Due to receiving many inquiries, I've been gathering info on setting up another die order. See HERE for pics of the dice color options previously available, and for other general information on the dice.

Some points of note for this time around:

* With the switch to a new server, the last dice ordering page was lost, so that needs to be completely redone.

* This time around, there will NOT be 32 different color combinations of dice to choose from. Not all of them were even ordered last time anyways. The oddball color configurations will simply not be available on this order. I expect there will be around 20 choices.

* Pricing will probably go up ever so slightly, though not much.

* A target shipping time of fall or winter, depending on the production schedule and how quickly things get put into place on my end.

* The ordering window will probably be left open for 4 weeks this time, instead of the 6-8 weeks I allowed for on the two previous orders.

Having gone over the colors, the tentative list would look like this:

Dice Color########333##Printing Colors

####Black###33333#########Yellow, White, Red, Silver

####White#####33333#######Black, Red, ?Green?

####Green###33333#########Black, White, Yellow

####Red####33333#########Black, White, Yellow

####Blue###33333##########Black, White, Yellow

####Yellow###33333#########Black, Red, ?Green?

####Ivory####33333#########Black, Red, ?Green?

There are question marks on the ?Green? printing, as I don't know if that option is available yet. If it is, I think people will like it though. That would make for 21 options, if the ?Green? turns out to be available; if not, then 18 options. Are there any options list that people jut gotta have? For instance, there are two colors of green dice, one brighter green and one darker green, but I have only listed one "green" dice color. Do we need options for both green dice colors, or not?

People can post their thoughts on things here, and when it is time for the next order, I will post a new thread for it and have this one locked.

EDIT: Also, the dice bags will be available too. I forget how much they were, but I think they were $3 or
$4 each, and they hold 50 of these dice.

I think it's awesome that you do this! And having organized some of the Dakka Dice orders for DCMs, I can relate to how much work it is...

The cost for these is somewhere between $1.00 - $1.50 per die, right?

I've missed out on the previous runs, so I'd defintely be interested this time around.

Yes, the price will be somewhere in the $1.00 to $1.50 range; probably somewhere in the middle of that, but I will verify that if putting together an order looks to be viable. The price will definitely be set and posted before any orders are taken.

And, yes, it is a pretty decent amount of work to put these big orders together.

I'd certainly be interested - can never have enough dice!!

Payment would be an issue - would it be paypal only, or would cheques be an option?

Unfortunately no. I must insist on there being a method to my madness. So, Paypal only. If you don't personally have a credit card then you must know somebody who does that can place the order for you, so this shouldn't really be an issue for anybody.

I'd be interested in 30 or so dice and a dice bag. Might add more dice depending on the final price of each die.

Would definitely order 30 or so of these dice, most likely in that lovely green/yellow combination, if given the opportunity.

There seems to be enough interest in another order (i.e. orders combined to be 2,000+ dice). There may be an issue in using the shopping cart web page like we did the previous two times (which worked out great), so I may end up handling orders via e-mail and Paypal. I'll gather the remaining information I need to get things up and running.

According to the OP, 50 dice fit in the bag.

I've sent off an inquiry about the final color options on the dice and dice bags. I'll post the info when I get it. Also, just to keep things simple, I am very tempted to limit inquiries to just one of the forums, that being Da Waaagh!, because they make a point of stickying the ordering threads so that they are easy for people to find.

But then we would have to travel to another forums, join the forum, and then pay attention to the other forum, just to keep up.

Yes...and no. The members of two of the three forums will have to do so. Let me pull out my tiniest violin and play a mournful tune for them. Far be it for me to want to keep things simple for myself when it is I who will be dealing with a couple hundred people, whereas you would only have to deal with one person- me (that is the "yes" part). Besides, you can choose to track (subscribe to) a thread and get- email notifications when new posts are made to said thread, rather than need to check on it all of the time (that is the "no" part). Most forums sort of wipe your butt for you, if you learn how to use the tools they provide.

And so I will likely go with the forum that makes things the easiest for me.

