Awesome weekend, really enjoyed meeting and playing you all. I am looking forward to March. Especially after teaching Slaanesh super heavies not to mess with fire dragons

Thanks for a quality weekends gaming. Some of my personal highlights were;
An Ork Nob brought down a bastion with his Power Klaw killing half of the occupants and opening up a warprift.
The TH/SS Terminator who Death or gloried my Death rolla Battle wagon, he laughed off 5 S10 hits and pounded my wagon to bits.
And my favourite was when the combined fire of a squad of Lootas and a Dakka jet killed an Eldar Titan!
I can’t wait for the next event.

Great weekend - enjoyed every battle I had

Highlights :-

Ewoks Killing ratlings and necrons
Some mental Ork Nob finishing off my A Mech Facility with his fist....
Pedro Kantor taking a Leman Russ shell to the Face (oddly he stopped breathing shorty afterwards...)
Showing the RavenWing and DeathWing of the DA not to mess with the might of the IG tank line, soo many dead and dying units, it was joyful!
(oh, killing some space marine vampires that weren't invited to the party)

Cant wait for March, to battle against familiar faces and hopeful for some new ones!

Commisar lord surviving a round of duelling against belial (sp?)
the screams of hatred at the little furry bastards lol
the sight of all those models set up for the apop game

Only bad point of the weekend for me being i was having so much fun i forgot to take more photos lol

Hope to see you in March BigNick, especially as the Orks will be playing a major role (It is Ullanor after all).

Thanks dude. I don't know whether I should be apologising for the Reign of Terror on the Deathworld Rendor! Who would have thought a bunch of care bears with rocks and sticks could do so much damage!

Pah, Crimson Fists will always be the second sons (even thought you won!) Vladimir Pugh went head to head with the Stompa up our end and pummelled it to bits with his double power fists! He must have taken his eye of the ball though when he heard somebody at the back of the room compliment him on how well painted he was, as he didn't duck the shrapnel from the apocalyptic explosion he caused and died... horribly!

Highlights...

People came, yay. Thank you!
Seeing all the cool armies folks brought to the Discordia System (It looked like a game of Epic from the table ends), awesome!
Smashing things with my Imperial Fists (usually just Sar Mikael but this time a few other folk too).

Lowlight...

Sitting on the A617 on sunday morning behind some ridiculous police escorted farm equipment! Only an hour or so late!

Thanks again guys for coming and for the positive comments!

Hummmm i now see how the guard can still keep fighting they have a twisted way of viewing the world, they had 3 rounds of shooting wiping out some tanks and wounding dreads killing sammel but only killed a total of 23 termy of the 60 i fielded the rest were in their lines it was just a matter of time.

Highlights for the DA

1) Well a cheeky deff roller tried running over a squad of termys with an epic fail with no wounds scored

2) A terminator sergent with a storm shield putting Typhus to sleep in a challenge (with the aid of Typhus deamonweapon and a perils of the warp, Typhus didnt have the best day to be honest.)

but they do say the EMPEROR PROTECTS.

3) Watching a titan go down to a squad of termys who deep struck in cycloned it took the full force of its fire power then proceeded to clip its toe nails which broke it.

low points

1) watching Belial fail to kill a comissar lord in a challenge with his thunder hammer.

2) watching my heroic charge at the Tau held objective with Two thunder hammer terminators (one was an apoth) come to nothing as they were taken down by a single squad of fire warriors,

3) watching my poor def roller/ titan hunting uber termy, get atomized by some D cannon weilding super heavy ( he was next on his list right enough )

But what can i say about the week end .......a class, epic way to spend my time and to all those that didnt make it well it was trully your loss, not ours.

ill miss the next one as im out of the country with work but will def be at the one after.

great job Scotty a great effort for a first go now you just have to try to improve it which wont be easy

Oh yes im still sorry about pedro.

Id also like to thank Tim from Maunsfield Games for his friendly help and assistance during the weekend and use of the great facility that we will hopfuly continue to use for these narative campains.

He should also refrain from wearing baggy hoodies when playing with other peoples mini's!

Don't worry Martin, he's fixed... missing a Deathwatch shoulder pad but that is all.

3rd event will be 27th and 28th of July and is another 40k event.

Check this out for some of July's associated madness! http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/483676.page

I've confirmed with Tim, their is no clash with their 40k doubles weekend so the next Animosity Campaign Weekend, Animosity - In the Age of the Emperor, will take place on the 30th and 31st of March!

I'll work on the campaign pack over the Christmas period and hopefully have a decent/finalised pack ready for the new year!

Some thoughts for improving on the weekend...

If you guys can help me out with some feedback to the following that would be much appreciated!

1 - i'm considering making the flyer game 1000 pts, 50 percent of which must be flyer/skimmer/jetbike/jump and 50 percent regular force org... May be better for players? Will be an extremely long table though and, much like an apocalypse game, all in!

2 - would you prefer a large apocalypse game, starting saturday and continuing into sunday, or smaller games and an apocalypse, with more structure than the discordia confusion, on the sunday! (Maybe set up saturday evening or even started) There will definitely need to be a strict turn time limit next time too to ensure we rattle through! Or just a large game, 3 to 4k max?

3 - i've got no problem with people using counts as codex' for their force, eg grey knights for custodes, sisters for sister of silence, blood angels for world eaters etc! Since tempus fugitves have produced and are producing rules for the legions i'd hope evrybody could download it and use that though, has anybody got any strong feelings about this issue? Doesn't bother me like, I'll be playing as orks either way.

Have a think anyway dudes, the weekends will be even better if folk can help me develop them like this and iron out some of the logistical issues!

I quiet like the current Flyer game as it is.... but i do have a list sorted for that.

3 games sat and one game sunday, maybe with 2 alternative games for players that dont like or want to do apocalypse?

I like the idea too, maybe more than 50 percent flyers than! Or optional force for those that want to foot slog it!

Defo need to limit saturday as the kill team game made everything a push and the knock on effects caused havoc with timings! So 3 game max!

Suppose if you have a longer board it forces people to have fast attacks just to get to play? Maybe just attackers need fast attack and orks whatever?

Might be worth testing that with a game.... I am based in Notts if anyone wants to PM for a test game?

Defo something to consider!
