The White Scars are featured in the latest Garro tail. They are extremely over-mongolian steroetype accents and when you hear it, very distinctly different and over the top in comparison to Kharns. The best thing is that the same voice actor plays Kharn in the 40k audio story too, continuity is good.

Read Betrayer last month, very good (ADM is awesome) and he describes Kharn with a regular non-bunnyears lid too. I reckon FW will remove them if they get round to a 30k version too.

I have to admit I like the above

The current model fine cast painted to a high standard and losing the bare arms and a skull or 2 wouldn't be to far from it.

in fairness mark, the kharn you have made looks pretty good, we just need to give it a decent paint job and he should look awesome,
Nick i have a fair few forgeworld goodies to play with, luckily any time i get presents for xmas or birthday my other half always gets me FW stuff
Really want to get the FW stompa but that might have to wait for the next ork game i suspect,

Lucky you, I love the FW models but would need to sell my soul to be able to afford that Stompa.
Model envy, is a terrible thing!

Maybe I/we should give him bunny ears too!

That BL image is rather nasty, but is it really kharn

Nick & Matt - I would not worry about FW models, they will be devoured by the might of the legions

When you say "might of the legions" all I hear is, a plentiful supply of luxury tinned food!

lol ah the bickering between sides marvelous,

I am just trying to work out if i am actually going to be able to use some of the FW stuff, need to make sure i am only painting stuff i actually need as it were
Trouble is every time i look at a FW model i think 'i need to include that as its awesome' so the army takes on a bit of an odd shape lol
I absolutely have to try and fit the lifta droppa into as many lists as i can, the model is epic and the rules are wonderfully old school ork!

Being the only Imperial voice atm, I feeling the need to be arrogant to maintain some confidence

Who else is letting the models rules they army lists?

He has a vast 40k army (Salamanders) but I'm not sure how they or he will cope with the change to AOTE.
I feel a little undecided about him not using the correct marks of armour, so I might split my Orks with him with a painting push we should have 10k plus points to choose from.
What are people’s thoughts on the matter?

I & Matt wouldnt have any issue with it - there dont have proven mettle rules (scott can correct me if i am wrong) for unit with the "correct" armour anymore. All my WE are mostly anvil bodies and parts from other suppliers

plus of all the legions salamanders would be the most up to date & look at Kharn above, his in MK7 armour...

Anyhow that my thoughts

It wouldn't bother me at all. As long as they are (which they are) a first founding legion I'm not going to push anybody to field FW etc. If I played Imperial fists I'de be using almost exclusively 40k mk armour and most of my World Eaters are taken from the plastic assault squad kits anyway. As long as you can fit them into the AotE force org and squads etc then I can't see it being an issue mate.

Cool, that’s something to consider then, typically though the Salamanders are the only chapter in the AOTE expansion who haven’t had their section updated.

Also, i haven't begun to canvas for players in the same way as i did for discordia at the moment. A few days and i'll be going hell for stressed out leather again like last time!

Alright, I'm posting! Ha ha, yup I wanna to take part, just don't want to get too excited and not get the models like what happened last time! Also cause my emperors children are part chaotic what itheextent to which I can use chaos stuff? Granted no daemons- but what about the hell blades?

Im open to the idea if you paint of the curly slaanesh symbols! Mainly because i have okay'd a mix of fw rules with the tf flyers for others! Maybe check the rules for the imperial fighters and see if there is anything you can use to 'count as' such as thunderbolts etc with similar autocannon load outs rather than using the hellblade stats! Also, since you have an awesome storm eagle, you won't be looking at a massive amount of points to make the minimum anywho! Remember also that if you choose to take da allies for later on, you can use them and their shiny newness as well as existing skimmers to make up any potential short fall!

also Nick, the Salamanders have a small update in the TF rules now... no Primarch yet but some specifics for rigid force org etc!

I can't claim the credit here Nick, much as I'd like to. I sent all the data to chilledmonkeybrains and from my basic and underwhelming pack he created this exemplary Campaign Pack! So thanks to James for his efforts!
