Hi all

Going to be attending the 40k UK doubles tournament this year and need to do some objective marker to fit in with my Slaanesh daemons army.
I’ve only ever done objectives for IG before and they were easy to come up with, (fuel drums and ammo boxes) but I’m having a tough time coming up with ideas for markers that will be obvious as objectives, but are also themed to my daemons.

Any and all ideas very welcome and much appreciated.

Well if you want to go PG without insulting anyone(some people find anything sexual in refference insulting) I would go with small imperial shrine, or slaaneshi shrines.

I just had an epiphany whilst in the shower here it is.
Opened Condom wrappers, anyone who is prissy about their models wont put their models within a foot of it, as it is most people wont put models into base contact with it for fear of touching it. If you are a neckbeard or obscenely young the other player will be completely confused and on his heels.

Note: Do not use used condoms that is just disgusting

On a more PG level I'd assume treasure such as gems and gold would work well as well as some fancy looking wine bottles.

Maybe an elaborate shrine adorned with silk and gold chains? Something to illustrate excess to the full, not just sexual imagery.

Extra CSM banner toppers would work and not actually offend anyone.

However, several of the suggestions in this thread sound fine for friendly guy-night gaming!

Maybe those mini-liquor bottles that you find in hotel room refridgerators? Full, or empty..

How about full ones that get progressively empty when/if you start losing?

Though the CSM model works, as well as possibly some Grey Knights, or Sisters of battle

How come nobody has mentioned dead Eldar at all? After all, in the Daemon codex it is discussed that Slaanesh was born from the Eldar's hedonistic ways. Get a few Eldar corpses, or a pile of soul-stones and you should be set-it's fluffy, and you can potentially make it as gruesome or non-PG as you want. Go wild.

I like the ideas presented so far: The DE slave girls together on one base, Eldar captives or wounded, and maybe a base of crates marked "Medical supplies" or "Pain killers." Perhaps a sumptuous banquet? There are many forms of excess beyond the sexual. You could go with a pile of instruments (like noise marines) or even a pile of gold and jewels.

I’ve only done IG markers before and they’re a little more obvious, so appreciate your comments.

Here’s a better (but not great) pic of the CSM, he has a wound in his chest and is dead or dying.
As he has captured the icon before meeting his end, his comrades are presumably on their way to his location to retrieve it.

That makes a LOT more sense and I like it a lot better.

Have you started painting your noise marines? Would love to see pictures if you have. Also feel free to check out the images I have uploaded of my Noise Marines so far. (I am currently reworking my paint scheme. The new paint scheme is what is posted)

My mate’s doing our marines at the moment but I’ll be putting pics of the whole thing daemon/CSM army in the Army Profile section when we’re done.
I’ve looked at your pics, very impressive. I do prefer the full purple armour of the Emperors Children look over the pink n black look.

I made a few objectives out of left over chaos banners from the Daemon army box. On each of them I put an infantry model lying down and made the banner rise out of the chest or back.

I'm at work right now, when I get home I'll get some pictures posted here.

The "slave" and "prisoner" models.

Reaper has a great selection of treasures and stuff.

The "Slave" model from Vects old ride fits perfectly inside the plastic cage from the WHFB Giant.

You'd need to spice em up with some tentacles - there's nice bits in the Dark Eldar Talos Box for that.
