Here is the finished dreadnought banner:



Used an Empire greatswords banner, sculpted the scarab and the gems on rope with milliput, and ofcourse on top of the banner is a Tomb Kings command squad bit IIRC.

Beatiful! I love the cleanliness of your painting style!! Truly sublime.

Got 2 Rhino's to finish/revamp, and then all that's left is the centerpiece of this army: The Forgefiend!

For the 3rd and last rhino, I'm making a new havoc launcher.
Thought the current one was a little too boxy and lacked detail. Removed it from the transport, and this is what it looks like right now:

Still thinking how I want the missiles looking. Either them sticking out a little, or just the barrels showing.. hmmm.

How big is it? Seems more like a cool Whirlwind turret then a Havok.

It is pretty large, yes. I just dont like the flimsy 6 barrels of a standard havoc launcher.

The Rhino I made it for has a raised top, so it looks slightly less oversized with it IMO.

The havoc launcher spot will be placed a little more to the front. Hatch will not be replaced, instead I'm gonna make some viewports on the side of the raised hull.

@Payne: Thanks! finished building the viewports and added them, and must say: they really compliment the tank!

@Panther: Thanks mate! Whole army photo is always difficult for me. Most of the time I try to get a picture made at the Grand Tournament. Let's see if I can get a decent one before the tourney begins.

Anyway on to the pictures. Gave the rhino's dozer blade a fresh new paintjob for most of the parts (the white parts weren't touched)

And last but not least a scratchbuilt new frontplate for the same rhino (which is already added though):

I like the changes! I like having metal look like metal, so removing the blue edge lines I think makes it look more realistic (for a fictitious space tank...). I also like the change on the arrows as it ties in the colors really well.

But what I'm also impressed with is the white! How did you get it so smooth? That is very clean, and necessary for it not to look sloppy (mine often look sloppy).

Hey guys, I have a little announcement. Thousand Sons are on a hold for now. As we are not attending the Dutch Grand Tournament with our gaming group this year. (Nothing bad happened btw, it's just that we weren't looking forward to it when the rules for the tourney came out in August).

So with that being said, I shelved the Thousand Sons for an unknown period. But that means I am going to make other stuff during the TS Hiatus.

As the title says right now: Impy Fists.
I still had the Tactical Squad from Dark Vengeange lying around. removed all the DA iconography and started paitning. Here is what I came up with so far, still need to do some freehands on the shoulderpads and knees:



I can say I'm pretty happy with the result. Yellow is great colour to paint, and pretty easy with the new paints around, also played around with a little battle damage.

I also dug up an old Land Speeder I found at my parents house. With some plating added I don't need to explain what kind of pattern this one is going to be :p

Awesome. man! Too bad about the GT (and no army photo...jk) but I love it that you are moving on to something new! The tactical marine looks awesome--very clean, but with battle damage, as you said.