I just realized that I forgot to post this here. so, here we go:

WOOT! I got a reply! So, it is confirmed that the following color options for dice and dice bags will be available:

Dice Color: printing colors

Black: yellow, white, red, silver

White: black, red, green

Green: black, white, yellow

Red: black, white, yellow

Blue: black, white, yellow

Yellow: black, red, green

Ivory: black, red, green

Dice Bag Color: printing colors

Yellow: black, green, red

Black: green, white, yellow

Red: white, black

Green: white, black

Plain: black, green, red

The price of the dice will likely be about $1.25 US, though I will give a definite number on the cost of dice and dice bags when I launch the ordering thread. I do not have a price on dice bags yet, as that depends on how many will be ordered. With such a large color range though, I am betting that more than a few people will also want dice bags too (I am going to get a few black bags with yellow fer me Bad Moons to be sure :thumbs). I will get estimates on 0-100, 101-200, and 201-300 dice bag amounts. Don't expect much of a price break with the dice bags though, as the main thing will be being able to get dice bags in the colors you want. Once I have the final info on the dice bag prices, I will be ready to launch the ordering. However, there are a few options I am considering this time around:

Option # 1: I launch the ordering ASAP, but seeing as people often have little to no discretionary funds during the holiday season, I extend the ordering period by a great amount- say, until the end of February (about 12 weeks total). If I do this, and you have placed your order on Day 1, you will very likely not have your order in hand until May/June. Why? A few reasons:

* Ordering must remain open until we reach a viable ordering amount, which is 2,000+ dice. People took their time ordering last time around, but once I announce a closing date, a tidal wave of orders came in. Of course. When ordering, try not to wait until the last minute, as the sooner the 2,000+ mark is reached, the sooner I will post a closing date for ordering, and the sooner the order will be placed and get into production.
* I do take some time to make sure, to the best of my ability, that the order numbers are correct, which takes some time when you are dealing with few hundred orders for 5,000+ dice or so (last time was pretty brutal ).
* It takes about 2 weeks to manufacture 1,000 of these dice. The more dice that are ordered, the longer production takes. And that is if there are no production problems, or delays, such as Q-Workshop having prior company obligations to go to various gaming/ game manufacturing conventions. Yes, Q-Workshop needs to be "out there", and people need to understand that there is a very real possibility of this, and be patient and understanding about it. This happened previously, and we all got through it just find and dandy.
* Once I receive the dice, I count every one of them (yes, every one of them), to make sure that the order is there. I spend even more time dividing them up for each order, and, once those are set aside, I count them again before I seal the boxes. And I have to label all of those boxes with two addresses, fill out customs forms with two addresses and other info, and then seal the buggers up nicely such that they won't come open during shipping (people who have previously ordered dice from Waves #2 and #3 can attest to how I pack things), meaning even more time. You do that with a few hundred orders and the time piles up, but at least it is "WOOT! I see a light at the end of this long arse tunnel!" sort of time.

So that is Option #1

Option #2 is that I hold off on unleashing the ordering until the end of January, and let ordering run for all of February and March. The reason for this is that, once again, people often have little to no discretionary funds during the holiday season, so why not just hold off until a point where everyone is recover enough financially to place an order. I also wouldn't need to keep an eye on things for an even longer period of time, which is not a bad idea from my perspective, but I will let you guys decide. Option #2 will likely see dice in your hands around June/July. These are tentative time frames to be sure, and if I can get orders out earlier than that I will surely do so. I just want to be upfront and realistic about things. Once again, see the previous ordering threads for how things went on Waves #2 and #3, and note the dates of the opening posts and the last posts. I don't want anybody having any sort of delusions regarding how long things will take.

Lastly, once I get things set and ordering is imminent, I will be selecting a guinea pig to test out the new ordering format (mainly so that I can get used to it). That guinea pig will likely be gravedigger, if he is still interested.

Out of those two options I like number one because it gets the dice to us quicker. Though I also see the attractiveness of number two.

If I had a choice, I would choose option number 1.

I can't wait to put in an order for some dice.
