Hey there. I live in b'ham at the moment, but am going to be going to uni in sheffield from this september onwards (have been already for a year or two, but had to stop this year for medical reasons).

Firstly, I'm looking for wargaming clubs in the area with an active 40k community. Doubly interested if the clubs also play board games. Triply interested if they have people actively playing battlefleet gothic or infinity.

Also, on the battlefleet gothic and infinity fronts - I really want to try out these games. If clubs local to me don't play them much I'd still be interested in finding nearby players. I want to know I'd actually get a game before investing too much in miniatures.

Dreamdealers in Coventry regularly runs 40k and has some (mainly lurking) infinity players.

I also know BCRP in the centre of brum runs quite regularly but I have no idea on nights etc. it might be worth your while popping into both waylands forge and GW Birmingham and checking the noticeboards for local clubs.

there is a gaming forum for Coventry gamers which deals with clubs in and around Coventry which includes the odd club close to or in Birmingham as well.

October Wargames is in central Birmingam with a active 40k group, active board game players (and a board games designer) and while BFG may not activley be played there are many that love it and can teach you.

Hi, I'm from Sheffield but It's likely that I'll be moving away next year as I'm going to university. I'm pretty certain that there are a couple of clubs, but I've not been to them before and so can't name them off the top of my head. However, there is a store in the city centre called Wargames Emporium in the centre of the city and the guys there are really nice and would be happy to help you out. If i don't end up going to university this year then you can probably expect to see me in some of the gaming clubs from time to time. Hope this helps.

Well it seems I shall also have to seek out one of these Birmingham based clubs at some point, not played properly in a while mostly just been painting and modelling, and I'm not too sure about playing in the central store much as they seem to want me to.

I help run a club in sheffield that meets on first 3 fridays every month we play 40k/fantasy/lotr/dreadfleet and other tabletop games. we range in age from 12 to 40+ we are very friendly and just enjoy playing any type of game. check us out at http://www.steelcitywargames.co.uk/ we welcome all abilities from novice to expert we even have an area where you can just relax and chat or paint what ever you want no pressure.

Hey. I’ve recently moved to Acocks Green. I’ve seen your club advertised when I’ve done google searches. What the score?
I’m Luke, 30. Been playing 40K for... years. Loving 6th. I’ve got 10K+ of Tyranids. Probably 10K of Guard. About 15K of Chaos (mainly Nurgle). Also about 6/10K of Crimson Fists & 2K of Eldar i’m looking after while my friend is on a tour of duty.

I’ve got a group of about 8 of us that play quite regularly anyways. Usually in our homes. Just thought I’d see what the rest of the community had to offer.
