are odd it's probably a direct reflection of GW's bizzaro ape man anatomy.
If MR did realistic proportions people would be complaining they look too small and out of place next to their guard models, it's the GW ape men that are ugly as sin.
Even the FW stuff has really long arms (it's better than GW's plastic but not by much)
Or Yarrick who can scratch his ankle without even leaning to the side

Paulson Games parts are now at:
www.RedDogMinis.com
I just went on their site for the first time, and I kinda like the potential of using a combo of tribal legs, mohawk heads, and CDF legs with a selection of ranged and hand weapons to make a Goliath squad for Necromunda! Orlocks and Delaque would be both be easy to make, too. Juves would be an issue, bit still, some awesome potential.

cool Some more cool things along those lines are coming soon.
Yeah, it just struck me that the greaves for the CDF legs and the tribal torsos really gave me a Goliath vibe, even if the figures would be a tad weedy for Goliaths, they are still the next best thing to paying overpriced Ebay prices for the original metals.

Those heads would also make great officer heads for a list of minis! Dreamforge Eisenkern officers, and a host of others!

Awesome work! Still loving the camo...tunnel rats...perhaps we can do something later this year.
Thanks, glad you like them.
I think Tunnel Rats shouldn't be too difficult to do. For the most part, the pieces already exist. I think we'd just need some straightened arms that can accept the already existing las pistol hands, some close combat hands holding knives, and a combat light that can be glued on somewhere. To take it the extra mile, some plain short sleeved t-shirts and arms would also work well.
If you can put up with all the gaps, the sedition war bodies could be suitable Van Saar bodies. I can't remember if they're heroic scale or not though.. so these heads might be oversized on them. You could easily hodge-podge some smooth armor together from tons of different companies to get a convincing Van Saar suit though.. I think Spell Crow might even have chest pieces that are close to the right aesthetic.
Samaritans are actually the normal scale for the 25-28mm range and look kinda youth-ful (juvie, but their helmet heads do not meet the heroic scale.
